The dive team is for body recovery. Not rescue…

I’m a Merchant Marine and a lot of these container ships are maintained on a shoestring, the crew is very low paid, the owners have a habit of cutting corners.

Prayer's for all the people who went in the water and for their families. 🙏

Can't help but feel that Francis Scott Key Bridge is emblematic of our country... God help the people who are in the water and their families.

Prayers for the people who fell & the rescue workers.

  • @eyesopen9139

Recover would probably be a better word to use.

Competency - is not a priority in this country.

A shame the news is so terrible. The bridge didn't collapse, it was hit, there is a huge difference.

  • @sinistar426

If this happened at 1am ish, who do they "think" they are "rescuing" after treading water for 8+ hours in those temps? Just call it a recovery mission, same for the vehicles under water and anyone whos been trapped in them.

Not to worry... The transportation secretary will visit and investigate in a month or so...

  • @donnawoodard8249

I humbly pray for the successful rescue of the bridge workers any any others missing and the safety and success of the rescue teams!

  • @ArthurShedsJackson

Oh man! I can't imagine the horror drivers on that bridge experienced. One second all good, the next second crashing, plunging into the water. Hope all are ok.

I hate being on a bridge. I picture this happening every time

  • @davidhauff8779

The bridge looks like it was a tinker toy....

Back before your leaders stole every penny there were funds to build safety pilings in shipping lanes
