One of my favourite comeback lines ever is Jimmy saying "If you want my comeback, you'll have to scrape if off your mother's teeth" 🤣
_"Huh huh huh HAAAH!!"_ 😀
god dam geniussss XD
My mother wouldn't let me
😂😂
It's a shame so many people have ruined comedy. Certain groups think they are exempt from being made fun of and only white normal straight people are fair game. Look at how the freaks reacted to Dave Chappelle.
I'm glad Jimmy Carr is finally getting recognition in the US he deserves it after a great long career.
Why TF you think people in the US don't know Jimmy Carr? Next you'll be saying we don't know Stephen Fry or Sean Lock.
@@AcidicMentality cool bro you've watched a few youtube videos, most americans would have no idea who jimmy is
@@AcidicMentalityI mean...they dong
@@Mvrky0cool bro you are super ghey with aides…
@@skindred1888 right, this man is crazy if he seriously thinks the average American knows who Sean lock is
Jimmy Carr is a savage
@@pn2124harsh? 😅
Its so wholesome listening to Jimmy speak naturally, although this guy will bury you alive in roast battle is the hilarious part 😂
I've seen Kevin Hart, Josh Johnson, Katt Williams, and Doug Stanhope live. I've also seen Jimmy Carr live and he had me ROLLING. His ability to push boundaries beyond their limit and still make you laugh is... He's on another level
Patrice, Burr, Giraldo, Jeselnik, Pinette 👍💣🔥
@@kevinwalsh4652 Damn... Somehow I forgot about Greg Geraldo. Dude SLAYS thanks for reminding me
@@hanzflackshnack1158 CZcams has his special "mid life vices", pure genius, however for some reason they beep out profanity, allow me to predict two times you will laugh hard: "nuts, nuts", and the dude Greg catches sleeping in the audience
I’ve also been to my share of live shows, and I gotta say, Jim Breuer probably surprised me the most. Saw him about a decade ago and I was blown away at how hard I laughed during the entire show. Wasn’t expecting that at all.
@@kerryblackburn7850 I've never seen him live but I watched some of his stand up a few weeks ago. Dude GOES OFF like he doesn't have a care in the world. His energy is infectious boy is mad funny
Jimmy is a very underrated speaker. The man stole the whole podcast 😮
he's a genius - people pay a lot of money to hear him speak. Agreed tho
You should see him hosting. UK game show hosts are incredible speakers. Rob Brydon as well
He was the guest
He looks very skinny or sick did some thing happen?
@@SGTSLACKASS I understand your confusion, he's not American if that helps
I love Jimmy Carr, my favourite joke of his is:
If only Africa had more mosquito nets then every year we could save millions of mosquitoes from dying needlessly of aids
That’s the joke right there !
One of the best jokes I've ever heard, period. Glad to see another fan
Jimmy Carr's intro is like most guest's closing sentiments. The man has a philosopher's mindset
He’s so right.Positive energy is real and can help or hurt a comedian’s performance.
I think Jimmy has a good point about the potential of comedy to grow. Cinemas and the film industry is on a downward spiral and comedy clubs could well grow to fill that void if enough people are willing to invest in the industry and build new talent.
Jimmy is far and away the best comedian I've seen live. He is an unbridled savage in the best possible way
Billy Connolly is a personal favourite of mine
Yeah no one is a quick of the mark as Jimmy, other comedians need to have their act and one thing can put them off, Jimmy is the best at quick comebacks with the crowd
ya sure? have you seen Bert's "The Machine" bit yet? GOATED.
You can’t be serious lol
@@starllama2149 great thing about comedy is it’s subjective. So yeah I am serious. Have a great day
I always love to see comedians talk about the craft of comedy especially with each other, and about what makes people laugh and all this other stuff that goes into the performance, that we typically don't get to hear about in a serious manner. I find it fascinating and hope we get to see Jimmy and Joe talk again in the future :D
The key to making someone laugh, is being funny. That may seem controversial but it's right.
Joe can learn a thing or two about being a good comedian from Jimmy! 😅
I wouldn't put Joe anywhere near Jimmy's level of comedy 😅 .....he's best sticking to interviewing......😂
I have seen Jimmy on a lot of Brit TV shows...but his interview with Joe shows what a thoughtful brilliant man he is. Now he is on my bucket list to go see live.
Treat yourself! 😊
Check out his appearance with Jordan Peterson too dude. Very interesting.
