Really Impossible to assemble? - The Dirty Dozen Puzzle!!

- After I disassembled the dirty dozen in the last episode I was sure it would be a huge challenge to get it back together. Maybe, I was wrong. If you approach it with pure logic it might be solvable!?

I appreciate the design work even more after solving it! Amazing!👍
The solution from the inside out was well conceived. Knowing that the four outermost parts could only go one way would have expedited the internal solution. Every part added to the inside must also satisfy the outside four pieces. In other words, you could have solved it quicker. Still very well done Mr Puzzle!
Cant wait for the blue one. I think it's going to be more difficult cause it streches out further.
@@KING_OF_FARTS The pieces are also asymmetrical to each other which will require a wholly different approach to assembling it.
Mr Puzzle please show me some love and that you care about your Fan's by liking this comment!!!!
You should a video game called The Witness, it has amazing puzzles.
You are an awesome teacher of common sense and problem solving. I have so much more self confidence in everything I do because I am so much more analytical in my approach. Puzzles are obviously not just toys. Thank you for teaching us this lesson.
What a beautiful design both esthetically and from a puzzle design perspective
I live for that accent. "Ve vill zee at de end ov dat videyoo"
I work for a Company called Leitz tooling, it's German. Lots of people say that they have no sense of humor. While it may not be commonplace, a funny German is hilarious.
"Das Komputermaschine ist nicht für der gefingerpoken und zmittengraben! Zo relaxen und watschen der blinkenlichten."
Leatherman and what did you want to say there ? That’s not really German XD
One of the most beautiful one I have seen on this channel
What someone really likes and appreciates in a puzzle vary person to person - for me, I really appreciate when a puzzle shows everything right at the start. When there are no hidden elements, no surprises, nothing you couldn't figure out before you even touch the puzzle, if you want to, and have the brainpower. It's like chess: you can see everything there is to the game, nothing is hidden, nothing you can't theoretically figure out - so, it's only your brainpower that separates you from - or gets you to - victory.
This is such a puzzle.
When I'm not solving this as a puzzle, this is also incredibly satisfying as a fidget toy.
I love this puzzle. It looks like a 2-dimensional lock, having to make threads match on both sides. Very clever design.
Yay how to put them back together. Thanks Mr. Puzzle.
Very good job Mr. Puzzle. I think lattice puzzles may be your specialty.
Mr Puzzle downgrades difficultly levels after he has a puzzle for a week.
Only the first time solve counts. 😁
Mr.Puzzle -show off!! :P
❤️
It's because the puzzle is Goldilocks, or not too easy, not too hard.
For how long has he had the Giraffe puzzle? I don't think he ever downgraded the difficulty level.
U.V. S. Truthfully I don’t think he fully understands the giraffe puzzle yet. But our fearless leader Mr.Puzzle someday shall grasp the complexities of the giraffe!
This is a very useful video. You explained the solution method very well in this video. Normally, I forgot your solution of a puzzle after three months. I don't think I will forget the solution of this puzzle in the future.
Congratulations! Very perceptive. Now how about that TITAN puzzle? You do know that people (including myself) aren't going to let you forget about that one. ☺
I'm sure about that! 😂
Still in progress. 🤔
Don’t worry. We haven’t forgotten. He’s probably working on it daily.
Can't wait to see that Titan puzzle opened. Mr. Puzzle you da man
Its mr puzzle lol he still thinks about that at least once a day for sure.
Hes so smart he probably legit doesnt touch it off camera just rolls it around in his mind until he gets an idea then hell film trying lmao.
Mr puzzle is legit he ain't no cheat ;)
Chuck Cecil I got mine yesterday
Regarding the 3/5 I think it was only "easy" because you were clever enough to see the way to solve it. But seeing the way to solve it requires a 5/5 brain in the first place.
Yeahhh when he said 3/5 thats exactly what I thought. If someone handed me this thing taken apart I would be at it for hours.
Personally I’d say it’s around a 4/5. Once you notice the pieces are identical the available options narrow significantly so I’d think most people could do it in 2-3 hours.
