Please. Never stop this. I absolutely love this and as a no thumb one bowler it’s rare to find others that bowl like I do. To see that a no thumb bowler can be coached successfully is amazing. Absolutely love this. Looking forward to seeing more.
We need more coaches like Mark Baker, with lanes and great training.
Gotta say we agree, but luckily he’s able to be reached from anywhere with his virtual lessons and such. Markbakerbowling.com you can check it all out
I just started to watch your videos, and share them with other people, only people want to do better they are already 190 -200+bowlers, I am 70 years old. I'm bored with seniors and got some good seniors out there. I'm just getting my arsenal together now that I'm learning to throw each bowling ball, I meant to say each peach bowling ball great content. Keep it up man. Thanks again. I'm going to get better. I got the equipment now and I got to get my steps together my release together where to put the ball down on the lane on my mark when to change bowling balls and all that other good stuff. Thanks again man. Let me know you got this text. I appreciate it. Take care.
Mark is my coach and he is beyond amazing. I always have in my head “What would Mark say” and it calms me down and puts me in the best bowling mindset of me during tournaments. His video series is one you cannot miss! Go see Mark!!!
Couldn't agree more!
Its so good to hear affirmation in this video for the things that I work on weekly with my game and focus, also for my Teammate (Wife).
🤝🏾🤝🏾 happy wife happy life 😂
I’m a two finger no thumb, one handed bowler like Earl…. Could u possibly do a video strictly about his approach, release, steps, etc? Love the videos btw💯💪🏼
We can make that happen
This is fantastic. my fav new series. 🔥
🙌🏾 be sure to subscribe to keep up with the new episodes!
Excited for this channel
I also am a 2 finger no thumb one hand style, and i learned alot with the quick segment with earl. Gotta keep that in mind not throwing with my shoulder. Would love a longer video with more pointers! Been floating around a 185 average, trying to get up to the 190's
Tang just needs the Magic GEM and everything just magically falls in place :)
Thank you for your efforts as I stumbled upon this. I have Mark’s original dvd and book I really enjoyed this…
So informative, I actually may go practice now!! Love it ❤
Great video ! Ive watched it so many times already, Mark was one of my favorites bowlers
Glad you enjoyed it
Fantastic Video, alot of knowledge is in Mark's head, Thank You
Best in the business!
Great content. It is great seeing these folks like Mark Baker and Darren Tang contributing to grow the sport of bowling. I was surprised to see "Schanen-Canon'" it is good to see he is recovering well. 👍
That was EXCELLENT THANKS 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
I bowled next to Earl and Tone’s team a lot when I lived in Los Angeles, and they are always really fun to watch. what an awesome opportunity to bowl with Darren and Mark. great video!
Great great educational video. Saved this in my playlist as one of the best bowling videos out there.Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Everyone who wants to be coached by mark needs to get his book “the game changer” it’s like 13 dollars for an Ebook. I’m about halfway through and just bowled a 226 yesterday and used his critics. I will vouch for this book my whole life. Next best thing to being there next to him
So dope!
Great video, thanks for sharing your experience with the Great Mark Baker
Thank you, and thanks to you for watching!
I love this video. Marks the best. He puts on Camp Bakes lots of information at the camp and Hall of Fame instructors.
The boyz Earl and Rich!
I just got back into bowling this past year after having been out for about 15 years. This is the kind of content I am here for! I’m at about 195 average working on getting back above 200 and hopefully up to a consistent 230+.
Went through this exact situation a year ago and it’s the best decision I’ve made in a while. We got plenty more coming! 230+ loading 🔋
Same here lol I'm at 193
I did the same thing about 3 yrs ago, and the content on CZcams compared to what was available in the 90s and early 2000s is amazing!
if you want to be better. stop bowling on house shot. all you'll learn from that is bad habits
Mark baker is definitely the goat. I’ve been to that facility 3 times and each time I left a better bowler.
The best!
anyway I can get picture of those posters, Baker Box?
GREAT video!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it
I have an appt to see Baker in a couple days. This was a great preview!
Glad you found it helpful. Mark is the man so I'm sure you will enjoy it
Mo Pinel told me a few years back, that balance is key to throwing good shots. 😊
Absolutely
I was told the same by Pinel.
Excellent content and nicely produced.
Much appreciated!
Man I wish I had something like this. I'm bowling in college in the fall specifcally to actually get focused coaching for once
Best of luck this fall! Hopefully we can keep helping, Mark also offers virtual lessons as well. You should check it out
🔥🔥🔥
I can watch Darren T bowl all day long. SO fluid! At this point, I believe that his biggest flaw has little to do with his physical game, and has everything to do with getting too deep into his own head.
I remember when Mark Baker was a professional bowler back in 1986 when he used to face Marshal Holman of the Firestone Tournament Of Champions when his right foot got stuck in the line & it was actually a strike & the PBA ruled him out “foul” at the time of his release swing. But he’s a real good bowler & now he coaches professional bowlers like Darren Tang, only if my chance to meet Mark in person because I’m an amateur bowler & bowl with the PBA/PWBA professional bowlers. The same year that Walter Ray Williams Jr. became the PBA player of the year back in 1986. And I watch Mark Baker on TV since I was 11 years old.
Very well done video - Definitely need a coach
Thank you guys for this. I've been told I'm pretty smooth by everyone I've bowled with and/or against, but I've never been evaluated by a coach. That is my goal this year, and this video is proof of that. Be as blunt with me as you want Mark.
I coach all my teammates, no one teaches me. They critique, not coach
That's a great idea. Talking with a coach is a great way to get an educated set of eyes on you. One lesson could change your game forever if it fixes a flaw you did not realize you had. We highly recommend a lesson with Mark Baker if you have the chance.
