Don't believe the hype in the media. It's only a few colleges that are actually participating in the protest percentage wise.
The media's coverage would convince you that it's happening everywhere. But most of these college students would agree with Tiffany Haddish's perspective.
I know because I'm one of those students who agree, and so do the majority of those who attend my university.
The problem in my opinion is Black folks can not have differing opinions from the mainstream especially when it comes to sociopolitical issues. We always say we are not a monolith but when someone steps out and says something contrary from the masses we are quick to cancel or to try to chastise them. I always root for our people but I also know that we are first human and there has never been a time in history where 100% of people agreed on 100% of the issues. We are not ants and having a difference of opinion is both healthy and necessary in order for things to change. I wish both these sisters the best moving forward.
We have to recognize that activist on the left and right are NEVER good by the end of it all. Not never, but 8 out of 10 times they cause more mess than not. Plus modern activist who like to invoke civil rights activist are not comparable to those people at all. In any way. Theyre (activist) generally extremist with mental and emotional issues who will do more harm than good, and we know that because all you have to do is look at history. Anyone who takes even a slightly more moderate position is always lampooned as the enemy, and all the activist/extremist either all move on and or die in war.
I expect Amanda Seales to jump out the window because shes a mess, but the fact that so many people are burning relationships over this area of the world still fighting over if jews should be allowed to exist after thousands of years of jewish genocides, and our modern history that we can google and read of even the last 100 years of that area is astonishing. But this is what people do now. From Joe Rogan, to Amanda Seales. 200 million dollar spotify contract to 6 figure permanently angry political commentators, there is one thing they have in common, and that is pretending they're actually read and know anything, and MORE IMPORTANTLY, getting you riled up and angry all the time.
Just a general rule of thumb for anyone who might randomly read this. Never take anyones strongly worded or not so strongly worded opinion over anyone else unless they at least have a solid record defending those points against the opposition. ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO POLITICS, FINANCES, ECONOMICS, and I could name a few more. Theyre functioning as nothing more than propaganda machines. You wouldn't be the #1 highschool basketball player in the USA, and not concern yourself of a coaches record in competition of a school youre considering would you? OF COURSE YOU WOULD CONCERN YOURSELF. You wouldnt take advice on how to be a successful band from someone from a failed band group would you.

I think Tiffany said something that conflicts with the beliefs of people who are passionate about humanity. Amanda took a moment to gently state she disagreed and provided where you can find more ppl who disagree and find the issues Tiffany expressed as unimportant, important.