@@caster269 no. most people probably couldnt do it..
he did say 3/5 in his own difficulty setting
Yea his 3/5 is a 20/10 for me
This is the kind of amazing, wonderful content I subscribed for. Your voice plus the oh-so-satisfying sounds of the pieces sliding together is an excellent way to start my day.
Also, for some odd reason, this puzzle in particular makes me think of that Vulcan Kal-Toh game from Star Trek Voyager, and your logical approach makes me wonder if you're not part Vulcan yourself lol.
🖖
really nice puzzle solving. Was fun to watch you think it through. Amazing
Wonderfully executed
Well Done Mr Puzzle!
Hi Mr.Puzzle! I backed them on Kickstarter and avoided watching this video until I tried it for myself. I received the puzzles today and I thought I'd share something I found for an easier disassembly. Pieces 1 and 6 are oriented the same. So are 2 and 4. If you were to grab piece 1 and pull it up so that the other pieces hang from it, you'd notice that the hanging pieces form the shape needed to remove piece 6. Once you remove piece 6, you can keep those pieces in the same position to remove piece 1. Use the same approach for pieces 2 and 4; the others should be easy to remove from there. This is the first time commenting on one of your videos, I believe. Thank you for creating puzzle videos. I enjoy them.
I was wondering today whether you ever figured it out. Bravo!
mr puzzle, I have to tell you that I have been followinf you for years and your videos are getting more and more interesting and funny. Thankyou for being so clever and smart! I started being interested to puzzles thank to you!
Thank a lot!
Excellent additions to the format!!! Thank you for sharing and all of your hard work, dear Sir. PEACE.
Ohhhhh myyyyy goddddd that was the most amazing PUZZLE I've ever seen!!!! Awesome thanks for all your hard work and I will be waiting for your next VIDEO!!
I'm thinking exactly the same right now.
Nicely done Mr. Puzzle! And I am glad that you followed the advice that I gave you in the video where you disassembled it! :) :)
Wenn ich mir das noch 3 bis 4 mal anschaue, würde ich es warscheinlich auch hin bekommen. Man muss sich nur genau die Teile beim zusammensetzten anschauen. Sehr gut gemacht. 👏😊
Danke! 😁
I have never bought a puzzle before BUT this one is so beautiful! The geometry reminds me of 1970's interior design and orange is the perfect colour. I received my puzzle today from Canada and it is wonderful! It is interesting to solve and it is an attractive sculpture too. :)
Fantastic! Good job Mr Puzzle!
Loved the blue one. Looks amazing
Such good looking quality metal puzzle! 👍
Great job! I really appreciate how you walked us through your logic and thought process. Thank you.
Actually he usually does lol we all appreciate this :)
The design is very clever, because it must have been difficult to make a puzzle that ends being so symetrical and yet not that difficult. your demonstration is very good, very clear.
I love the methodical way this puzzle goes together. Can’t wait till I get mine
It looks really fun to do.
Very satisfying to watch. Thank you!
Wow!!! Thank You Mr Puzzle.
Gotta love Mr. Puzzle's analytical method of solving puzzles.
Beautiful, elegant puzzle!
WOW! Very cool. Good job.
Amazing puzzle design. Looks great too
That was delightful
Watching you complete these puzzles was fun to watch! Congratulations on you completing the puzzles. I wouldn’t have had a clue on how to complete them.
I love this puzzle. :) I saw at the end of the last video that all the pieces were the same shape.... Which made it seem like it'd not be to bad, so 3/5 seems right for what I thought. As for the blue one, where the pieces have different shapes... I'm expecting that to be a significant leap in difficulty! Can't wait for that video. :)
It's kinda weird that the pieces look like 225 or 552 depending on the orientation
CM BP 552 adds to 12 like the dirty dozen PLUS there are 12 pieces. Pretty cool if you ask me. Obviously 225 adds to 9 but shhhhh
@@TGears314 2 + (2 x 5) perhaps?
I commented something similar on the previous video with these puzzles.
Looks like when you look at it as a vertical 252, it could be a Porsche font from the 1970's
Great job ! 👍🎉
Just did this today. My challange was that i had to change the way i inserted the last 4 pieces. Thought i did it wrong over and over. Then i tryed to see the awnser here. Noticed the way u put the pieces in. That helped me get the last 4 in. Great video.
