Firstly, as an Upstater of nearly 26 of my nearly 32 years on this rock, it's good seeing Upstate having a voice for once. That said I feel it need pointing out, New York state capitol is about 5 hours north of NYC in Upstate Albany NY. And for a historical fun fact, before Albany was the state capitol Kingston NY became the first NY State Capitol in 1777. But you're correct that they are making laws that only cater to NYC(which NYC is New Your City, "The Big Apple", or slightly more clear Long Island) Our state Makes everything about it more complicated than it needs. NY's Sanctuary State/City stance has NYC flooded with %not gonna say it, you can find out about NYC's crisis and their complaints with the lawmakers in Albany, here on CZcams.
Now the Cynic Philosopher in me.. It's ultimately far more complicated to get anything meaningful done about anything in this state because of it's insane level and number of rules, laws, regulation and paperwork Oh My God they love their paperwork.. Unless it benefits Albany, good luck getting anything meaningful done.
