Wow , memories ,I was in at the start with the first model c-scope ,they worked but didn’t go very deep , I would have loved a machine like the minelab range,made here in adelaide , Australia where I now live…it was a great pastime until arthritis arrived , hope you all have fun at eastBourne , I used to live in Yorkshire where we once found a hoard of 27 Roman coins ,made from bronze they were in poor condition,happy days . , John.

I wzwon'go into it but Lee Cutts, Sonik, Peaky's, Northants and Bondi Leigh all know my sad story. But it was brilliant hearing the old dirty ditty 😂

Sounds great but I live in Scotland. In the early 70's my dad built his own detector, heavy wooden beast but it worked well.

Many of the capacitors in these are probably bad, they just weren't made to last decades. Easy to replace.

Really wish I could be there, not been detecting for about 6 years as my hubby is disabled now and can't use his detector. We have Tesoro Silver Sabre II's, would they be classed as vintage now? If you do it again sometime with a bit more notice we could come down in our motor home (we're in Manchester). Good luck and I hope you have lots of people joining you.