I love this puzzle. Such a nice design.
I think what makes this puzzle much easier than it seems to be is the fact that once you made the right approach with the first four pieces, there's really just one way to go from there
Great video, and keep ooon puzzling :]
I love that the pieces are all the same shapes.
I love that puzzle. I would love to have one. Nicely engineered design, very cool!
What a beautiful puzzle. It reminds me of pin tumbler locks.
Satisfying to see this assembled
my jaw just dropped watching you put back together, that's truly incredible!
Nice job putting it together! The blue one probably follows the same logic, but the pieces are all different
Excellent work 👏👏👏
Respect+ for your patience
This was so cool and satisfying to watch lol
Well played
What I'm most amazed at is how all the pieces are identical, yet they interlock to produce such a fascinating end result.
good work mr puzzle
Even after having watched you solve this, I think I will purchase this puzzle because it is a good price and looks so satisfying to work with!
Got this as a Christmas gift and I can say that I'm in love with it. Having a bit of reassembly trouble because of ricketiness but it's fun nonetheless
They'd make good decoration.
I get what he did there but it looked so intimidating that this reassemble feels brilliant. And was super satisfying to watch.
If the pieces werent the same. I dont think I would have ever solved it. Great puzzle.
Wow thats really impressive
damn even the reassembling stage looks satisfying
Just received one of these for Father’s Day 👍
yes this what I've been wondering about
since the dawn of time
Hope you can do the blue one as well!
...impressed...!!
Your recording and editing skills are getting really good mate
Perfect!
It's soo satisfying
Very nice video, thank you ! Where can i get these puzzle ? They are so cool !
You're not just any puzzler. You are a puzzler with the logic of an engineer..... Many others would have a much more difficult time with this puzzle.
The fact that all the pieces are identical makes the solution much easier - looks impossible until you figure that out!
Brilliant
Mr. Puzzle, -- 'thanks a lot' - you wrecked what was supposed to be an impossible puzzle. (well done).
nice job!
Around the 8:10 mark it looks kinda like a key going into a tumbler lock. I like it.
Dad, you are so very clever, wish i was like you.
They call me MIStah Puzzle!
8:50 Me: I love it when a puzzle comes together.
SO satisfying.. I need one of these on my desk! XD
You're Perfect as always! Greetings from Poland...
Now to wait for Chris Ramsey to do his copies of these puzzels
Those are so complex imagining like key-blades fitting on the right Latch.
I hope you do a video showing how to put back the blue Lattice puzzle.
Can't wait for the blue one with different pieces lol
All of the pieces don’t follow the over under pattern. 🤔 it’s together but is it correct? Good job anyway!!
This solving sequence reminds me of the way a chess player has to think. You base your current move on your perception of the board 3, 4, or 5 moves (or more, if you're of grandmaster calibre!) in the future.
My tiny brain isn't wired up to work that way, but I can see how it would help with a puzzle like this, even though the puzzle has nowhere near as many variables as a chess board... ;-)
But at what level does these pieces scratch?
They appear to be anodized aluminum (aluminium). Meaning it is not a surface coating and will not scratch easily.
That's correct.
Scratches at level 6 with deeper groves at level 7 😁
Very satisfying when it s finished >_
You always a-MAZE me Mr. Puzzle, lol.
Finally got this puzzle on Monday and solved it within 2 hours. The blue puzzle that came with the dirty dozen set though is TOUGH.
Would like to buy these, when will they be available again you think?
I like this puzzle because it seems much more complicated than it turns out to be. If you approach is systematically like Mr. Puzzle did you can solve it. The harder version of this would be too hard for me.
Looks easy with the finished puzzle as reference
Edit: now I see the difficult part. The order the pieces need to be assembled
It's like Rubik's Magic Rings. Looks a lot more intimidating than it actually is :)
Cool, in the first video I missed that all the parts are identical, by knowing this I would have used the same approach like you did. What about the Lattice are here all the parts identical too?
I think it has 3 or 4 individual parts.
This one looks like a funny one! Not too easy but not impossibile either..it just needs time and some thinking
sepertinya simpel tapi yo kudu miker juga.. good..
