as you can see here and as he has told himself, Trent was in his worst phase while touring with bowie in terms of his addiction, drugs and alcohol. He looked up to Bowie as his mentor and he helped him a lot through this time of rage and addiction. I love Bowie so much no words could express it.

That's just not true. Bowie never even released more than two albums in one year. In 1971, he released The Man Who Sold the World, which came out in April (though it had already been released in the US in November 1970) and Hunky Dory, which came out in December. And after that, it was another six months before his next album came out. He never released multiple albums in one week, that is ridiculous.

What makes this so special is that Bowie is there. When he passed I felt like I'd lost a friend. I grew up with his music and because it was so eclectic he opened me to so many genres; just look at "Life on Mars" it was 20 years ahead of its time. I was that weird guy in a working class town in Australia that used to cop a lot of shit due to my musical tastes which were based in talent, not what was popular: Bauhous, Sisters of Mercy, Dead Can dance (did anyone know Dead Can Dance were Australian?). In 1990 I heard a song called "Head Like a Hole" on an dependent radio station here in Australia and I was sucker punched, here was a band that could possibly equal Ministry in something I loved. When Bowie and Reznor started to collaborate I nearly peed myself with joy. RIP David, you are missed.

Sisters of Mercy l have found in 1987.

This concert was during a time when music was happening right in front of us!! All these new bands and new music with musicians who were our age - it felt like our friends were becoming big like Bowie was gonna tour with our friend Trent. I waited in line with my friends outside Tower Records in Atlanta, GA. To get lawn seats for $25.00 for the show at The Lakewood Amphitheater. We played the shit out of those disc's the months leading up to the show on a discman (that had x-bass) in my car with a cassette tape adapter and it sounded amazing! We got as high as fuck with a bunch of people we met on the lawn - that was when getting high meant you could laugh at everything with anyone, get muddy and sweaty, yell out all the lyrics to the songs, walk a mile back to the car with a crowd of unknowns, hit up the Waffle House and still be able to drive home on hwy 85 without crossing a line. Nobody cared what they looked like, where anyone else was, or what anyone else was doing - I left there with a concert shirt (that I wore the shit out of), 2 NIN stickers and a ticket stub - yup, not one single picture and nobody cared. It wasn't something that we needed to show anyone, it something we wanted to be a part of - to be a part of what was happening - and I was!

Bowie isn't drugs; he's free from the Hell of alcohol and drugs and it's not cool or right to throw one's life away when there is a healthier path and solution to being addicted . If you need help ,ask for it.countless lives out there have and Life isn't a dead end for them. Scooter Matson Trent was a Sax Major in his high school marching band in Pennsylvania in the early 1980's, so his knowledge of the instrument is pretty deep.....ironically enough, Bowie also had a deep knowledge of the Saxophone before hitting it big.
I was lucky enough to have seen this tour in Detroit at the Palace....it was amazing watching NIN's set, the combined set and then Bowie's set. some of the youngsters in the crowd left during Bowie's set which was a real shame.
I didn't bother getting there early enough to see Prick.....this concert made up the fact that I didn't see NIN the year before and the fact I had never saw Bowie live.

I have been a loving fan of David Bowie from the first time I heard the Ziggy album, I found someone who understood me. I had the great pleasure to see him in concert five times the first was at the US festival the last time I saw him live with on the Glass Spider tour in between I got to see NIN in concert twice and one magic night I got to see this tour with both of them on the same stage at the same time. Not one show was a disappointment! Sadly I will never again have the joy of seeing David live but all the times I did get to see him perform will live with me forever. There will never be another like him. I hope to see NIN again in the years to come and have the pleasure of their performance. Two truly outstanding artists who each made music of outstanding meaning to millions of people. Peace and be kind to each other. cheers

I saw them on this tour when they played at South Park Meadows near Austin, Texas in the fall of 1995.
I have literally seen close to a thousand live shows in my life time but you can't imagine what a memory this transcendent show is to me.
Historical Footnote: a year earlier, Nirvana had covered "The Man Who Sold the World" on MTV Unplugged and completely reinvigorated interest in the song. Then Cobain killed himself. Bowie, who hadn't performed this song live in years, reconstituted it for this tour and, damn, it was amazing to experience it live.
Additional highlights from this tour not included here:
NIN playing Burn (from the Natural Born Killers soundtrack)
David Bowie playing both "I'm Deranged" and "Look Back in Anger" (from his 1979 album LODGER...both of these songs are thematically connected) as well as the sublime "Strangers When We Meet" (in my opinion, Bowie's last perfect pop masterpiece).
Seriously, it was the greatest show of my life.

Not sure where this concert took place. But I went to the one in Portland Oregon in 95. It was phenomenal. I live in the middle of Washington state so it was a long drive to get there and absolute agony driving back afterwards. The drive there you are super pumped and full of adrenaline. Idk how the fuck I managed to drive back afterwards straight away. All that adrenaline from the anticipation and 10 fold that during the performances and I was beyond tapped out and so ready to crash because I had nothing left. I don’t remember the drive back tbh. I will NEVER do that again! Insanity that I did all of that in under a 24 hour period.

*dies* Seriously... I got a last second 14th row ticket invite to this show because my teammates' girlfriend hated NIN. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? Um, yeah - It spelled the beginning of the end of my seriously messed up relationship, but was a core-founding moment in my then-22-years-self. I never ever, ever ever ever, expected to find video of this that existed. I just always counted myself so lucky that I even found a bootleg of the tour ages ago. Please for the love of all that exists - remaster this tour and put it out in 4K UHD!!! (i'll take DVD even!). Thank you @ infinity for sharing this, you're an amazing human.
