    No school like old school, up the Higgins's class outfit, puts other operations to shame. I'd have more respect for old plant well used and impeccably maintained than flash new gear bought on tick with hardly a tap done. Easy to look good when the gear is new, serious commitment to look good after 40 years 👌

      Dead right sick of those 200 horse power fendts with tri axle trailers and class self propelled yokes I'm n my 50s and 20 yrs ago I had a int 885 driving the tarrup double chop and a crystal drawing trailers and my neighbour on a mf 50B bucking it up great memories and we still talk about the crack even now take care bud

      couldn't agree more seamus silage cutting is a mad sprint nowadays give me the old double chop days again silage time was a huge event on a farm now its over in a flash.

    Mowing with a TW15 and small baling with a 8210 ,brings back the best of memories for me 😍 ,lovely tractors 👍

    Love the video. I'm in my forties and prefer watching these videos than the big self propelled stuff. The little NC, JF and tarrup side mounted machines were nice too.
    God be with the days

      So agree with yoy philip i would rather watch a trailed single or double chop harvester any day before a monster self propelled.

    Great vid. Brings back mems off our contractors silage outfit back in the 80's. Ford 7700 on a Taarup doublechop. Ford 6600 Friz cab drawing in with Lee trailers. Our own 4600 fell in on long draws and our 4000 on pit with the buckrake.

    I'll hopefully be helping out with a harvest similar to this. Though I'll be driving a rough massey Ferguson 188 and there will be a 390t on the harvester

    Great Video, south Galway? Watched these machines from the hedges as a kid.
    Taarup DC1500's and Arch Trailers.
    There was a Guy In Kilreekil (near Loughrea) called Mike Lawler who used to cut with Taarups on Ford 7600 then 7610 2wd they were great machines.
    Is that a Tanco Loader on the TW15? I used to drive for a guy who had one of them on a Deutz DX120, there was serious metal in them.

      Galway....home.of the stone wall. I was in Australia years ago drove through apart of Victoria called Tuam, turns out the place was populated with settlers
      Who came from Co Galway in the 19th century.

    It must be Galway or Clare, Arch trailers were the trailer every farmer wanted 20 years ago.

    Fantastic looking outfit here!! Don’t remember a Arch timber trailers or whatever it means….. but down here is southeast it was all Waterford Steel single trailers is what I remember from back in the day!!!! I’d love to be helping they’d boys out!!! Does the harvester tractor normally fitted with a loader???

    • @ConorryanVideos
      @ConorryanVideos  Před 3 lety +2

      Ya arch trailers used to be the main trailer in the west of ireland, plenty of them still in use around ireland. They were made by my neighbours Quinn's now known as quinn refrigrated vehicles. they now make the body's for the new ambulances's. Yes the tw15 on the harvester normally has a tanco loader on it

    • @philipoconnor2236
      @philipoconnor2236 Před 3 lety

      I still have one of them ARCH trailers. 12 x 7. Serious metal in them. Refurbished her from top to bottom 5 years ago.

    • @MarkLynskey
      @MarkLynskey Před 3 lety

      Arch were a west of Ireland thing, MJ Quinn in Athenry. The last of them we're all steel, don't think they ever ventures to tandem axles though.
