  • Looking for the ultimate day boat that is extremely affordable? Bayliner takes a fresh look at boating and again tries to make it accessible for everyone, with its new Bayliner Element. It is sporty, safe, simple and affordable. At 16 feet 2 inches, the Element can be stored in most garages. And under 2,500 pounds including the trailer, it can be towed with most vehicles. It has a one piece molded fibreglass deck, which stays waterproof, easy to clean and it has a modular conversational style lounge. The Sport model has a few extra features and graphics, and provides additional torque. The M shaped hull which has a modified V in the centre provides lateral stability. Porpoising, yes. Mine did too until I installed a $55 hydrofoil on the motor. Perfect now.

Yes, but the water was choppy too.

Never buy a boat without power tilt and trim.

What the hell is Bayliner thinking? Are they not making small bowriders anymore? This thing is an eyesore. And that thing ways 1500 pounds and they put a 60hp on it? That would be so sluggish even with just the driver let alone 3 or 4 pax. It would barely stay on plane.

I like it. No need for a 20+ foot pontoon boat when it's just the wife and I. Plus, being a first time boater, this looks easy to trailer and drive.
