“Puig your friend!”
Man he was must see TV when he first came up
Thanks for bringing up one of the most painful memories of my life as a Brewers fan iTalk. Really appreciate it
😅
..
as a brewers fan, how do you feel about trent grisham?
@@peterparker642 hes a fucking bum
@peter parker That was painful too, but this was game 7, one win away from the World Series, where we would've probably gotten smoked by the Red Sox, but at least we would've made it.
18-20: Batting great Pitching was meh
21-22 Batting bad Pitching Phenomenal
I went to game 7, and I gotta say I have never felt more defeated in my entire life, walking out of the stadium I stg u could hear a pin drop.
What the hell happened to Jeremy Jeffress? He was so good in 2020 and just never played again.
arm wear probably
Actually if I remember correctly, it was something weird regarding his agent? I don’t know, but that was the last thing I remember of him
MLB blackmailed him sad but true
@@jonathanrecinos5894 how
This is the volatile life of a reliever in the mlb. Great to gone in the blink of an eye.
Game 5 of this series also saw Counsell pull Wade Miley after 5 pitches in the 1st inning, leading to MLB creating the three batter minimum rule for pitchers.
That Puig celebration around the bases was actually in retaliation to Manny Piña doing that same celebration on a meaningless base hit in Game 3 or 4 I forget which one. Piña might’ve been caught up in the moment but Dodger stadium immediately erupted with boos. That’s why you can see Puig and Machado also mocking the Brewers trademark “Show me the love” celebration as Puig rounds the bases. Really just goes to show the pettiness and cockiness of those two back then.
I miss JT and Belli. They were postseason BEASTS and beloved by this fanbase.
Puig really smoked that ball way out in front on a line to the deepest part of the park
Bringing up the painful memories of Miami getting rid of all our talent 🥲
Refreshing to see a good dodger postseason moment. Usually it's more bad then good when it comes to post season moments with my dodgers
Christian Yelich breaking his knee cap changed him from one of the best in the game to just basic.
That's what this video really should've been about if you're talking about why the Crew hasn't matched the 2018 season the last few years.
even as a cubs fan, i wanted the brew crew to go all the way that year after they ousted the cubbies.
The 2018 Brewers were a fun team until the end, I even got to go to game 1 of the NLCS and it was awesome… I wish the current starting rotation as they are now could have paired with that 2018 lineup and bullpen (how they were then)…
The way the World Series turned out, I think the Brewers would've been better competition against Boston in that matchup. 20/20 hindsight.
keep up the work bro, your videos are great.
gl on ur road to 100k too, well deserved.
I miss Yasiel Puig. I’m an Astros fan btw.
Edit: Didn’t know I would start a war 😐
shush you guys cheated in 2017...
@@leo-V1 it counts they played real mlb players. Played an extra round for the first time in the playoffs to
@@hepatitiscyalater7269 No... Dodgers fan here and that isn't a win for us... We want a full season win. I agree with Vader on this one as much as I hate to admit it.
@@leo-V1 at least the ws win in 88 was legit...
@@bornfuct at least we didn't get eliminated every playoff lmao
It's 5 years later and I still feel that awful feeling of watching that ball go over the center field wall as I watched from deep in the right field terrace.
As a brewer fan that game was bitter sweet I know not a lot of fans even thought we would make it that far. So to even make it to game 7 against that strong of a dodgers team was super impressive. 2019 one and done was the most deflating. We were way better than that nats team but they were a team of destiny. I love what they are currently building in milwaukee and I would love to see them cash in on burnes and Adames at the deadline. Trade the two for a haul to LA like the nats did. Recoup on prospects and build around our guy chourio. Matt needs to spend a bit more and would love to see them extend woodruff
this hurts
Puig went from destroying the brewers to being in prison for 10 years
Fr?
To be fair Puig has been broken ever since also
I remember watching game 7 at a Mexican restraunt. The whole place went NUTS. I was so disappointed that the Brewers lost. Yasiel Puig has GOT to be one of the most COCKY players of them all. Same thing with Machado honestly.
In my opinion, it's not Puig who broke the Brewers, it was Jeffress! Coming down to the end of the season, he was CRACKED in the bullpen. I mean seriously, 1.92 era all star! But coming into the postseason, he lost his mojo.
Game 1 NLDS he allowed the ONLY two runs of the series, in the 9th inning as a save opportunity. Lucky for his offense, he didn't blow it. Game 2 NLCS he gave the HR to Turner that blew their 13 game win streak that could've been 14 if they had won game 2. And then what you described about game 7. After a 1.92 era in the regular season, it came to a 6.75 with 10 hits and 4 runs in the NLCS.
I was only in 7th grade and I remember it like it was yesterday! We should NOT have lost that series!
We won game 1, could've won game 2 if our pitching wasn't scrapy at the end. Game 3 W, game 4 eh maybe. 5 defiantly not. Game 6 for SURE!
I WANT TO SEE THE BREWERS IN THE WORLD SERIES BEFORE I DIE PLEASE GOD, 1982 WASN'T ENOUGH AND I WASN'T ALIVE THEN.
