Vložit
- čas přidán 1. 07. 2024
- JUAN IS A CEBUANO WHO LIVED IN AUSTRALIA FOR 10 YEARS.
But he had a dream. And with the help of his friend Dondoy, he put it into motion. It was not without struggle, but he built this bamboo rock house in a place nobody else would live.
And they also have some inspiring words!
It was a late night trip from Matnog to get here in Allen, Northern Samar. But all will be worth it. The Philippines Roadtrip continues!

The man is a genuine patriot. He's not a trying hard pinoy, learning to speak with out accent. 10 years abroad is enough to learn and save to start a better life in the Philippines. Most of the Filipinos I know here in Europe has never enough, they want more and more.... They miss bonding with their families. Themselves are not in good health anymore to continue working. Juan choose the best lifestyle. An excellent Daot
So True!! I know some Filipinos who work and migrated abroad maybe 1 or 2 years they already have the foreign accent🤣 hilarious right?maybe it's good for them it's ther rights but somehow it's trying hard🤣🤣 even some people from the province who study or work in manila, when they return to their home province they're speaking Tagalog 🤣. Daot na!!🤣🤣🤣.
Be like Juan
@@drewb.4069 Lol accent is still obvious. Native English speakers will know that. Even English speakers has their own accent from region to region just like tagalog. Batangenyos, laguna. Quezon province, Manila and etc. Has their own accents. You have no accent only if you were born or spent childhood in a certain place. Therefore trying hard. Same as buying whiteners, changing our black exotic hair to blonde, brown, reddish. Adding a nosebridge to look Caucasian. 🤣🤣 🤣 I am so ashamed. And they call themselves patriotic? Hell no, they are pathetic and stu3
Men like him are rare. But great to find and talked to him, Anselm.
You're quite similar person if you haven't noticed yet. You're just more outgoing..😁😁
I could sit and listen all day with Juan's wisdom. When you get back to their place, please feature him longer. After Franco, Juan is next on my list. 👍🤙🏻 I love the vibe in this vlog, KD. Excellent companion with Kumar.
Juan is such a wise and sensible guy but not too serious that he doesn't have humor. That's one good talk you had there. Nice going KD! Continue spreading good vibes. Your vlogs are quite informative too. Stay safe.
Only few are lucky enough to get to Juan's peace. Inspiring.
*_Wise words from Juan indeed.... and they haven't started drinking yet!_* 😎😎😎😎
7:47 wow! Words of wisdom. It’s okay to be different; agree to disagree; diversity in thinking and comments as long it’s respectful. Tease and kantsaw is okay. Wise man!
How I wish to visit those beautiful Places , Amping Kumar KD ,enjoy .
I would love to listen to a man full of wisdom than that of an intelligent man. I could listen to him all day. He is very inspiring, this vlog is so inspiring. I agree, it's okay to be daot. Being daot for me is creativity and finding peace in your solitude not in a crowd. It's okay to go against the flow. It's okay to be different as long as it is for your own growth.
Juan is very intelligent!
@@KumanderDaot Indeed he is both intelligent and full of wisdom.
What a life! Investment should be on time not on material things! This hit me 20 years ago when I came to America!
Kumander… juan is my mentor in mountain climbing (exodus032), when we are in college at lapu-lapu city, cebu. 😊we are also the pioneering skydivers in our school (IAU). Out of 31 listed lima ra mi ni padayon. Cool ra kaayo na si juan sa una pa. Nice one kumander na feature nimo c juan. 👍🏼👏🏼
Love this vlogg real talk story that Juan's wisdom is so true there could be daot, Philippines is not also perfect like other countries but we must learn form our daot or scar to grow and improve. You are very happy in this vlogg KD I like the way you sincerely listen to Juan's experience story on working abroad on how or when he start his bamboo house. You know I like this interview got sense. Good Kumar is there with you this multi tasking Filipino did from cooking , driving, good companion friend. This is one of your best vlogg KD.
Omg. Anselm- this interview is what it’s all about. My memories of Philippines is the relationships and stories. Please do more !!
Everyone- sponsor Kumander Daot on Patreon!! We do. Help him travel around and tell more stories
Modest , simple & serene life , that is common to people who had previously lived in hustle , hassle city life I wathed in many documentaries . There are city houses so pretentious , built ideals by commercial & consumerism real states business .... until your buried in debt & family relationships is stoned & cold ... & ends dysfunctional.
My apprevciation of this man , & in reality is almost everynodys dream on their heart.
Kuya Juan speaks very good English.
Juan might just be the wisest person to have had appeared in your vlog Kumander.
I almost cannot believe that guy is already a father of a 21 year old! wow! He really looks so young, maybe its his life philosophy which I really, really like! And i must say, that is one amazing house!!
Kumander Daot, thanks for the interview with a very wise man - Juan.
Subaru riders = Kumander + Kumar - Kulas
The Wooden Boat is truly amazing because
Kulas held his breath for his Subaru's voyage
in passing through the sea transportation. 🇵🇭
Wow! This video is uniquely inspiring. The wisdom of a happy, contented person is a real.
Dare I say this is one of your best vlogs ever. Hooked from beginning to end.. from Kumander Daot and Kumar's banter, Juan's inspiring words of wisdom to the habal-habal ride! Just pure joy and that feeling of LIVING LIFE! Ah! A life well-lived this is...
Great choice of background music during the ride with Warren.
Daot your Vlogs are very educational and inspiring. Keep it to your way it’s the best from all the other bloggers

