Great show. Loved every minute of season one from the characters to the story itself and the different ideologies.
Kinda sad we didnt get onslaught but that doesn’t mean it wont still happen. It just wont happen exactly the same way as it did in the comics.

The dope part was when Cable mentions a "couple of rebels" that talked about the x-men, he didnt realize he was talking about his parents. They got the chance to raise him a little bit but didn't reveal themselves.

Cyclops, this whole season, had such good dialogue. Loved when he tells Logan "Don't you dare break her heart. Be the best at what you do....heal"...he knows how much he cares for her, and is the bigger man in that moment knowing it's what he needs to hear.
Also the alias easter eggs in Magneto's file: Ian M & Michael F
That line comes off so small/passive, but godDAMN does it carry some weight. What a good man.

Exactly 💯. Rogue was beating his butt. Kinda reminds me of when Vegeta was beating up Goku black (Rosè) and giving him the business and speech. Definitely one of my favorite moments of this episode Frfr 💯💯

i would say its on par with IW, and Endgame, but… sadly to know that this show hasnt got much attention from casual movie goers who were so hyped to watch Avengers movie. haish

I think there was a story arc at some point when Scott & Jean went to the future and actually raised Nathan for a little while, so I could see that happening next season.

You guys are always the ones I’m waitin’ for whenever a new episode of X-Men drops. One of the few channels where the reactions are obviously totally genuine, y’all always make for a good watch, can’t wait for season 2.
Magneto's 3rd child was Polaris
This show has been like going to a house party you know is going to be good but it turns out to be the best house party you ever attended. 97 was the Marvel we all knew we needed. We know they have it in them. It was all about the details. High quality execution start to finish.
I walked into this show expecting it to be a lazy nostalgia bait cash grab....I am so happy I was wrong. Episode 5 legit brought tears to my eyes. I know they've been working on Season 2 for about a year at this point so I can only hope that Beau DeMayo wrote that too. If not, rehire him Disney!!! ASAP!!!

This is exactly how I felt. I came in with very low expectations, and this series was amazing!
Same. After The Matrix Resurrection movie I didn’t want anybody touching one of my favorite childhood shows and unnecessarily continuing it for a nostalgic cash grab… SO happy I was wrong! It was so unbelievably good, and I can’t wait to see what they have in store for season 2!

@@RegReg02 Fair question, but to be fair to them as well, , all of the characters in that shot were enveloped in darkness, and Lorna (Polaris) was almost in complete darkness and wearing dark green, so she was the least visible character on that boat.
I didn't see who she was until my second viewing of the episode.

@@RegReg02 I'm thinking that maybe part of this difference has to do with where our eyes are looking when we're seeing that scene for the first time.
For example, my eyes tend to drift more towards the left side of the screen, so the first person I saw in that scene was Pietro (Quicksilver), followed by Wanda (Scarlet Witch), then Rogue, and I was just starting to focus in on Lorna (Polaris) when that scene ended.
Maybe your eyes were more focused on the right side of the screen, and that's why you picked out Lorna first?
I have some friends who told me that the first time they saw this scene, the only one they picked out was Rogue, they barely noticed that there were any other characters around her, so I'm guessing their eyes were focused more in the middle of the screen.
Anyway, I figure as long as we eventually all get the whole picture, it's all good. 😃👍🏼

Something no one is discussing of all cameos is that Dust is on the final chart at the end with which X-Men are accounted for!! I really hope she joins up next season.
I'm hoping for Psylocke and Colossus to join.
But Dust were teased already in the Season opening after Cyclops blew up the HQ of the Friends of Humanity, a Daily Bugle newspaper flew by. There we saw a picture from Dust as well.
They should bring in the New X-Men in this case if Dust is active, would be nice to see Hellion, X-23 and Surge

Beast just summarized the next season with two words, 'Oh dear'.
In the comics, Wolverine, Gambit, Angel, and Sunfire have all been horsemen of Apocalypse.
They paved the way for Onslaught at least. No way that doesn't have consequences later.
We need to see Charles slowly becoming impatient, suspicious, angry and hateful through the next season. We need to see him slowly becoming Onslaught. By then, the Apocalypse storyline will be complete, and he will side with the X-Men against Onslaught for the rest of the season! Or Onslaught will be the entire season 3... It would be so awesome :D

As a long-time X-Men fan and fan of the original series, even though I wasn't born when the show was around, HOLY S*** , THIS SERIES IS EXCEPTIONAL (pun intended). No joke, this series is so masterfully well written, with phenomenal animation and truly compelling characters and deep dark themes that put the Fox X-Men movies to shame. Truthfully this series is some of the *BEST MARVEL MEDIA WEVE SEEN EVER SINCE ENDGAME* (except No Way Home, GOTG3 and Loki)!
Compared to how phenomenal this series is, the Fox movies seemed like amateur student films with such a bare-bones understanding of how truly incredible and insane the X-Men stories can be when you truly hire people who care about these amazing characters.
After watching this show and this epic finale, Bastion became one of my favourite X-Men/Marvel villains. Theo James especially gave a really superb performance as Bastion; now, whenever I read a comic featuring Bastion, I'll hear his voice. Bro, the number of cameos in this series is INSANE! Cyclops and Jean saying goodbye to Cable/Nathan had me in tears🥺.
YO, APOCALYSE IS COMING BACK IN SEASON 2 AND DEFINITELY BRING GAMIT BACK AS HIS HORESMAN OF DEATH, JUST IN THE COMICS! I can imagine how heartbroken Rogue will be when she is forced to fight the man she loves😭