Also, he’s great live, if you’ve seen any of his shows you see he interacts with the audience quite a lot, well at his smaller shows, times that by 10. You also get to see him armed with a clip board and pen after the interval testing out new jokes he’s been working on
@@DLFLuxI saw him live in Glasgow a few years ago, with my mum lol, Jimmy stayed after the gig to sign autographs for anyone that wanted one, no pics though as that would have took forever if everyone wanted a photo too, we both kissed him on the cheek 😂
@@Kazza_8240 you got to meet him? That awesome! I’ve seen him a couple of times now, most recently last year in Cardiff, he did stay after the show and was signing programs for people but everyone I was with just wanted to go so I didn’t stay and wait lol
@@DLFLux omg!....me and my mum had my brother waiting in his car in the car park.....but I persuaded my mum to stay by saying 'when are we gonna get this chance again?' 😅😂 I've only seen him once lol.
I need to see Jimmy Carr live sometime. I love his brand of comedy!
It was awesome from start to finish. I applauded when the podcast ended.
I love comedian's most have truly beautiful minds, go Jimmy Concise Carr!
I’ve been privy to comedian conversations thanks to Joe, that I almost feel like I’m a part of the community…except I’m not funny or a comedian…and I’m not joes friend or even in the same country…
Damn…I’m a comedy peeping Tom…
You lied.... you are funny!
Great podcast! I love Jimmy Carr
great ep both yous know your stuff both of yous opened my eyes on few things on this ep amazing as always thanks dudes
Jimmy is sharp at the cutting edge great comic.
Jimmy Carr is amazing. His shows are hilarious. His TV hosting is on point. He's well read an educated, a scholar of his art. He's one of the main reasons as an American I love and respect the British sense of humor and love to watch British tele.
One of these men is a comedian
Brilliant stuff from Jimmy
These guys seriously competent
I could listen to this guy for a while!
Weekly Live Netflix local stand up comedy shows , produced by them, streamed by them. I'd watch.
Halloween Joke Q: Why dont Monsters eat ghosts? A: Because the taste like sheet
Jimmy Car "what can you give back?"....your taxes! lol

Humour just hits different ❤
This is the most serious ive ever seen jimmy carr
Jimmy and Frankie Boyle have always been my two favourite comedians
Yeah, shame what happened to Frankie Boyle though. Guy just lost it.
@@damarcuscolfer1485 Not even close, I'm sorry his edgy jokes were just jokes and not his real opinions though, that must've hurt.
@@wc8246 No clue what you're on about. He simply stopped being funny after Mock the Week. Really tragic.
@@damarcuscolfer1485 You don't *feel* like he's funny, but regardless of you fee fees he's a paid comedian, he is funny to enough to get paid to be funny. His NWO show is great. The reason most people stopped enjoying his comedy is because it tuned out his jokes were just jokes and not hiding a political message.
@@wc8246 You think being a paid comedian means you're definitionally funny? That's absurd. Most comedians are just safe purveyors of a general orthodoxy now. That's why Live at the Apollo hasn't had a funny act since Reginald D Hunter and Steve Hughes. That's why James Corden had his own show. That's why Mae Martin, James Acaster, Nish Kumar, Rose Mattafeo and Richard Osman are thrown at our eyes. If anything the goal for a paid comedian now is to not be funny, as funny is inherently subversive. As for politics, I'm an old school British Socialist, it's not about politics. It's simply they're not funny. They don't raise a chuckle. They don't tickle the mind. That has more to do with how socially, emotionally and psychologically restrictive the modern world is. Not whether you prefer socialised medicine or not, for example.
Kim Kardashian was the greatest comeback story
This comes across as Jimmy is the host and Joe is the guest.
The two comics I would love to hear chat together
Would be jimmy and Dave
That would be such a interesting chat
Make it happen joe
A genius, this man is
I've tried watching Jimmy Carr's stand up. He did a lot of set-up/punchline jokes and stands absolutely stock still on a huge stage. If that's your thing, it'll really be your thing, but it's not for me. That being said, he's probably the best panel show host ever. Cats Does Countdown and the Big Fat Quiz are so good.
I agree, I tried watching his stuff on Netflix and it just wasn’t for me. But as a host he absolutely cracks me up.
His guest spots on QI are brill too
I’m seeing jimmy perform in Grimsby next week😊
I dare you to heckle him 😂
@@jaiczislowski9669 I wouldn’t dare he’ll probably be reading this 😄
I see him live in 2 weeks
Very insightful
Glad you enjoyed it
I use comedians like therapists because there's nothing more healing than being able to laugh at some of the BS we deal with in life.
