Heads up theres a bug when picking up the rebreather and it disables your backpack. I recommend saving before picking it up and pick it up with your hands empty. Lost a couple of hours for backing up a save.
I can use my backpack but can’t take the re breather off?

When you are half way through the cave the enemies will spot you even if you are cautious. If you sprint through you will make it without any damage (hopefully) and will make it to the room. You won't get lost its a 2 way cave (in or out) and there are no other caves leading off.
Well there is split somewhere in the middle when I got to it ,the path on the left leads to the rebreather I was clearing to check everything ,but it pretty much decide to bolt it since enemies respawn really quickly and by the time I came back to the split I saw the enemies that I had killed respawned felt like a waste of time clearing it

@@SadTown99 i am so glad I read this. I was gonna go loud with grenades. I don't like this respawning thing. Makes me feel like they frown on solos.
I’m on normal and there is at least 12 cannibals/mutants in that first area. There’s 3 fingers. Kind of overkill if you ask me.

Yea I didn’t think normal would be so intense, I usually play games on hard mode right away but here I just get swarmed every 15min by something new 😮
@@SadTown99 yep. Mutants stay at my base more than I do lol. Can barely save my game without a mutant barging through my front door lol.
They have a looot less health on Normal compared to Hard.

What does the "Rebreather" do for you once you are out of the cave? Is there a place to use it again? Great video btw. I didn't even know the "Rebreather" was a thing.
Yes you need the rebreather for the shovel, and the shovel is extremely important

@@Assassin5671000 It is in the cave with the 3 dead mercenaries , you will find the shovel in the cave. REMEMBER YOU NEED THE REBREATHER!!!!
What if u bring a bow and shower him with arrows? Possibly it'll be easier!

Why is nobody talking about all the enemies in here? Can't even get through. They just chase and murder me.
Just light a flare and sprint through. You can make it. By the time you reach the end of the cave where the rebreather is, nothing will be chasing you. When you leave, just use the underwater entrance. If you're quick, the shark won't chase you.
@nym7973 I ended up doing it. Cuz I was trying to get the stun gun too. Had to use some molotovs but it worked out. Now for the grapple gun
How do you take rebreather off
Is it normal to still have enemies inside the caves, even on peaceful? 'cause I got jumpscared the crap outta me in zipline cave by an bigger mutant. Around 50% of the cave in a shallow pass. (I don't play on peaceful for no reason).

ITs a bug. if you stil cant access your backpack youll need to restart from before you picked it up. pick it up with both hands free.
