  • It's time to build a 3 ball arsenal using Brunswick bowling balls that will complement each other and tackle the heavy oil patterns you might see. I'll be using the Infinity, Teal Rhino Pro and Quantum EVO Response for my 1-2-3 punch! Let's see how it works out for me!
    With the help of SPECTO data, it'll help tell the story about reaction shape, overall hook and continuation through the pins. Here are the SPECTO data points used and definition of each term:
    Ball Speed - Speed measured off the hand.
    Rev Rate - Revolutions Per Minute (RPM)
    Launch Angle - The angle the ball traveled the first 10 feet.
    Break Point Position - Board at which the ball was at its outermost position.
    Total Hook - Total number of boards the ball crosses on the way to the pins.
    Hook Power - Number of boards the ball hooked based on the True Breakpoint.
    Entry Angle - The angle of the ball between 51 and 55 feet.
    Impact Angle - The angle of the ball between 57 and 59.5 feet.
    Pin Deck Exit - Ball position at the end of the pin deck.

    3 ball Brunswick Fury, wicked Siege, and the swarm. I heard another youtuber call the wicked garbage but that was one of my favorite bowling balls.

    Really enjoying this video series on three ball sets. Just getting back into bowling and feel like these vids are helping me learn a lot.

    Solid Cuda. Explosion. Eruption. I like cores that are low RG on the THS; Explosion/Eruption. The Cuda I want to use for heavier oil. Always Columbia. I am old school!

    My pick for an all Brunswick 3-Ball Arsenal would be Defender, Method and Melee Jab S.E. 😉 pretty versatile choices for my slightly rev dominant game I think 💪

    So this was really hard one for me... I'm not great with pearls... So I'm going to do... Mindset, Infinity, and a Crown Jewel for a spare ball. I love that teal Rhino though... It would live on the shelf though.

    My 3-ball arsenal includes the Rhino Pro because it is classic, retro, and too cool of a color. Second would be the latest strong ball Brunswick comes out with. And third would be the 1960s version of the Brunswick Black Beauty rubber ball that I would use on the dried out area from the gutter to the 7 board. That’s the ball I used to win a handful of trophies as a junior bowler, so I am sure I could go back in time on the lanes!

    These videos are so helpful for many reasons. The idea of building an arsenal along with lane play is brilliant. Your thought process is very nice to understand. My only problem is I use equipment from 6/7 brands and my PSO will tell me which balls look good or not so we are not within one brand. Thanks much for taking the time to do these!

    Great video!!! This would have been a #Team800Grit opportunity!! Pin down the world with surface on the heavier/longer/fresh is usually how I attack em!!

    Purple Hammer, Hammer Envy, Hammer Raw orange/black. Envy needs a little extra oil that the urethane lays down. The Raw is basically a dry lane skid/flip and spare ball combo

  • @Phillip_Viera
    @Phillip_Viera Před rokem

    I’ve been using my urethane for spares so it’s allowed me to keep my plastic ball aside and has given me space to add one more ball. Problem is I have no idea what to get. I have:
    Brutal collision - Asym solid - 55x5x45
    Phaze 2 - benchmark sym solid 55x3x30
    3D offset attack - Asym Pearl - 60x4x30
    Melee jab carbon - sym Pearl - 45x4x45
    Purple hammer - urethane
    I was considering a weaker ball, something higher Rg and lower diff(dv8 captiv8, purple solid reactive, radioactive vibe, teal rhino pro, sneak attack solid). Or maybe something like an Envy tour (low rg and low diff). And then there’s part of me that says screw that noise and get like a paragon Pearl or a troublemaker… just because
    I guess the goal is not to add anything too similar to what I already have. And if I do, then the layout needs to be different. I don’t really have a favorite layout anyways, have just tried different things.
    PAP - 4.25 inch over 1.5 inch up
    Speed off hand tends to naturally be around 17mph
    Rev rate between 450-475
    Don’t know my tilt and other stats but I tend to have an oil line close to my ring finger and a lot of flare usually.
    Any thoughts/suggestions?

    • @brunsnick
      @brunsnick  Před rokem +1

      I’d go Purple Reactive or Teal Rhino Pro in there.

    I like your vids for the most part, I just don't understand why you don't state the core #'s (and even comparative cover formula strengths since bruns doesn't have a chart). SPI reviewers show or atleast tell us the core #'s and since they have coverstock charts you can see that a NEX pearl cover will be smoother and earlier then an R2S solid because we can see NEX is a MUCH stronger base formula on the chart. You tell an informed bowler this ball is 2.52RG .056Diff .15 and we know about what it should do. Finally stepped out spi w a Blk Widow 2.0 hybrid & LOVE IT. Wanna keep trying other stuff but need the info.

    I just watched this video and it peaked my interest. I've been bowling with an Ebonite Showtime for the past 17 years...pause for laughter. I encountered super heavy oil at the local bowling center just yesterday and the ball just couldn't get up and go. What's more versatile in that situation, a ball with similar RG, lower diff with solid cover, or a ball with a higher diff and similar cover as the Showtime? Is it time to retire the old gal?

    • @brunsnick
      @brunsnick  Před 8 měsíci +1

      I’d take a look at Ebonite GB2 or Columbia Piranha. 👍🏻

    would having a pin down ball help get the ball to slow down sooner on tighter angles?

    • @brunsnick

      Not usually for me, no. Surface will be the most important tweak to get that ball to read properly.
