Social Robots. AI as companion, assistant, teacher.

“Humans are really amazing at social interaction. We don’t even know how we do it, we simply do it. That makes my job very difficult. I need to figure out how we do it, to make this machines also do it.” Koen Hindriks and his research group at VU Amsterdam want to make AI systems more socially aware, to improve collaboration between AI and humans and make it feel more natural.
