All these intricate details is what makes the seerah so alive. It’s as if you are there in person at that time. Also you can see the humanity of the prophet (pbuh) which you will never feel when you just study his life in generalities ie in bullet points. May Allah bless Yasir Qadhi for all his efforts.

Episode 27- Episode 31 Notes (Part 2 and Final. Ill repost this on Eps 29 & 30 & 31 too)
The Prophet SAW initially used a tree trunk a minbar. But, eventually a proper minbar was built. This caused the tree trunk to cry, during one of the Khutbah’s that the Prophet SAW gave on the new minbar. The Prophet SAW immediately paused the Khutbah and hugged the tree trunk which, caused it to stop crying. After this event, the Prophet SAW had the tree trunk buried under the ground of his new minbar.
The five daily Salaahs were changed during this early period, from all being two Rakaats, to how they exist now. Also, during this period, Abdullah Ibn Zayd RA had a dream of the Azaan. Abdullah Ibn Zayd RA told the Prophet SAW this dream and the Prophet SAW confirmed it and told him to teach Bilal RA the Azaan. Thus, kickstarting the era of calling Muslims to prayer via the Azaan.
Fun Trivia fact: The story of the spider web covering the Cave of Thawr is authentic but, there is a slight weakness within its chain. Furthermore, the stories of a tree leaning over the cave and two birds nesting at the entrance, are okay to narrate. But, they do have massive gaps in their narrations.
Fun Trivia fact: Abu Bakr RA was so worried for the safety of the Prophet SAW during the Hijrah, that he kept going to SAW’s front, back and sides.
Fun Trivia fact: Abu Bakr RA is the only Sahabi, that Allah SWT directly affirmed in the Qur’an as being a Sahabi.
Fun Trivia fact: Abdullah Ibn Urayqit was pagan at the time of the Hijrah.
Fun Trivia fact: 4-5 People accepted Islam during the Hijrah itself.
Fun Trivia fact: White lies are allowed in Islam for a reason.
Fun Trivia fact: In a Hadith the Prophet SAW stated that “Whoever calls Medina as Yathrib should say Astagfirullah” meaning Medina is the name that should be used.
Fun Trivia fact: Both Allah SWT and The Prophet SAW refer to Medina as Medina. In fact Allah SWT calls it Medina in Surah At-Tawbah.
Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW referred to Medina in three ways mainly. 1. Al Medina which means The City, 2.Taybah and 3.Tabah which both mean pure.
Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW said that Mount Uhud loves the Muslims and that it is a Mountain of Jannah.
Fun Trivia fact: There are only two Haram’s in Islam. Makkah and Medina. The rewards for praying in Masjid Al Nabawi are better than 1000 prayers in any other mosque. Praying in Masjid Al Haram is 100,000 times better than praying in any other mosque. Jerusalem is not a Haram.
Fun Trivia fact: Makkah was the first Mosque ever built for worship on Earth. It has been holy since Allah SWT created the Heavens and the Earth. But, it was Ibrahim AS who declared its holiness.
Fun Trivia fact: Whoever dies in Medina, will have the Prophet SAW as an intercessor for him.
Fun Trivia fact: Jannat Al Baqi is the most blessed graveyard on Earth. Over 10,000 Sahabah are buried there, including nine wives of the Prophet SAW and his son Ibrahim and Uthman Ibn Affan RA.
Fun Trivia fact: To bring an army or weapons into Makkah is not allowed. Makkah is so sacred that you cannot even pluck grass or leafs within it.
Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW is a second cousin to the Banu Khazraj through Abdul Muttalib whose mother, Salma, was a Khazraji.
Fun Trivia fact: The Banu Aws and Banu Khazraj were Qahtani Arabs that came to Medina from Yemen after the collapse of the famous Marib Dam.
Fun Trivia fact: The Jinn built Suliman AS temple which was the first Jewish Temple. This was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar.
Fun Trivia fact: The Jews were expelled from Jerusalem twice. The first time after Nebuchadnezzar destroyed their temple. The second time after the Romans under Emperor Titus, destroyed their second temple. The Second temple was built by King Herod.