2011 Brewers I was in Kindergarten 😭
I feel ur pain bro.. one day
Bro, as a Sox fan you should do a video of how quietly good JD Drew was for the Sox. The man gets too much hate. He was rock solid
I guess anything can turn into a full storyline and video at this point. It wasnt like puig did anything else to contribute to ending the brewers year, he hit one insurance homer. I feel like any moment in baseball can be turned into a video now as long as you give it a ton of context and then over-explain how impactful it was
So close to 100k let’s gooooooooo
Bellinger and Yelich really feel off after Codys MVP season.
Great video
my dad let me ditch school to watch games 163, i think the dodgers had a game 163 too so that’s the real reason I stayed.
It's too bad Thames was lightning in a bottle. He had a great story. As a native Rockies fan I wish Chacin had a better time with the crew.
Bro is this the same guy that does Baseball Doesn’t Exist? I’ve been trying to figure this out forever
Everyone conveniently forgets that the brewers were the heavy nl favoring going into the post season. The dodgers also took an extra game to devise their division so it wasn’t your typical dodger blow out season .. I wasn’t even mad when they got to the WS and lost cause I wasn’t even expecting it
I like the part where Ryan Braun's lady-friend was accusing someone else of being a dirty player.
Day 9: italk is the goat.
Baseball reference agrees.
They calc Puig's shot as the top play of the series with cWPA of 11.88%
Cody's HR got a 8.64%
“In 2019 Juan Soto happened” that’s really all you need to know about that season dude is a beast
In 2019: Puig went to the Reds, got suspended for a brawl vs. Pittsburgh Pirates
2020: Caught COVID when he was about to sign with the Braves, around the same time when Freddy Freeman did.
2021: Played in Mexico and Korea.
2022: Free Agent.
I was at game 6 that was the best game I was ever at
I can't wait for you to reach 100k subs thats a big deal
Final countdown to 100K🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Yelich fracturing his kneecap and missing the last month of the 2019 season and the post season is what changed things. Not Puig. Yeli hasn't been the same hitter since that injury and the Crew gave him that big extension, so there's limited financial flexibility in a small market now. It's going to hurt your small market franchise when you put a large percentage of your budget into one player you expect to be at least a perennial all star and he turns out to be league average at best.
Thank you Wild Horse
The fact that the Brewers are a small market team certainly doesn't help either. All small market teams have a difficult time getting consecutive successful season, what with keeping talent around and such.
And all for nothing we got our ass kicked in the 2018 World Series
Hi!
I just realized the Brewers is the reason my my 2019 & 2021 Astros didn’t win the World Series.
I've been watching your stuff - really enjoyed it! But the nonstop cuts in the beginning are nauseating.
This was rude. I remember walking into the fridged cold parking lot thinking that the Brewers keep giving us these awesome summers and throwing us into winter feeling empty.
wait how did the rockies get to the NLDS if the dodgers won the division and the brewers won the wildcard
Wow thats some hyperbole
Less than 600 from 100k. My man!
That’s 600
@@Noah-tu2nw I made an oopsies!
On My 14th birthday 😢
Hey
I wish the Dodgers would bring Puig back.
Song of the day - party in the usa (Miley Cyrus)
Yelich stealing signs... look at the home stats vs road. Notice how he sucked after they found out? Puig is my hero.
Are you a cubs fan!
As a brewers Fan I’ll say
Chris Taylor hurt us more
Baseball was so much fun when Puig was tearing it up. Really sucks how he demolished his own career being stupid.
Bro broke a team and then got broken by the league 💀
Not sure how this video is made without mention of Woodruff’s dong off Kershaw.. the disrespect 🤦♂️
As a giants fan I never liked Puig or his antics was extremely overhyped as a player
Facts!
If only Yeli didn't get his knee completely demolished :/
Thanks for the reminder that I'll never see the Brewers win shit in my lifetime, no idea why I continue to support the saddest sorriest organization in baseball
The Brewers will turn it around in 2023
One of the lowest points in my life 😢😢
You forgot to mention "all while cheating"
There’s literally no evidence that the Dodgers cheated lmao
What Dodgers cheating? If anything they're victims of cheating scandals twice in 2017 and 2018 although those cheating scandals are in the rear view mirror they still happened and there's nothing we can do now
Now he’s in the prison leauge
Wasn't Puig smuggled out of Cuba by the cartel and ended up playing pro ball in Mexico before going to the MLB
He tried to defect from Cuba about a dozen times before he was successful and he only played in the Mexican leagues after he was effectively blackballed from mlb
@@Wolf-wc1js Yeah his story is crazy. It was one hell of a journey.
Brewers not going to playoffs when they disrespected Burnes
I could not STAND Puig. He could have been great but he couldn't get out of his own way.
Puig was clutch in 2017 and 2018 postseasons.
yeah and puig should be looking over his shoulder wanted by the mafia for his ride to the usa on that raft boat to bad the hit didnt come true dirty player
…but Brewers fans, keep telling us that the Dodgers cheated their way to win the pennant. 🙄
Rude
Day 4 of trying to become a top commenter on this channel
Puig has ruined a bunch of things including his own career... sadly.
Why are you giving so much credit to puig? Such an odd choice. That brewers team had a good year but they weren’t that great of a team.
I wonder what puig is up too
