Sometimes a few hunters too. This way, you'd get griefed to open the spawns for both factions of Chinese. This won't be farmable outside of being a battleground. 5 knplayers. 350+ of them 60 in 1 month tops. 10% of those 350+ fughting to farm in this area alone.

When you're a druid and you know what you're doing, the smart enemies wont even bother trying to gank you. Not because they can't, but because even if they can, it will take forever.

This gave me something to think about. I always play on PvP servers but most of the time I don't attack others I just defend myself. It backfires quite often. You spare some dude at very low life fighting a mob but when he has healed up here he comes attacking you when you are grinding at low health. Not giving a damn about how nice you just were not attacking him. My worry I guess has been that if I attack and kill them first I'm not going to get any peace grinding afterwards.
It really depends on what stage of the game you are at too. Normally at the very start of Classic people will leave each other alone because people just want to level and the pvp system isn't implemented yet so there is not as much incentive to kill people.
For people playing classic. You wont do nearly as much damage as him. Lvl 60 druid here with some tier 1 gear. I heal half as much. Also, this does not work on medium servers because stuff does not sell at all.
I used to farm this on my warlock. Could pull as many or more with all the dots including siphon life/drain life. Just have to spec right and you can make a great farm spot out of it.
As a druid I also basically lived in that zone (real and pservers). Even if bored of farming, the pvp was fun. Tons of raid farm items there do you get players with good gear on but also get to see who are pvp'rs and who are just raid loggers.
May want to mention why the runes are so special. They are like a life tap, trade health for some mana. But they also do not share a cool down with mana pots so if you are having problems with mana while raiding you can pop both a pot and a rune back to back for a lot of mana. I farmed these on my priest in Vanilla.
Back in vanilla I'd farm here regularly with my warlock (and at the nearby firbolg village). I was on a PVE server, and I've been thinking I might try a PVP server when Classic rolls out, but after watching your video I'm back on the fence. :-P
Yeah a lesson for the "nice guys" out there: DO NOT leave lower players alone, especially healers. Often times they will not pick a fight with you (obv reasons) but as soon as you get into a fight with a level 60 they pay you back for leaving them be for 30 mins by jumping in to help the guy fighting you. Also, the fact that the 53 is a Corp and the 60 Mage is a Pvt says something... I think that mage is used to losing.
Good stuff thanks for vid, one question though. did you do this in moonglow spec or heart of the wild spec? i often find it hard to do AOE pulls and resort to going bear and swipe which makes process so much slower. Atm running heart of wild spec / resto spec.
I think I was grinding there on my warlock in vanilla from 55-58 or something, I had all the felcloth for my robe if the void while getting XP cloth and gold ...But I was playing a but late into vanilla so it wasn't that dense from enemy players. Probably it will be packed in classic launch .
give it time. Ive seen felcloth go 2g and 2 days later up to 6g per. (My opinion): Most classic players are full time workers. School peeps yeah but not as much an impact from 6pm-11pm server. I wait till the weekend when servers full. During the week server is never above medium. As for drop rate yeah its a lil underwhelming when 4 mobs in a row have 0 loot.

The rogues always stun me out of barkskin/hurricane early, I also don’t seem to have enough damage to get them in one hurricane. Do I need better gear?
For some classes it is good for others it isn't unless you are the spec that matches up with the gear that drops. For Paladins/Druids that aren't healers and Warriors that aren't tanks there isn't much for them.
@@Turtlemilk Yeah indeed. Farming the Ogre Warlocks at Deadwind Pass is pretty nice cash. About 30g/h from just the gold, silk and grays and there's a change to get an enchating pattern that sells for 150g-250g
Drinking up, since it is one minute and by the time you cast the spell + kill and loot the mobs you only have 20-40 sec left on the cooldown but you still have to drink. So it should be up every pull.
4:07 starts aggroing satyrs, 4:49 finishes killing all of them, then waits for mana 20 seconds, total 5 satyrs killed, roughly 1 min time spent, including resting. Gets really low on mana and risks dying to decently geared enemies. 12:30 starts killing satyrs in catform, 13:03 killed 4 satyrs, high mana and health so no need to rest. HOW is this slower than the aoe method? Not only this but your mana will never be low since it's regening it in catform, so you're unlikely to be caught off-guard.
@@MrBrian465 if it was by 5 times, at 12:52 healing touch took 2 seconds, are you trying to say it has a cast time of 10 seconds? I realise it's sped up, by 50% -100% or so, but not x5.
@@MrBrian465 I'd actually be quite interested in a datasheet with actual farm times compared, INCLUDING downtime from eating/drinking/aggroing. Sure aoe farm is a lot faster if you exclude those, but I'm not 100% sold on the idea. Besides, he fought lower lvl/ undergeared players, but if he was ambushed by another druid or someone else in comparable gear, being so low hp from aoe farm he'd stand no chance.

I remember running through felwood when my spriest was like high 40s and a skull level troll rogue was tryin to jump me. He was probably mid to high 50s based on gear but i got close to killing him. I went oom even with mana pots but i always kept rank 1 swp on my bar and cast it to avoid stealth and was wanding.. Got him to like 20% a few times i guess till he said fk it and left me alone. Moral of the story is... Shadow priests are fucking strong!! Loved leveling ne priest on pvp with shadowmeld etc.. Next time id roll dwarf fem priest.

this is only doable as horde. alliance are 30:70 ratio on pvp servers so you'll get 3:1'd as alliance.
What addons do you use to get that nice font?
That would be crazy on a pvp server. I've made thousands of gold in that area. Never had to worry about being ganked.

Always put leveling ahead of getting certain items or quest rewards. You can always come back later. Druid is very gear independent.

I farmed this area on shaman and hunter. On my hunter I could kill them as fast as they spawned, and this was with shit gear.

Yeah, its all about the mana pool. You won't have insect swarm so it could be a bit more challenging.

Vartosu it was maybe 1.5 seconds, and the original cast time is 3.5. Over 2 times speed. My point still stands.

are we starting off with the patch where you can buy all the PvP gear you want without needing the rank for it? I thought that was the TBC pre-patch.
Nope. Open world PvP in phase 2 will be the first place to rank, then phase 3 you get BGs. Still have to rank for gear