Fun Trivia fact: Medina had three famous Jewish tribes. The Banu Nadir, Banu Qaynuqa and Banu Qurayza.
Fun Trivia fact: There were some Muslims who out of fear of persecution, did not make Hijrah and thus were on the side of the Quraysh during the Battle of Badr. Which meant that some of them, were killed by Muslims who did not know of their Islam.
Fun Trivia fact: The Hijrah was made Fardh for all Muslims and this included those Muslims who converted to Islam in Makkah, after the Prophet SAW had made Hijrah. However, were exceptions made for those who were genuinely weak.
Fun Trivia fact: Making Hijrah itself was later abrogated by the Prophet SAW himself after the Conquest of Makkah.
Fun Trivia fact: In Islam it is allowed to dig up graves and bury them somewhere else for legitimate reasons.
Fun Trivia fact: Masjid Nabawi had three main entrances and a multitude of private entrances for those who had built a house next door to it. Abu Bakr RA and Aisha RA were two people who had built their houses next to the Masjid meaning they had private entrance’s into Masjid Nabawi.
Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW stated that, had he not hugged the tree trunk, it would have wept until the Day of Judgement.
Fun Trivia fact: The Green Dome of the Masjid Nabawi hasn’t always been green. It has been white, black, yellow and dozen other colours throughout history.
Fun Trivia fact: During the various renovations of Masjid Nabawi, in the time of Al Walid I. One of the walls of the house of Aisha RA had collapsed and the feet of Umar RA were exposed to the people and they hadn’t decomposed at all.
Fun Trivia fact: Masjid Nabawi was the first Masjid built and completed by the Prophet SAW. It is also the first Masjid built in Islam. Masjid Quba had its foundations laid by the Prophet SAW before Masjid An Nabawi was built. But Masjid Quba was not completed by the Prophet SAW but, rather by the Sahabah.
Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW would pray every Monday in Masjid Quba. The Prophet SAW stated that whoever does Wuhdu in their house and then prays in Masjid Quba, will gain the reward of doing an entire Umrah.
Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW did not pray Jummah at all until SAW made Hijrah. So, the Sahabah RA in Medina were praying Jummah for about 1 year, before the Prophet SAW arrived and then prayed and began leading Jummah.
Fun Trivia fact: The First Jummah that the Prophet SAW ever led was neither in Masjid Quba or Masjid Al Haram. It was led in an area half way between Medina and Quba.
Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW’s Khutbah’s used to be three to five minutes in duration. But, SAW salaah was much longer.
Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW built two Masjids in Medina before he even built his own home.
Fun Trivia fact: As the years in Medina went by. There were at least a dozen Masjids during the time of Prophet SAW. But Masjid An Nabawi was the central one.
Fun Trivia fact: In the Prophet SAW time, the Masjid became the home for Muslims who had no homes to live in.
Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW predicted the death of Amar Ibn Yasir RA during this early Madani Period. This prediction was later used to show that Ali RA was closer to the truth than Mu’awiya RA.
Fun Trivia fact: Umar Ibn Khattab RA also had the dream of the Azaan and he confirmed it to the Prophet SAW when he heard Bilal RA calling it for the first time.
Fun Trivia fact: Whoever prays the 12 Sunnah Rawatib/Muakkadah each day. Allah SWT will build a palace for them in Jannah.
Fun Trivia fact: Allah SWT decreed that the year would have 12 Months when he created the Heavens and the Earth. This is mentioned in the Qur’an explicitly.
Fun Trivia fact: The Hijri Calendar was created during the reign of Umar RA, in the 17th year of the Hijrah. Ali RA was the one who recommended that the Islamic Calendar start from the Hijrah year since, that is when the situation of the Muslims tremendously changed.

