i’ve been bowling a lot recently and bowled a 187 last week. my friends and i started discussing playing more often and some of us ordered our own balls, i opted for the arctic vibe while my friend got the radioactive vibe. should be getting them in tomorrow super excited to try them out !!
BW 3.0 is at the top of my bag. I moved away from Hammer for a few years, but they are great! This is my first Black Widow and it does not disappoint. My arsenal is a mix of Brunswick, Motiv, and SPI
hazmat should just fill the right column brunswick polish for weak sharp, brunswick compound for medium sharp, and if you can remove the slip agent from the polish it becomes extremely aggressive (don't ask me how i know).
I have 3.0 and I find the 2.0 Hybrid to be a great ball down because it goes much longer for when the 3.0 is burning up. I have a Web tour and I think that and the new Scorpion are really similar…My wife is throwing the Effect and Ocean Vibe as a 1-2 punch…
My strong/smooth is actually a Dark Web solid. It has an excellent benchmark shape that is very smooth and predictable and it handles alot of oil well. I also have the Med/smooth as the Scorpion LF. Again this ball has a benchmark shape that is very smooth and predictable and the ball is a bit more versatile than the Dark Web solid. Weak/smooth is my Scorpion Hybrid. Strong/sharp I don't have an option for currently but with my revs I would put a BW 3.0 here. Med/sharp is my Web Pearl. Weak/Sharp is my Scorpion Sting.

I would start with the Scorpiin Hybrid then transition to the Sting for game 3 but I realized that everyone was throwing the same line and burning up the lanes so I have actually started far left with the Sting game 1 and moving right as the lanes transition and that really helped me. I have been very happy with my Scorpion Sting, especially when I pair it with the Scorpion Hybrid 🦂
I have a 2.0 hybrid (drilled aggressive) and an envy tour (drilled controllable), where would those be in these categories? Would an aggressive drilled BW 3.0 be a good complement or too much overlap? Looking at getting one of the VIBE balls as my burn ball for games 7-9 for rare tournaments that don’t reoil.
The Envy Tour would fit in the Strong/Smooth category and the 2.0 Hybrid would fit in the Strong/Sharp category. I think the BW 3.0 would overlap a little too much, especially if your next ball down would be the Vibe that you mention. Something like a Scorpion Low Flare could bridge that gap

May sound strange, but the old Hammer Scandal works perfect with my game. At any rate, Hammers are great balls !

No they roll very different. The 2.0 hybrid is way cleaner and sharper. Closer to the effect than the 3.0

The Purple Reactive could fit in that slot, otherwise from other brands you can go with the GB5
My vibes are reverse, ocean vibe smooth and radioactive really sharp
