this is a scene from the anime Slam dunk (Episode 65), it shows how smart and experienced Maki is, in order to avoid the loss he allowed sendoh to score the basket. I hope you enjoy it.
It appears that Sendoh won the one-one battle with Maki but in actual fact, he totally lost the plot. Maki saw through Sendoh’s play of trying to draw him into a foul which would have given him a free throw and the win for Ryonan and decided not to take the risk. It was a wise decision as Kainan was able to regroup in overtime and defeat Ryonan leaving them in a do-or-die battle with Shohoku.
@@mikhailabdurrachman2443 Absolutely no. Shohoku is like the 96’ Bulls. Rukawa was obviously Jordan. Since Sakuragi was based on Rodman, it’s obvious that Maki was based on the legendary Magic Johnson. Sendoh resembles nothing of Kobe. His play style is more fluid like Bird’s. Kobe wasn’t around at the time the manga was released. He was still a rookie. Maki vs Sendoh reflects one of the greatest rivalries in NBA history, Magic John vs Larry Bird. There are players far greater than MJ and Kobe my man.
@helter maki is like Jordan They ARE so good at Scoring from close range but not so good at Scoring from long range. Sendo is like Kobe they CAN score from both close range and long range. ALSO maki and Jordan ARE more athletic than Kobe and Sendoh
He actually can still make contact to Maki body to create foul but i guess Sendoh never thought about it, he actually did it to Akagi before Mitsui passed out scene.
Sendoh wanted the and1 not just the foul. And he was on momentum for a sure layup / dunk, if he settled for a jumpshot he might miss cause of the time constraint. 3 pointer wasnt a thing back then, maybe sendoh could had settled for a pull up 3...
@@bravophotography2023 in the full scene mako, makes note that what he would've done in sendohs situation is make the shot and draw a foul to secure the win (they are both skillful enough for this), thought it was better to play the odds and take it to OT.
He was planning to foul Maki but he knew it haha.

wrgg
Such a classic throwback. I love to see these two together so much 👍🏻
Lebron not guarding KD on the last shot 😂
Voice sendoh "jiraiya" from "naruto" and "makoto souda" "captain tsubasa"
He was voiced by the legendary Hochu Otsuka, the same voice actor for Jiraiya of Naruto
Magic Johnson (Maki) vs Larry Bird (Sendoh) 🔥
Maki is Jordan while Sendoh is Kobe

no such thing as avoidx or disasx or wx or etc or not
He let him score???
Didn't want to draw a foul.
@@AF-yk3mv but he's very skillful. I think he may have gotten the ball without conceding a foul.

Instinctive reflex. He didn’t take any risk
Also Kainan has more stamina.