Disclaimer for my Notes of Sheikh Yasir Qadhi’s Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam Series:
Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh, these are my notes on Sheikh Yasir Qadhi’s Seerah series.
Please note: I HIGHLY recommend that you all watch YQ’s Seerah series, as I DON’T cover every single detail the Sheikh mentions. I made these notes primarily for myself but, decided my fellow brothers and sisters may benefit from them too. I no doubt will have made mistakes in my notes. All the good in these notes is from Allah SWT and all the mistakes are from myself. But, I was very meticulous and tried my best to make sure everything is accurate as the Sheikh mentions it.
You also will see I have added “Fun Trivia facts” under each of my notes. These FTFs are information YQ said that was off topic or not necessary to include in my notes for the episode. But, they were still worth mentioning hence the inclusion as FTFs. FTFs aren’t always HAPPY pieces of information. Sometimes they are very sad trivia. I just want to say that FTF is the phrase I used for them all collectively when making the notes.
One thing I wanted to do but am too lazy to do is, maybe someone could take the FTFs from under each “Episode” and make an Islamic reminder/information IG/TikTok account and post them daily or something. Could be a great form of Sadaqah Jaariyah.
Please keep me in your Duas and ask Allah SWT to forgive all our sins during this blessed month and beyond! Ameen

With humility and respect, I must offer one correction to the sheikh's lecture. The Temple of Suleiman was not a wonder of the ancient world, if one is referring to the "7 wonders of the world" identified by ancient Hellenistic travelers. They are: The Light House of Alexandria, The Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Colossus of Rhodes, The Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, The Great Pyramids of Giza, The Statue of Zeus at Olympia, and the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus. The 1st Temple in Jerusalem was built by Suleiman and destroyed by Babylon in about 720 BCE, hundreds of years before the "7 wonders of the world" were identified. No doubt, if the 1st temple was still standing, it would have been included.

    • @maganhassan2627
      @maganhassan2627 Před 3 lety

@@maganhassan2627 corrected. I'm getting my bible history mixed up. Babylonians destroyed it, but the Assyrians attacked and they made Hezekiah's tunnel and were ok in the walls... The seven wonder's thing I'm for sure about, it was a greek culture thing. First authors I know about are Herodotus and Callimachus and they are after 500 bc. So the temple still would have been down. Hope you're enjoying Ramadan.

Close. The shaykh made a mistake by saying Yathrib and Medina instead of Yemen. Two possible cases for Jews in Arabia after expulsion of Jerusalem.
      1) Jews come down to Arabia. A small pocket stopped and lived in Medina/Yathrib. The bulk went to Yemen.
      2) second theory is the Jews went to Yemen first and a small pocket travelled up north to Medina.

the battle of Bader was not intended to be an attack on an army, it was planned as an attack on a caravan, so no many people are needed. then the prophet SAW was surprised by the Quraish army. Battle of Auhod (one year or so later) muslims were around 1000. and God knows best

Historically, there were dozens of types of extinct sects of Judaism. Rabbinic Judaism was not the first category.
Karaite is a category that existed before and after; depending on the group.
Qaynuqah, Qurayza, Nadhir, and the other 12 or so are typical of divisions among Jews.
Aws and Khazraj might be later tribes from Qatan, but humans living in Arabia is consistent for a good 70,000 years,
People in the Islamic and Jewish world need to stop confusing Ancient Israelites with Jews. Each group gained power twice. The Jews did as the Maccabees and in the Bar Kochbah revolution. Before the emergence of Judaism, around 540 B.C.E., there were two periods when the Israelites took charge in the land.
Depending on the genetic study, 90-95% of the Jews lack Israelite ancestry, but are converts or descendants of converts. Many tribes have no link beyond the period where the Jews innovated the ideas of no converts and adopted linage. the lack of tribal linage going back dozens of generations in the way some oral traditions work.
People need to stop jumping to conclusions that certain people did things like build the first dam, if they don't know.

Yahudi comes from King Yahuda ibn Yacoub. Sons of Yahuda ibn Yacoub are Jews. Jew is a nationality. It doesnt mean that all the Hebrew Banu Yisrael (yacoub) were jews.. Isa came from the tribe of Judah. Jews were always amongst Arabs. Jewish is secular religion.. Allah knows best
