    If you feel like getting out the sewing machine for this project, an idea when covering something circular is to cut the circle, then run a gathering stitch around the fabric and gather it around your circular object. Sometimes it's easier to manipulate around the object especially with the high temp hot glue. Thank you for the cute idea.

    I need a pin cushion! This one looks easy to make. Thanks Timothy!

    To make this into a great teacher gift... Add a sewing needle and safety pins into the pin cushion, some thread in the box, and maybe a small pair of scissors. Us teachers can always use a small sewing kit to keep in the classroom!

    You could run a basting stitch in a circle , then draw it up to gather evenly under the base of the half ball to make it a lot prettier. Then you glue it down.

    Thank you so much Tim, I really really enjoyed watching you create this amazing and useful pincushion and clips combined. Great idea, and you’re right it doesn’t have to look pretty, it’s a functional thing. I love ❤❤❤❤❤ it, and will trawl around the Poundland shops to to try and find something similar to use for it. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags

    People need to make sure they don't get floral foam for fresh flowers. A serrated bread knife works great too. I just love watching your videos. Reminds me of my years working at Oregon Craft and Floral.

    Love this idea. I have 4 daughters and I have put this on a list for Christmas gifts. I think I will get some black and white thread with a few sewing needles for the bottom. Thanks for such a great idea !!😊

    Get the silicone finger tip protectors at the dollar tree, craft section, saves the fingers! I love mine because as careful as I try to be I always burn my fingers!

    Really neat idea! That 'knife' you are using is probably a hack saw. A bread knife might work as well or better.

      Totally! I also sometimes use an electric knife to cut foam.

    I also like that you show what NOT to do because I would have done the exact thing. 😁

      I always think I should take them out, but then I realize that it’s better to know what “not” to do. I’m glad you appreciate it.

    yes please be careful using a hot glue gun, especially with Styrofoam. You may want to consider a low temp glue gun. ( I work at a craft store....many years of experience.) My suggestion-Always wear pants when using a hot glue gun. Ask me how I know.

    • @timothytotten9409
      @timothytotten9409  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Oh no! I can only imagine why you say to wear pants! Sounds like a terrible experience.
