The market is over saturated due to social media and easy access to these people. Plus, a new “comedian” is popping up everyday now.
I agree, I think most of it is because everyone is so sensitive towards subjects nowadays. It has to be hard for comedians to be themselves in these times.
I think part of it is the audience. People don't want to laugh at jokes anymore. They want to have their social views validated instead. Look at Katt. People want him to continue exposing Hollywood, etc. But the reality is that's not funny.

As a long time fan of black comedy, I think it’s time for all of the black comedians to stop the beefing and start honing their craft. Seriously. As most people are saying, the specials are just not funny. From Katt to Monique to Mike Epps to Tiffany Haddish and others. There is a lot of criticism about Kevin Hart not being that funny but he’s focused, got a great team, good infrastructure and work ethic that is pushing him way past his contemporaries. Kevin will be greater than his peers in the end because he is focused on being great and being positive. A successful Life is about positive energy strategy and discipline. Katt and others need to concentrate on their craft and finish their careers strong and successful before all their great accomplishments are forgotten by focusing on too much nonsense. Be great!
Always remember, and never forget: Everything marked "Special" isn't necessarily special.

So now that you know the basis for the comment and we’re now two weeks removed from the live event instead of four days when I commented and then watched it. I’ll bring it up again still none of special’s material in a trailer…smart marketing by Netflix!

The truth of the matter is that Katt & Netflix rushed this special due to Katts viral interview with Club Shay Shay in the forefront it was all a money grab - cause usually Katt take two or three years to prep for a new special but he just went in the wind with this one - he had already had his "World War III" special literally last year

I did too. Doing a standup set and a sit down interview are two totally different animals and I think most people were expecting that and I wasn’t. I liked the way Katt tackled news events from a comical and thought provoking angle.

I went to see him in Indianapolis and he performed the exact same act. It was trash. And it also was cut short due to a fight that broke out in the audience. He immediately cut the show short , said thanks for coming out n walked off, 20 min into his act. Imagine paying full price tickets for that.