Jimmy is wasted on British Telly panel shows. He’s bigger than that.
Like Jimmy Carr a lot, especially on panel shows he presents or is a guest on…never really got into his stand up maybe it’s just the one liner thing! He was the best on that Rob Lowe roast too!
I saw Jimmy Carr at a medium sized venue and it was awesome. His next time to town was a hockey arena and it was a hard pass for me.
Jimmy Carr the wellbeing guru.
I hope there is a day when a comedian has the ''i think youd be surprised'' convo with Joe regarding his standup..
We’ll he’s made a shit ton of money from his “comedy” so enough people like it 😂🤷🏻♂️
Comedy has a very important role in todays word, to relieve stress, also to bring out those opinions to be debated by people, Jimmy is a live wire, and very much switched on.
Like porn
The difference between them is that Jimmy is funny, Frankie is just abusive for shock value.
Brilliant mind Jimmy Carr
2:20 I know plenty of comics who aren't that talented, but they get tons of gigs because their friends help them out.
CZcams content creators are more individual than comedians and more tribal than comedy clubs
Take it on the chin Jim
US stand ups sure do like patting themselves on the back for an incredibly mediocre bunch of comics. Jimmy is on another level to most of them. Chapelle is prob the zenith. Norm (I know he’s Canadian) was one of the best of all time. I like Joe but he’s in that Middle tier along with the rest of that group. Except Theo, he has an agile mind and a unique perspective
Joe’s stand up is below average
I think its above average. To each their own
Well......... if he is below average. Does this mean your mum is marked unsatisfactory to contribution to society, after giving birth to a mog?
I love Jimmy but that line about "what can I give back to the community?"
Pay your taxes, Jimmy, you could do that
Jimmy thinking maybe I'll duck more taxes and do this myself 😂
I like Rogan for the most part; i respect his background in martial arts, his BJJ, his UFC commentary and his willingness to push the envelop with content for discussion on his podcast. But i never really found him funny as a comedian; its clearly something hes good at, but nothing really lands with me; i just dont find him funny. Am i alone on this?
No his stand up is shite.
no you're not, and let's not forget him bringing up brendan schaub, jesus fucking christ
In my experience watching American standup comedy it’s very hit or miss. For me there are two type of comedians writers and situations, writers are funny when they have topics or do scripts jokes. situations are always at their best live or getting heckle and make jokes on the spot. And for me personally jimmy is a better situation comedian that joe is.
Not alone
You aren’t alone
I watch this all the way through expecting him to bend spoons with his mind.
The bit Jimmy said about standing watching a band and not dancing is total bollocks. It’s completely acceptable to watch a band perform and concentrate on what the musicians are doing
Are you triggered.....
Jimmy Carr is truely one of the greats ❤🇨🇦🌊
Watch him on 8 out of 10 cats does count down or big fat quiz in England.
of course it is. its part of the affair of the night
I had to good pleasure of being on a Tv show with jimmy Carr
The best time for comedy ..was that a joke
😂Golden Age.
“I do quite edgy stuff” 😂 No shit Jim
Jimmy needs a new special, everyone in the world should know Jimmy Carr is our dave chappel
Dave who? 🤭
@Kazza_8240 dave Chappele what's so funny about that? Auto correct? Hilarious right.
@@virtualbunksie5117 I wasn't poking fun at your spelling, I've honestly heard OF dave Chappele (never knew how to spell it) but I've never seen any of his stand up, if I have it wasn't memorable 😅 I prefer UK comedians, they're just different, I do like SOME US comedians, but it's rare, my favourites are Jimmy, Kevin Bridges, Billy Connolly and Limmy.
(Yes I'm Scottish 😅)....Scots comedy is so much more of a relatable belly laugh for me.
Mr Carr come to namibia. People watch bands and act like statues. If you know everyone in the crowd. You do not become a crowd.. love your work.
every time i see Joe Rogan's name, i hope it's followed by his obit.
To be a great comedian, you usually must possess high intelligence, it comes in different forms. Usually, comedians are highly intelligent, maybe not academically but still.....
Sniffing their own farts too much.
Toe Rogan cant hold a candle to a standup like Jimmy
All the Worlds a Stage,
& we are merely players🌏💛
🕊🕊🕊
If all the world's a stage, where does the audience sit?
it's proven that npcs exists
Damn .. Jimmy suddenly strikes me as someone who could have become a crime boss heh
This petered out
I hope they talked about "your face or mine". I bet he has a lot of stories about the dodgy people on that
Here's a joke: Joe Rogan took horse de-wormer for his Covid
He wasn't the only one. Science education needs a lot more funding.
