A lonely girl is living in the sky, far from the world on the ground that frightens her. One day, an unexpected visit will turn her routine upside down and make her fall from her cloud.

Note that she didn't feel comfortable rejoining society using the standard method, so she did it on her terms, using a method she'd crafted herself that was uniquely hers.
Great observation. And she gives herself fully and takes the plunge without fear. To me, that image of her falling symbolizes letting go and fully participating and trusting in life without trying to control everything out of fear.
Cast is a knitting term. Cast could also mean to turn away. 🙂

Actually she merely remembered the dream, when she saw the broken rung, & knew that would be unsafe if she tried climbing down it, because the ladder is old & weathered. That is the only reason she used the scarf, the super long scarf that she had been clearly knitting on since she went to live in the clouds.

I’m not sure the intention of this video but I can see it being related to someone dealing with mental health and trying to shut themselves away from the world. I can relate to this video. I love it
I too am facing the same trouble that girl faces. When I was young I thought I was normal, but as I got older, I learned that I had either Autism or at least a learning disability. Which could explain why I did not pay attention in class much and why I'm unable to learn how to have and run my own home. I use to dream of being either an author or a 2D animator, but after learning the struggles and challenges of life, I began to think my disability would not let me accomplish either of them. And now I fear it maybe too late for me.
Sometimes I think to myself, if I can't reach for my dreams, then what's the point of my existence? What is my mission in life, and why was born with disability that holds me back? With sad and depressing things like these, it's no wonder why people would commit suicide to get away from it all. (Not that I would ever do that.) Why dose life always have to have so many struggles for us all?

I'm middle age now, and bedridden with chronic illness
It's never too late to start doing things you want to
Even in the mist of hopelessness, I never gave up trying
After 10 years stuck in bed , unable to even sit up.
...I manage to find a hobby I can do lying down .
So, grab life if you can, start doing things if you feel up to it
...never let age or illness , or disabilities get in your way
It's your life , not your ailments ....

The reason why I feel more comfortable in isolation is bc I didn’t had humans in my life where I truly feel safe and comfortable around them. It’s like I always need to be careful. Human relationships are something by which I experience most discomfort in my life and I think there are a lot of ppl out there who understand me and think the same
i agree with you. I share the same opinion, but expressing my thoughts clearly has been challenging due to the potential backlash of hate. In these trying times, they strip away everything positive, leaving us crumbling and unable to even smile or find happiness, all while mocking us.
When I attempt to convey my feelings, they often respond with the same dismissive behavior. It's truly disheartening to witness the changing nature of humanity. I've found solace in isolation because there is no genuine human connections, where I could feel safe and at ease, have been lacking. It's as if I've always needed to be cautious and guarded. fuck

As someone who likes spending time alone more than with people this hits home I love socializing with friends and family but I prefer spending time alone I enjoy it I guess I'm an introvert 😂 but change is good if it helps improve your life.

I like how she went back to civilization by herself. That’s how it should be for everyone. Sometimes, you can feel alone, and you need a break. You don’t need to feel pressured to be apart of something if it’s the wrong time. You fan be comfortable again, but that doesn’t mean it’ll happen right away ❤️
The music made the events more beautiful, the calm with the clouds & the idea of the movie made it unique. often we need a break from the world so we can live in it and come back to it in our own ways . It touched a part of me that was dozing off & made it wake up.
Moral of the story, "move on in life, a life of solitude is more cruel than you think, and that there's more to life than just doing one thing forever"

Чудесный фильм, волшебная анимация, увидела себя и пересмотрела еще раз 5. Для меня это про интровертов и высокочувствительных людей.
Общество сильно напрягает, раздражают шумы, громкий хохот, гул нескончаемых разговоров. Хочется скорее сбежвть в свой простой и уютный домик, где так хорошо, спокойно и свободно одной, валяться на облаках, читать, мечтать, печь душистое печенье. Вязать что-нибудь яркое и незамысловатое, вот хотя бы шарф. Конечно, не хочется заканчивать свои дни в полном одиночестве со спицами в руках, но ведь и общество далеко не гарантия, что будет по-другому.
В любом случае, шарфик - это возможность сбежать обратно, домой.

This is gorgous. The details from of every single strand of hair, to each fluff on the little animal❤ Everything is amazing and so well animated. Especially the falling scene with her hair and skirt flowing in the wind. When I tell you I was SHOCKED by 3:44 when I realized that that’s her, oml- the music fit really well too.

I saw no mentioned of the old lady she came across in her fall from safety. Could the old lady be a vision of her future self and this helped her decide to rejoin the human race?
This movie has read in my head. Each night, I dream I live in a house like this on clouds, with an animal as only company. Except that at the opposite of the end, I would never leave this place... the real world is too awful...
how beautifully portrays a message that your comfort zone, the fear off not facing challenges and like yah I am happy in my own world I don't want anyone, can destroy you totally, how universe gave her message to get out of your comfort zone. great work
i am an introvert and for some reason i resonated so much to this. i feel that fear too. that i will die alone in a cold dark place with noone beside me, because of my 'strangeness'. but at the same time i just cannot bring myself to make friends by enjoying the things others do, so i always find myself alone to myself. in a place others cant reach. but i would like more than anything for people to atleast try to reach to me. to find me in my safe place and be with me there, atleast for a while so that i dont feel so lonely anymore.
I think she saw herself in the old woman and what she would become if she continued on the path she was following since the woman reminded her so much of herself. She would knit until there was nothing left, no soul behind her eyes. I'm glad she made a friend as well. Even if it did stumble up on her hideaway.
The fly away hair strands and regular low key breathing really sell the realistic animation. Love it !

