Great options. One reason I chose the dark green colour is that the bezel accent is a nice dark BLACK, which makes the tacky "SPORT" text a little more subtle 😉

But I categorically did NOT like the product (1988): dark gray numbers on a black screen - it’s very difficult to make out the time, this can be seen even in this video if there is no obvious light source (in some fragments it’s hard to deny, although the light is set as it should ); the same thing - with backlight
Skmei knockoff stands up well in areas vs. certain Casio/ Gshock models, some of which are quite capable. They're all fun watches. Can go wrong really. G-Shock, while inexpensive in the overall world of watches, are overpriced in some ways: Skmei makes that clear.

According to the SKMEI website, the 1988 has a band width of '19mm', which is quite unusual. I think they're referring to the strap itself, rather than the 'Lug Width' which is what would determine whether the straps are compatible or not. It would certainly be nice if it were a mineral glass lens at least, but this is just one of the many trade-offs we should expect for them to get the price this low. Perhaps an add-on screen protector could be the solution 😁

They do offer a model with Bluetooth alone (which I just ordered actually: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mqvDSG8 ) and also a positive display watch with Solar, but not all these features together. Also, their version of Solar is the more old-school, larger panels than you’d see in a G-Shock. Here’s an example: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mr2j7je I’m yet to own one of these.

I can only see a spare parts: - Strap while wait for the original arrives. - 8 screws for restauration o repair old g shocks. - Battery. - Springs bars ( probably). - 4 or 5 button "e" clips ( probably). - One "O" ring. The rest go to the garbage bin.

Here's the beauty of that standpoint: At $15 AUD, this is still literally cheaper than buying these spare parts as individuals - Which is truly incredible. 🤩 I even bought a Spare SKMEI 1628 for this very reason. Almost any SKMEI is decent. In terms of value for money, SKMEI is unbeatable! I like this one, it's a good alternative to the SKMEI 1628.

I don't know if it's the video but it seemed to me that in the stopwatch function the 1/100 sec digits were just randomly displayed numbers.