@@TheCleanUpCrew300 does he do virtual evaluations?
@@williambrownsjr.7854 he does. check out his website www.markbakerbowling.com . He has a page on there explaining his virtual lessons.
Starts at 13:05. I have the pleasure of watching and bowling with Lamaki Welch a few nights a week in league. They are not exaggerating his rev rate on this video. After he torches the right side of lane He can switch to a back up ball with the same speed and revs and ripped off a 280 like that against me. He is also the only player I've seen in person or on TV where his ball flies off the pin deck before the pins.
He throws heat
Man I would love to work with a legend like this for a week I bet I would be amazing
Mark is the best. He does in person coaching if you are out in California or virtual lessons as well. We learn so much every time we are with him
I loved this video. If I was to try and look at a pba bowler with similar style I'm not sure who I would have as I am a 2 handed bowler but I throw with my thumb in the ball (as i prefer it) however my back swing feels very short
content is fire
Thank you very much. We are trying ha
SurfBowl 810 Scratch represent 😉
Go Earl!!!!
Would really love to get a coaching session like this. With some caveats as the one thing people see first in my game is I throw off the wrong foot. That's kind of my identity! Would love to see what things I can change other than that to increase my average. At about a 200 avg even with multiple 300s.
You should check out Marks virtual sessions! It may give you a chance to hear from him first hand what he thinks could help you nost
BAKESSS!!
So never skip leg day!
Never
❤❤❤❤❤
What about us one handed lefties 🤣 J/K great content….
Thank you so much, and that's a great suggestion. We will keep some lefty content in mind for the future.
Hell yeah, Winnetka bowl locals. 🎳🙏🏽
at 5:42 over the line mark it zero lol jk
I live inNorth Carolina I wish I could see Mark Baker but it ain't going to happen. I'm hoping to get back in the bowling competitive tournaments and Regional tour in the next couple years dude I need a little tuning class
I highly recommend him. Check out his website www.markbakerbowling.com . He also does private virtual lessons where you can work with him through internet and video to coach you if you cannot make it out to California
Highly recommend the 2handed video from Mark Baker
Do you have a link? My sons a 2 handed bowler and I'm trying to learn as much as I can as a father who supports him in the game he loves and I'm now addicted to. 😂
@@waynepeters508search mark baker 2 hand, theres a 1hr vid and 10 min vid

Tang said he looked at other players scores I do but at the end off the day I don't care what they get I care about my scores but if they bowl great scores I say good game I bowl better when I don't care what others get
Great way to look at it and sportsmanship too, what they throw won’t change what you do!
I would say bowling is 95% mental and 5% physical. If you don't have your mental game perfected everything fails in bowling. It doesn't matter how good physically you are the mental is the key. I'd also add that the majority of the bowlers I see have no control, they are focused on one thing throwing it as fast as they can and that doesn't work well over time.
Completely agree. The mental game must be taken seriously or else you’ll always be battling yourself! Eventually if you bowl long enough you have no choice but to appreciate this 💯
@@TheCleanUpCrew300 Definitely my bowling career started back in 1999 haha.
Haha 92’ for me!
For amateurs, how do you get lower to the release? I noticed the pros get their ball within inches of the file line and work on a little bigger backswing.
is there any difference between stepping and sliding into your shot? I started stepping into my shot because of bad approaches and cant get out of it
Did Mark make any comments about Tonio left hand sliding up during his swing? Im fairly knew to two handed as well and was curious if this was a tactic for higher ball swing or if it would cause your wrist to uncurl to soon
I don't recall but I will ask Mark this week if I can remember and see what he says
Im like a sponge and ready to take it all in..
Daria Pajak is what that reminds me of with those fingers
I like to bowl my old way but scared to go backwards in my bowling
I just got back into bowling after being out for 12 years, i feel like i have to start all over. Im all over the place and cant stay accurate. I pull the ball, bicep hurts and all over the place. Very frustrating
This is Rich, I came back after 15 years off and it’s a very new game. But keep watching these videos and you’ll be back in it in no time man! You got this
@@TheCleanUpCrew300 I was filtering through the videos. After I stopped bowling in 2012 I was getting into armwrestling ever since. My biggest fear was muscling the ball and now it has happened, I've already injured my short head bicep and I'm having a hard time trying to keep a clean release. I'm pulling the ball, I can't get it out right and I'm just all over the place. I feel lost.
How much he charges? I need that next step..
Where can I find that "Baker Box" Poster on the back wall?
Markbakerbowling.com
can you do a video explaining the banners hanging on the wall
The baker box! We got you! And he also has his series at the end if you want to check it out through the QR code or his website
These are kind of Coaches we "dumb" bowlers NEED! 😂
What do you mean 70 is that speed as in walk faster swing softer im sorry I just don't know?
70 perfect lower body effort, only >30 lower body so that it’s more of a swing than a throw. Sliding into your shot and just letting your arm swing vs pulling the ball back and throwing it with your shoulders is what makes that possible
I would like very much to know how much a lesson costs.
www.markbakerbowling.com/virtual_lessons.html
Here is info on virtual lessons and prices. Also has his contact information if you want to arrange in person lessons
How does a fairly new beginner (180 avg) arrange for lessons from someone like this ?
Mark actually works with bowlers of all ages, skill sets, and averages. You can check him out on www.markbakerbowling.com to learn more about his in person lessons as well as his virtual coaching over the internet
Where is this located?
Orange California, and he does virtual lessons as well. Check him out on his website www.Markbakerbowling.com for all his contact info. We can't recommend Mark enough. He knows his stuff, and he knows how to understand you as a person in order to coach you best.
No left handed bowlers can we get some
Absolutely. We are working on that now for something we are doing later this month