Por eso, es normal que aquellos que no tienen amigos se sientan enojados o sean críticos con ellos mismos, ya que ven este problema como un fracaso personal

This reminds me a LOT of Lindsey Stirling's "Take Flight" music video. The atmosphere, the house in the clouds, even the ladder, and especially the message. Given that Take Flight was released back in 2015, I wouldn't be surprised if it, in part, inspired this short film.

Introverted people don't get in touch with others easily and feel out of place. But what she did every day and her sudden awakening made her realize that she needed to change. The process was not easy and it was hard to adapt. But it takes firm confidence, she did it, and her life will be more colorful in the future.
My take: Sometimes we like our alone time. However, when our alone time is becoming a lifelong time, we need to be reminded of life and what good others bring to our lives.
Very beautiful! Incredible animation! But I can't stop thinking about how she took the cookies out of the oven without oven mitts or any sort of heat protection.

Some people go through a lot of stuff. Once you're done working on said stuff, you can bravely attempt to rejoin society, because isolation is not sustainable

I had a seizure a couple months ago, and during it I had a dream that I was a blond dude living in a house in the sky, and it had a porch/ I think I was supposed to jump off of the porch and fly, but as soon as I did the world started shaking and that's when I woke up. The vibe of this film at the beginning, and the colors reminded me of that.
What a beautiful film 😍! I love everything from the animation to the story. For people suffering from isolation or any kind of mental health issue, you are very strong and I hope you will find peace 😌

Easy to take this as "you introverts just need to get out more".
The most unrealistic part wasn't the body shape, the seemingly floating house, nor was it the leisure in the clouds..... it was the fact that she removed those damn cookies from the oven WITHOUT oven mitts. Ain't no waaayyyyy.
I had this exact same thought! Delivery and everything. I also think that she just has hands of steel too because no way someone just casually glides down a scarf like that without getting serious burns. Ouch!

Sometimes, we just have to find a way to get through the things that make us uncomfortable if we’re going to get through life one day. 😊 So to all those that are afraid of life or society, well don’t be. She's isolating herself and further she feels happy and satisfied for that..her feelings is that the world is an annoying terrifying place ..when she went to that old house she saw her future as a lonely old lady what makes her re-assess the situation and maybe all this storm was a reflexion of the conflict in her head and how confused she was ..finally she took the decision to give herself another chance to explore the world and she started in an inspiring way by doing this her way instead of using the available non her method ( the ladder )
As someone who suffers from agoraphobia this has me in tears.
Isolate when it's needed, there's nothing bad in it. But then move out too otherwise the isolation can also make you sick someday..

This is me. I am a recluse and only leave home reluctantly to grocery shop once every two weeks and when I have to see my doctor or my dogs need to see a vet. My 2006 car only has 55k miles on it. I am comfortable being this way but do feel alone and wish I could travel. Mental illness is real.

They paid so much attention, if you think about it her house has roof tiles missing but since she don't go to the city to buy more and fix it, she just keeps avoinding it by improvising, using umbrellas, plates, all to not go out. I suffer like this too, I can only go out with my mother. If she's not there, then I don't go. I don't even put out the trash, sometimes I stay most of the day in my room
I don't care about people trying to deep analyse the video. I liked it just for the pure content, and the cute not-a-dag-but-still-cute. Not everything needs to have a meaning, or a reason. Have you ever been in love? Explain THAT.....................

This is a good example for me of most videos shorts I watch. I have absolutely no idea what has happened or what it's about. To me it would appear that the ending has been omitted. Aside from that a very pleasant video.

It's a beautiful story. It is very difficult for me to change habits or customs.. I have fixed ideas. But, it's true that when I have had to take the step to change, sometimes, I have freed myself from a lot of pressure. In my head, it looked worse than It really was. This doesn't need to be about mental health. Everyone suffers from a bit of anxiety and overcoming it can be challenging. I like how she saw where she might end up if she never left the house.

Hmmm... I think I will stick with "knitting my scarves" and the occasional cute furry friend. The "real world" is loud, ugly and cruel. I suppose if you are young, it's worthwhile to go out there and see if you can find something exceptional and wonderful, but I am past that now.
I've had my time in the sun. I've had more adventures than most people dream of, and plenty of good friends. I consider myself fortunate.
The question remains whether it is better to live together with people, like society, or rather alone, without the constant raging of a society that has long since lost its path in favor of greed and money?!
Idk how I got here but I have agoraphobia (for like the past 5 years) - this hit different. I also have to rejoin society (mostly cause my husband is annoyed with me never leaving -he doesn’t say it but I can tell-so I actually want to try to do stuff with him again).Plus it would be nice to go to one of my kids games without constantly overthinking. But let me tell you how walking out my front door - preparing to walk out my front door is exactly the feeling I get when she steps out her door. Guess I can’t live in the clouds forever - so they say-leap of faith I suppose is required ❤
