His nickname is "Tiger of desert" in Turkey. Rumors here says; in one of those days he was struggling with food and water sources of his army and defence of Madina, he saw Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) in his dream and said, "Ya Rasulallah, my army don't have anything to eat" and Prophet (pbuh) said "Do not leave the city." Next day a swarm of grasshoppers came to city, he and his army ate from them. May Allah be pleased with him, his soldiers, all the martyrs of world war one and us..

I admire Islamic ancient empires. As divided as they were, they always stood for what they believed in. The little that I know about these empires has shone light onto the problems we have today. I think we should all learn about them. The Umayyads, Abbasids, Ottomans, Seljuks, Ayyubids, Mamluks etc

@@mz8452 What? Have you even read the Qur'an? Surah Zumar, Surah Zukhruf? Surah Fatiha? Islam is a religion of pure monotheism, a religion of invoking Allah SWT alone and nobody else, and a religion of following the sunnah of his Prophet SAWS.

@@DARTH-R3VAN on those days when we were able to eat it, there were plenty of grasshoppers because big waves of them attacked our land and crops; I remember one days in the evening the sky was covered with a lot of grasshoppers and the wheat that the farmers were harvested and prepared it for the machine to come and separate the grains from other parts of the wheat plant; that wheat was very covers with grasshoppers ; at that time it was very easy to catch them because of there huge numbers ; those waves of grasshopper continue to come every year for a while but thanks to god they stop ; and this is the reason we are unable to eat them anymore.

How can the prophet ( sallallaahu ‘Aleyhi Wasallam ) protect him when he passed away and was buried in his grave more than 1200 years already at that time .
