This wasn't just dancing, this was a showcase of just how insanely advanced they are. Because dancing takes lots of balance, timing, fine motor control, and physical strength. These robots have all of that.
@@aneubeck4053 yeah because the third world doesn't have internet or cellphones and even if they did no one would would immediately upload that isht and even if they did no one would find it interesting enough to go viral.
They also do a lot of self righting and balancing on the fly. There's actually a lot that's being calculated and adjusted by the robots in the moment, the software that they've developed for this a lot more high level and people that have these can actually put their own choreography together without that much effort. It's pretty incredible.
@@aapjew18 yes, the robots do all the heavy stuff. I was only saying they probably have a software where they can program complex coregraphies like this in the same fashion as 3d animation, then the robot takes that info and does it's best to replicate it in the real environment, balancing and all that.
@@aapjew18 also, there would only be 2 ways to easily make complex coregraphies like this. One is doing it in the 3d anim fashion on the computer, and the second would be enabling the robot to learn them from a real example. So it's most probably one of the two, personally going for the first one in this cade. Any other way won't be that easy.
@@RobertN010 There's actually a video from Adam Savage's Tested that shows this software in use and they make their spot dance a little bit, it's pretty great!
This video is absolutely real but I can see why it messes with people's minds. What makes you think it might be CGI is the fact that robots in essence think like animation. That is to say, their movements are programmed the same way a 3d model is. So this creates that uncanny feeling in your subconscious because you know that's not how people or animals move. Its subtle but its there. As to why there's no way this is CGI. Well, that's simple. Looking at the reflection, lighting and changes in the carpet, this is waaaaaay above what CGI does nowadays. If BD had invented CGI algorithms good enough to do this, they wouldn't be simulating robots, they'd be selling THAT, and making bank like crazy. And yes, BD does sell software so its not like it'd be a new product for them.

Best Regards, God ps: you may want to make sure Number 1 has the remote for Number 2's audio circuitry. I forgot that part the first go around.

Is no one gonna talk about how good the robots are at balancing, they literally stood on one leg, jumped around while slanted, spun around, walked and rolled backward while dancing, and even did better dance moves than my introverted self can ever dream of
This wasn't just dancing, this was a showcase of just how insanely advanced they are.
Because dancing takes lots of balance, timing, fine motor control, and physical strength.
These robots have all of that.

its crazy how the gyros and motors make the dancing look more animated than robotic
It essentially is animated. The machines are real, but they are keyframed in much the same way.

Absolutely amazing. Thank God we still have people with educations and imagination instead of fantasy and whining.
😂 OMG Right!!!
I can imagine the pain the developers went through to hard code this.
They probably have some software where they do it like with 3d rigging and animation.
They are not only executing the moves, they are doing it really SMOOTHLY which is hard to do. The amount of work that went into this is nuts.
I'm intrigued by this, did they code the choreography line by line?

@@user-jd9sj1mq2b I've heard that there's going to be a new season next year 😆
this video fucks with my mind it draws the line between what i believe is real and what i believe is CGI
