- A video of how to take apart a mag lite mini led for maintenance purpose. I had already cleaned it, I did this again cause after running through some website, I really could not find out how to get the led light out. Hope this can help some one else.

FINALLY! This is my third Maglite mini LED that I've purchased. I've revived it twice already but on the third time, my old tricks didn't work. I finally found a video that shows how to remove the bulb! That was it this time, manipulated the metal contact on the bulb to point out and make good contact with the battery terminal and WALA, it's back. Thank you for this, saved me $30.
Allowing for the forensic / pathological issues, I found this very helpful - pictures speak a thousand words.
VIEWERS, DO NOT APPLY FORCE TO TO THE TINY LED LIGHT IF IT DOESN'T PUSH OUT LIKE IN THIS VIDEO! You may break the bulb and need to order a new bulb assembly from Maglite. Use a small socket to apply force around the edges, instead,. If it doesn't move then, the battery has probably leaked and you need to view another video about stuck battery.
Saved mine from the trash !!!!!! thanks for posting !
I have been fen with this light for weeks. Thanks for the led removal. Now I can clean the contacts better.
That explained it. You display a rare economy of speech
Of course it comes out the backside, how silly of me!! Thumbs up for this upload fella!
Showed me what I needed to know. Thanks!
Thank you as well.
Thank you very much. You saved my life. ;)
Thanks for the vid it helped alot for cleaning. :)
Thank You Helped alot.
were can I get a replacement bulb like this one shown to purchase
Great stuff. Thx!
I can't get the end off. It's like seized on there and no amount of force is getting it off. It's like someone super super glued the end on. Trying to figure out how to maybe heat it up without ruining it.
same here
Me 2! I'm thinking maybe the battery leaked and froze the end on.
same here
Edy Lynn Same here. Did any of u finally get the end off?
Use a cloth for protection if you don't want to scratch the surface, then use pliers if it's stuck.
This is really creepy. But voting up, it serves some purpose. I just need to figure out how to remove the bulbs from the screw top thing
thank you for your help. bye
How do you get the SPARE BULB out of the end cap? No one can because it's one welded piece. Videos show everything BUT that. Proves my theory that the spare bulb is an urban legend.
The older lights with the incandescent or standard bulbs did have a space in the end cap under the spring. I'm not sure about the newer ones.
@@timsnider2556 They don't. The LED Pro models use a somewhat surface mount LED bulb in a cased housing. No bulb replacement for it. Best bet is to clean the spring, under the spring, clean the inside, clean the terminals underneath the LED housing and put in fresh batteries. If it still isn't turning on after that, the LED is probably dead.
S9 all you had to do to remove the led housing assembly was to just push down hard on it to pop it out of place?
I have the same torch . Does anyone know where to get a replacement led housing for this torch? Btw I managed to get the batteries out but I damaged the led or the led housing.
Hi my dear. I need to by to my discontinued Mini Maglite Led - 3AA cells, the led and the socket where the led fixed. Do you have some Idea where I get it? This led assy is the same for mini maglite led 2AA cells? please reply..............
The pieces I needed appears in this film or are very similar................
Thank you a lot!
When i do that i twist the bigger end of the spring like a screw. Fallow the spring pattern not against.
It did help, thanks. Now to figure out if the LED is burned out.
You are a f*cking genius thank you so muchhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I found this after I got mine apart. Batteries leaked stuck good. I’m debating if I take the time with a round wire brush to clean the wall which is in rough shape with corrosion . Worst part is batteries were replaced only a couple months before so it didn’t sit for a year or anything 🤬
Thanks for the know how
Let me guess. Duracell?
@@AndreiDPop yes how did you guess. 😂Duracell has leaked a few times and destroyed whatever they were in. I’ve started using Energizer max and so far no leaks
@@foxwood67 I’ve only ever had one brand of battery leak. Duracell.
I found this video looking for a way to disassemble my flashlight after…you guessed it. Duracell batteries leaked.
I’ve never had an energizer battery leak. Ever.
So now I only buy Member’s Mark batteries, which are made by Energizer.
Great idea wearing gloves Maintancemole. Being a psycho serial killer you definitely don't want to leave prints on something you could potentially forget and leave inside one of your victims body cavities.
Thank you. Where can I buy a New bulb ?
Wrap the open end with a a couple of bags and tap it against a piece of wood or something that wont bend the end, if the bag rip replace you don't want that stuff on you. but you probably got a new one by now sorry for the late reply.
Thanks
Sorry for the long wait on the reply, ebay or amazon might carry them
anyone have any ideas how to get a corroded and stuck battery out?
great..when it finally got to the part i wanted to see you went out of frame
Same. Thanks for nothing
Even though you can see what is being done, it would have been better with talking.
Russell Keating Narrative Russell Narrative lol
I tried this and this doesn't seem to be true. How the heck do I get my spring back in place xD
Sure would be nice if the camera was viewing what you were doing !!! CAN'T SEE !!!
Unfortunately, you did not show the orientation of the piece into which the the small bulb fits ... or the same for the tiny metal contact points within that same piece. There were also a couple of seconds when what you were doing went out of frame. My experience with the Mini Mag has not been good over all ... I was hoping this would give the answers I needed. Regrettably, it didn't.
Mi lampara no funciona como se cambia el led. Donde lo venden
Amazon.com o Lowes.com o Homedepot.com
How do you get the light out?

INTERESTING,BUT NEXT TIME PUT THE WHOLE PROCEDURE IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA
El comentario en español que tanto buscaban 👁️👅👁️
Nm, fixed the spring :P
Can't see or hear any comments
I didn't pay attention to the brand is but they are amirite , I got them from the health aisle at wal-mart10 for 100 is way better then 4 for 6 at auto part stores.
Soak the thing in vinegar for 15 min or so... then smack it against something like the inside of your kitchen sink. My AA fell right out after that.
Seriously, you made all the interesting stuff (especially how to remove the front cap with LED) OFF-SCREEN but still decided to publish the video?
Nope.. pushing down on the LED does not pop it out. It spins in place and is pushed forward when the batteries are inserted but it dues not simply push out as shown.
Sorry for the late replies.
that I can find this bulb;
blue gloves from hf, amirite?
AMSR
Not good. Much of your hand action takes place out of sight. I can’t see much of how parts go back together.

Why do people even purchase mini-Maglites anymore? There are so many different brands/quality/sizes of flashlights online nowadays that Maglights ought to be obsolete. Maglights are old-school and probably more for collection-purposes. "Yeah, I can get an American-Flag version of a mini-Maglight..." So what?
They're american made, they're timeless classics, they're durable, and they're downright simple. You twist the head, you get light. No high-medium-low-firefly-strobe or any circuit boards to break. Just a battery, a switch, and an LED. no bullshit. It's the same reason zippo lighters are still being sold.
The problem is- - - the 'american' (with a lower-case A) flashlight cannot compete with the newer-style flashlights from China. Yeah, simple and rugged until you have to learn how to fix it (or just purchase another Maglite). Thanks for the reply though...
Mag-lites just work. My work on at a different wavelength, and are better at certain jobs. Mags are a simple repair,LEDS on the other hand are a short trip to the trash can, then off to deplete my bank account.
First off, Maglite is the best flashlight I've ever owned, and there have been plenty of junkers over the course of my lifetime. As for the Mini - it was free with the package I got. And besides being mini, the Mini works great. (btw, why were you here if you don't own a Maglite?)
Well that’s useless if the batteries are stuck in there. Just saying
out of frame
This video is creepy AF
very poor quality torch
These silent videos are FUCKING obnoxious.
Terrible
