2007 was a big year for Prince. He began the year by performing his now-historic Super Bowl Halftime Show, widely considered to be one of the most iconic halftime shows of all time, and spent the summer in London performing his record-breaking run of 21 consecutive shows at the O2 Arena in celebration of his new album, Planet Earth.
Shortly after wrapping up that jaw-dropping run of shows, Prince returned to his Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota, to film the video for “The One U Wanna C,” the fourth single off of Planet Earth. The song was only issued as a single in Holland, and as Prince turned his attention toward other projects, the video was never widely released. In it, Prince can be seen performing alongside many of the same artists who were at his side during the Super Bowl Halftime Show and O2 residency, including the drummer Cora Coleman-Dunham, bassist Josh Dunham, keyboardist Morris Hayes, and dancers Maya and Nandy McClean, also known as “The Twinz.”

He. Is. EVERYTHING. There were women this beautiful all over Paisley Park when I saw him in concert there.

Such a rare talent , a light that shone so brightly , that was unfortunately extinguished too early .
Its all my fault!! i stopped being that superfan of his back in 1997 when i moved from Cali to NYC and grew out of that sort of mind-set. Ive missed soo much of his music from that time til now. I use to get boot-legs and rare recordings but stopped at that moment when i moved away. this song reminds of "I can never take the place of your man" the upbeat tempo of it. Dammit.

A lot of Prince's lyrics are a mixture of poetry, fantasy, and reality. For example, The Beautiful Ones wasn't written for Vanity. It was written for a specific scene in Purple Rain. However, the lyrics, "the beautiful ones you always seem to lose," was a direct reference to her departure.
If Prince had lived to finish his memoir, a LOT misconceptions would have been cleared up. According to him, he was going to drop bombshells.

This is the first of the true rarities posted on this channel. As far as I know only a photographic slideshow from the 21 nights book was actually released as a video for this song, with only a short intro section of this edit being leaked at a later date. It was believed by most that the full video was never shot. This sets that record straight! Great to see the whole of it (even if, as with all this latest batch, the quality is tragically sub-par).