X-Men 97 is legit my favorite show of 2024!
As you said, each episode got better and better, especially when episode 5 hits where everything takes a change.
Not only the storylines and characters were amazing, but I liked how this show naturally showed cameos for all the heroes & villains (i.e. Omega Red, Captain America, Black Panther, MJ & Peter) during certain scenes.
I REALLY can't wait for Season 2, this season was legit perfect.

Yes it's true. Kang wants to capture apocalypse and recruit him before he becomes what he becomes, so he can have him rule the earth as his vassel/ally. In the comics the fantastic four go to the past to stop kang. And when kang leaves that time, apocalypse uses kangs tech to augment himself to what we know him as today.

What a phenomenal season of Marvel Television! This season, finale was absolutely incredible, and it really had it all! Great writing, jaw-dropping animation, masterful music, amazing voice acting performances, brilliant pacing, respect for the original source material/90s animated series, and lots of fun/really cool Cameos and Easter Eggs for the fans to enjoy! I'm so excited/hyped for Season 2 and will be counting down the days! This finale and the whole season get a 100/10 from me!

Great reaction guys! When I saw Episode 10 had a run time of 43 minutes I said "Ohhh shit's going to go off the chain today.". The cameos, the stuff with the Summers, everyrhing was 10 out of 10. Can't wait for season 2.

Why everyone is shook to see THE AVENGERS in this series montage is beyond me because it has been established that THE AVENGERS and FANTASTIC FOUR all share a Universe in the animated reality but to add in Cloak And Dagger, Dare Devil and Black Panther was brilliant.
It was also fitting that while all this was going on, The Avengers sat around doing nothing. Because in the 90's, you couldn't pay people to read Avenger's books. If you told me back then Iron Man was going to get a movie, I would've asked what drugs you were on.
The moments wìth Phoenix and Rogue beating up Bastion were my favorite moments in the last episode. The entire show is overall really good through and through. Gave certain characters (Rogue,Cyclops) more shine than in the movies.👍🏻👍🏻

My tear moment was listening again "I. AM. PHOENIX!" and a new one: "MAGNETO LIVES!". Those were so insane!
this season and the dark phoenix saga from the og animation are the BEST depictions of xmen in tv/film ever.

Cable stores Professor, his time cube in his techno-organic arm. Bastion unknowingly absorbed it when he ripped off Cable's arm. After he got caught in the explosion on Asteroid M, that caused the time rift, scattering The X-Men through time.
Oh yeah the fourth person on the boat was the better mutant teleport Polaris which is Magneto's third child

Awesome highlights:
1.> When Morph mocked Sinister by showing him his 'face', that must have been therapeutic for Morph. I have a feeling that was his version of payback for abducting him from the second episode of XMEN TAS. Sinister has always haunted Morph- and Morph finally got his dues
2.> Gambit becoming Death (via Apocalypse showing the playing card), also confirms the vision Prof. X had when he had the Shi'ar nobility in the classroom. Xavier saw Gambit as a giant skeleton looking over other skeletons there.
3.> Morph has got to be the biggest easter egg in this show. When he hopped out the Sentinel with Beast, Forge and Storm, he did so as Sauron.
4.> When Cyclops is fighting Shaw, he ricochets a beam off the wall and dislocates his jaw
This season was truly a happy surprise.
The writers got the X-Men and their world correct.

It seems that we will have for the second season, a combination of great X-Men stories. One part being days of the future past lost in other parts of reality. And upon returning, they would enter the age of the apocalypse. 🔥🔥😨😨

Great finale of an amazing season,my favourite moment was the goodbye with Scott,Jean and Nathan and those cameos were crazy :) Lets hope next season comes soon!

why people keep saying cameos this is X-Men 97 its a continuation of the original X-Men 90s show and during this time there were all in the same universe even back then if you watch the old seasons you see these characters in

Quick correct: Wolvie didn't GET bone claws, he's always HAD bone claws ever since his mutation kicked in when he was a kid, but his bone claws were covered in Adamantium, like all of his bones.
Xmen 97 is the best show on TV. I watch the original as a teen and the way the picked up and carried on the show, has been everything I could have dreamed of.
Theory: Apocalypse will grab Gambit as Death and ALSO Madelyne Prior as Pestilence since he is at the Genosha massacre.
the four horseman from that group are Gazer as War, Sunfire as Famine, Polaris as Pestilence and Gambit as Death (the team with Banshee is much later and doesn't have Gambit on it... Sentry, Banshee, Grim Reaper, and Daken)
