- Hey everyone back with Trailmakers! Today we are trying a TANK evolution challenge where we see who can design the best tank by adding both blocks and extra power each round! This means our tanks will not only be more powerful each round but also become bigger and more armored!

Mortar battles. Smack a ton of those cannons on vehicles. “Edit, I mean a LOT” The map is split up so you have to stay in your section avoiding mortar fire while returning fire.

It looks like the rotating servos for your turret desynced, creating a similar glitch to the Scrap Mechanic suspension glitch.
I know you've been doing these for a month and a half strait, but I really like these evolutions. This is a particularly excellent one too.

Awesome video as always, Kan.
I have to question your insistance on adding a rotating turret, though. The benefit of having a rotating turret on real-world tanks is that it allows a gunner/gunners to control the cannon while a driver/drivers control the tank.
If you're building a tank with only one occupant that must control both the steering and the cannon, having a rotational turret is a waste of time and resources as you can control rotation by turning the vehicle. Focusing on firepower, armor, steering/control and making the cannon(s) able to be angled is a better use of time and resources.
Their tanks couldn't turn in place, so the rotating turret let them aim without moving. Also since they are using a keyboard to control the tank they can easily control both the tank and the turret with one hand each.
Rotating turret could also be used sideways while driving other direction. Simplification: strafing.

I have a pretty cool idea.
Don't recolor your builds after every round except for the changes you've made, so we can see what changes/what's been added for every round. for the first round everyone uses black so we can see if anything from the original stays the entire time.

I’m still upset we don’t have the ability to either do tank steering with wheels in this game or they haven’t added tracks to the game yet.
I mean you can do tank steering already, just set one engine for normal driving, one engine to only left wheels with DA controlls, and the same with the third but with right wheels and AD controlls
I mean you can do tank steering, it's a bit of a pain to get right and even then it's a bit difficult to get used to but I've managed.
You can do it alright... you just don't know how

Here's a random cursed suggestion.
Evolving trains. Hear me out!
You don't have to look specifically like a train
You must have at least one trailer / train car
The train engine must be equal to or bigger than the car
your engine can have up to 6 wheels or however many but the cars must have 4 max.
You can have a weapon if you want to have a battle. Having a turret car could be interesting.
An offroad or mix terrain train race would be cool.
Technically you can use the hover pads if you want but sounds like trouble and power cores.
I'll leave those rules up to you guys.
They should have a build battle where they can’t use wheels or any form of thruster or propeller or hover pad, they have to build walkers essentially or build their own wheels I guess

Tanks have treads, unlike armored cars, which have wheels.
The repair battle definitely a highlight.
Maybe instead of timing the turrets as '0 0.25 0.50' (three round volley) you could try '0 0.33 0.66' for a constant fire rate

Idea: Minigun build, either mounted or turret that can pivot, multiple small cannons that rotate and only fires once then rotates to cut out delay between shots
Ok, so you do this again, but with a few changes.
First, you continue to work on your own tank from round to round. Second, the winner of each battle gets bonus blocks for the next round. Third, if you don't use all of your allotted blocks in a round, you get bonus blocks for the next round equal to the blocks saved. This does not include unused bonus blocks you gained from winning.
So if in round 1 you use 15 out of your 20 blocks, in round two, instead of having 40 total blocks to use, you get a total of 45.
This gives the players the choice of saving to get more next round, or go all out to shoot for the bonus blocks gained from winning.
Kosmos Design in the 80 block one is interesting. He has got spaced armor

Kan probably needed better weight distribution. Almost all armor in front lead to his bouncing.

it will be like survival so 1 airplane vs 2 SPAA and the 1 who survives the longest wins

I think it's funny how kosmo mentioned thay his first vehicle was bad because it was asymmetrical. However if you look at some of the most advanced military tanks like the m1a2sep it's not symmetrical.
If your putting a block limit per round then what is the point in the time limit? I feel like you guys could have some fun with changing what the constraints of the evolution are.

Soo 34 parts or 46 parts? Considering 6 probably are power cores...
Considering cannons and the engines both take 3 power cores it depends. So for 40 parts they all had one cannon and one engine equaling 6 power cores and 2 parts so 38 parts left to build with.
