- Think Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid... but in a symmetrical ball.
With the Hazmat core and HK22 Semtex Hybrid, the Hazmat peels off the spot and goes sideways through the pins. What a fun ball to throw with over 7° of impact angle on a lot of shots!
With the help of SPECTO data, it'll help tell the story about reaction shape, overall hook and continuation through the pins. Here are the SPECTO data points used and definition of each term:
Launch Speed - Speed measured off the hand.
Entry Speed - Speed measured at the pins. (What you'd see on your home center MPH screens)
Rev Rate - Revolutions Per Minute (RPM)
Launch Angle - The angle the ball traveled the first 10 feet.
Break Point Position - Board at which the ball was at its outermost position.
Total Hook - Total number of boards the ball crosses on the way to the pins.
Hook Power - Number of boards the ball hooked based on the True Breakpoint.
Entry Angle - The angle of the ball between 51 and 55 feet.
Impact Angle - The angle of the ball between 57 and 59.5 feet.
Pin Deck Exit - Ball position at the end of the pin deck.

Had to take the polish off mine. Was leaving 8 and 9 pin with it. Not anymore, ball hits like a mack truck 10 back! Mine is drilled pin down and I love it.

Reminds me of of the plague and the infection more so the infection but with more downlane movement due to it being symmetrical as the infection was asymmetrical.
I appreciate the ball review as always. I purchased a DV8 verge hybrid because of your review and already love it. My league teammate wants a hk22 hybrid symmetrical now. How does this hazmat compare to the Verge hybrid? To me it seems quicker and skids slightly longer. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

I have a #15 Scandal Pearl (Not the S). I absolutely LOVE the way the Scandal performs for me, however it is getting old, and I need to drop to a #14 due to an elbow replacement. Do you have any thoughts or comments regarding the Hazmat as a comparable replacement for the Scandal Pearl, or is there another you might recommend I research?

By the numbers it’s as close as it gets. I have no experience with Scandal but it looks like this would by the closest comparison in the Hammer line.

Short answer is I look at the first set of dots and target thru the arrows for my launch angle.

Yes absolutely.
Is this different enough from a cuda pearl to have both?
I think so. Hazmat is a little stronger and you can separate them more with a little surface.