That's so joe rogan to interview someone about comedy who doesn't write his own material
Jimmy balls deep
Please don't tell me how the magic trick is done. I like my magic mysterious.
In the world we live in today.
Comedy is golden.
Comedy will be the last thing to die 👍👍💪💪🍺🍺🍺
Yeah, it's packed, with hungry people 😅
Tp this day i only watched videos of stanups and i know if i would attend the show in reallife i would not enjoy it that much. Alsp i am not a person who bursts out in laughter. I do that in reallife when something is funnny but usually bot for jokes. I find them funny but i dont laugh loud like i usially do when something is funny.
He sounds like a deadhead, i love it
Is Joe actually considered a comedian?
Joe considers himself a comedian but he's really awful tbh. I think he got a couple of Netflix specials because of who he is, not because he's actually any good. I watched some of his stuff and I can't tell you how bad it was.
It’s kind of shamanistic truly.
Any time I go to a show or concert, I don't take my phone out at all. I don't get the idiots that watch the whole show through their phone smh
Joe is a bad comic.
There’s a reason the comedy panel show exists. People doing dumb shit is funny, but clever people being funny provokes thought, it expands that window. There are two important roles in civil discourse. There’s historians and there’s comedians. When the economy takes a downturn, they don’t call an economist on the news. They call a historian. “How did this happen?” “Well it’s happened before, when X happened in 19XX.” The government of the day with its vested interests then tries to change the narrative, to make the public move on from criticising their screw ups. But the comedians arrive. They say “the emperor has no clothes on, are you seeing this?!” and the public takes notice. The most successful TV about current events are the late-night shows, the comedy about the days events. That’s because otherwise we’d all go mad reflecting on how shit everything is all of the time.
2 modern comedians basically saying that Bernhard Manning was the original king of comedy
This... this is also why cinema is special. Or used to be special.
Another art form that pushed the boundaries (at least between the 80s and 2000s) and gave people a communal space with other people.
Then politics became a form of marketing (thanks disney), and people started feeling obligated to go watch a movie to "support a cause" do they take selfies in the theater, then feel the need to RUSH and post spoilers of the movie on social media to virtue signal or feel better about their crappy life (thank you Twitter... for the worst kept secret in movie history, Spiderman no way home... imagine if that wasn't spoiled for everyone before they watched the movie.) and now the cinema is dying, because it became a toxic space that nobody wants to go out to, IF they can just stay at home and stream it (or pirate it).
Oh, and that doesn't even tackle the politics in movies themselves (anything in marvel from phase 4, except the spiderman movies sony made and the movie jsmes gunn made... after he was fired for political reasons😂, barbie, that Olivia wilde movie that was unbelievably over-hyped, midsommar, etc.), or the overly pretentious artists who ruin it for everyone. Specifically looking towards "the lighthouse" and midsommar, etc.
Then you get people that combine those two elements, like Ryan Johnson (the last jedi is still one of the most convoluted messes I have ever seen. Mauler does a great 5 hour critique on the movie. And yes, all 5 hours are valid criticisms. That's just how bad that movie is) and niel druckman (season 2 of TLOU is gonna be SO entertaining to watch. But not the horrible story, I mean the Twitter threads😂).
And now you can't even watch a movie without being politically involved in it. Don't like barbie? You're full of toxic masculinity or a pick me girl. Don't like wakanda forever? Racist. Don't like TLOU2? Transphobe, bigot, racist, sexist, keyboard warrior. (Niel druckman's own tweets there. Like I said, season 2 is gonna be SO fun to watch unfold😂).
UK comedy is completely different from American comedy
How can Joe Rogan, a professional comedian do 5 hour podcasts and not say a single funny thing
Tough time for comedians.
Unless you paint your nails
we need to worship these comedians. Us pedestrians will never understand
So there is no food there!? 😂😂🤣🤣
It would have been great if Joe had questioned Jimmy on why he labelled anyone that didn't take the experimental jab 'an idiot'.
I used to love Carr, he was easily the funniest stand-up comedian I've ever seen, but he is now a major twat in my opinion.
Jimmy looks a little gaunt and unwell, hope he's alright
What's Jimmy done to his face?
Jimmy should give Joe some tips on how to actually be funny.
