You should leave the hype logo center chest for the shirt and put the It's just different on the back. Would make it a much cleaner design.

I have had the widow 3.0 for about 3 months now and love it and it's a ball that hits hard and carriers thru like you want I also have the hybrid 2.0 the ghost pearl and the exstreme envy and my go to balk if all else fails is my hammer obsession

I've been throwing the Purple Hammer Reactive in league all season and passed on the NU since I was bowling above my average any my handicap was dropping, but with summer leagues starting up in May, I called the pro shop yesterday and threw my hat in ring in the Hammer Effect. Ordered the 15 lb to throw in the mix. Still trying to throw that 700 series!
It’s just different, yes I’m going or need one in large please. Hammer Effect looking sick..I don’t match up well to the Widow Hybrid so maybe the Effect will be it, slot in below the Extreme Envy

2nd season league bowler here...I went with the Widow hybrid 2.0 after the ball return began to eat chunks out of my Phaze 5. I may be Widow for life now... a deeply different tool. Thanks Charles for your reviews sir.

It's so funny to experience the evolution of the "house shot". Back in the 90s, if you got the ball out to the 1-2 board it would BOUNCE back toward the head pin. In those days, getting the ball too far out meant you'd worry about it hitting too high. That's where most of the friction was. Now there's an OB outside if the 3 or 4-ish board, but the 4 board is SCORCHED dry.
I still struggle to think of any pattern with an OB like that as a "house shot". Anyone under 40 is probably just used to it but it'll always be weird to me.
You think the Effect will work w/ lower rev bowlers?...im still working on my yo-yo release and currently have a phaze 2 that im working w/ and am looking for a pearl to work w/...nice vid by the way!...new sub!!!
I would really like to see this ball compared to the Vebo. It looks fairly round and continuous just like that ball does for me
You should do a comparison between the Effect and the Violent Collision. They seem very close on paper with the main difference being the core.

New to your channel, so if I ask stupid questions, give me a break. Do you ever compare balls from non-Hammer companies? I'm an amateur who's almost 68 and returning to bowling after probably over 35 years gap. I bowled two seasons when I was in my early to mid 30's and my highest average back then was about 180. I had to quit due to back problems caused by a car accident, and two surgeries, but decided to start bowling league again this season. I'm having so much fun, I've purchased two new balls, and just ordered a Black Widow 3.0 last night. I'd be interested in a comparison of the Black Widow 3.0 and the Storm Harsh Reality (that's my main ball now, that I bought as soon as it was released).
I've bowled new personal best game (252) and series (230, 232, & 229 for a 691) within the first week of owning the Harsh Reality, but I'm planning on getting some lessons and doing even better with the Hammer Black Widow 3.0, over the next few months. I'd love to get at least one 300 game before I can't bowl anymore, but only time will tell. You are only as old as you feel, and think.

There’s a video where I compare them which is out now. But they are in the same ball park of ball reaction. I have the DNA Coil being an earlier than the effect. Both give you some down lane motion I just get a little more change of direction from the effect in comparison to the DNA.
Charles always watching your videos and watching you grow as a top u tuber. Have a question just got my hands on the Effect and almost fell over in discussed. This was the first ball on a fresh medium house shot continuously hook stop and had a couple go almost dead straight. I then took it out at towards the end of league and didn’t see any difference. I would like your opinion or advice for I’m an SPI guy and am totally confused with this reaction otherwise would have went with the Coil of gave the 3.0 a try. The effect just may need a surface adjustment! If it’s going straight or it also could be drilled to strong and is rolling out. It’s hard to say when I can t see the ball going down the lane.
But start with altering the surface and see if that improves your reactions 500, 2000, 3000 finish.

The only difference I see is because the pancake flip puck is in tact since it’s a dot ball, vs the widow pick gets drilled on or around it.
If they could make a widow with dot which they can’t, would be the best ball ever!
So that’s why we have an Effect! 🤷🏾♂️

Higher rev rate crowd can start with it, more speed dominant, end of game 1 - game 2 and beyond.

Two different ball motions and spots in the bag. What do you currently have and we can see which ball fills a bigger need.
Currently have the the original zen the motiv nuclear forge and the storm absolute
Optimum idol would make more sense out of those two. You have a lot of shiny equipment. I would go stronger cover to give you a much different shape. Idol, absolute power, widow 3.0 would be the balls I recommend.

Really like this ball but I'm a low rev low speed player and this ball seams like a hockey stick motion wich would be hard for me to control. is there any way to tame down that reaction with layout and surface prep so a guy like me can use that ball?
Definitely going stronger layout allowing the ball to start up earlier and blend out its down lane reaction can help. But if you are looking in on for a smoother ball or something this clean and round there may be better options out there for you. Instead of making a ball do something other than what it was designed for doesn’t always work out.
Don’t by ford F-150 raptor than hope it allows you to get 40 miles per gallon.

How does this compare to the 3.0?
Step down from the 3.0. This ball will be cleaner through the front part where the widow will start to pickup and get into a roll faster.
okay.. have to ask the question, especially after seeing CTD review the ball and asked for others to verify.. Did you catch a scent/smell from the ball?? If so, I'll be completely shocked as to what has happened!
There is something chemically that is giving off a different scent than the typically Brunswick smell.