that guy is one extra ordinary guy, his words and wisdom is so inspiring. thank you kumander daot for a wonderful video
watching this video for the second time because I wanted to absorb the wise words once again from this man. I wish I develop this kind of mindset- being at peace with oneself and the surroundings.
Juan is a philosopher-surfer. Filled with wisdom. Maybe he has some words of wisdom on how to deal with ducks blocking the road. Long live mga daot!🤪
Hahaha! Those ducks!
😂🙌😂
@@KumanderDaot Could be worse. Could be a tricycle!🤣
@@christopherturco197 in two videos time... Speaking of tricycles hahaha
The house is a HOME when there are people who know its a home and not a house... Great idea and house.
Mabuhay from Mississauga Ontario Canada & Coron Palawan! Love the house and the integration with the rocks. Well done to your friend.
It was nice seeing your content featuring my hometown, Catarman. Oh I really miss my hometown. Thanks for featuring 👌

Daot + Kumar = Great Funny Adventure!
You have visited my hometown, Allen, and ate at my Aunt’s place. Maria’s Kitchen is named after my late Aunt, Maria Gutay-Marcelino, and that’s her face in the logo. She loved gardening thus the ‘foresty’ ambiance. Nice to know you liked the food there. It is quite a known eatery place in Allen. Thank you for the visit and feature. More power to you, Kumander D. 😊
The food there was really awesome! All the best!
@@KumanderDaot thank you for the kind words. Will share this vlog in the family FB page. I am sure my cousin, who runs the place will love this. 👍💕
Please send my regards! They're nice people!
@@KumanderDaot will do.

OMG..SO WONDERFUL THAT KIND OF PLACE TO LIVE ABSULOTELY ❤ BEAUTIFUL AND VERY CLOSE TO NATURE...A DREAM...
I like his wisdom shaped by his 10yrs experience in New Zealand and Australia but it could be kinda eccentric or different to some Filipinos.
Great video . I would love to meet that guy. He was interesting of his life journey
Words of wisdom. 🤟🏼Great job dude!
Another crowning glory to Kumander Daot's vlogs!❤️❤️❤️

It's really fun seeing kumar being in 2 places at one time 🤩 ( me watching kulas' vlog as well)
The old houses in the PHI uses bamboo peg to fasten two pieces of bamboo no nails sometimes they uses bamboo strips to fasten two pieces of bamboo as well

DAOT na ❤️💪🏻🇵🇭
Good day KUMANDER
So fun to watch, KD. Your vlogs on the same adventures with Kulas are not redundancy but fills in with what the other leaves out. No more food sharing though, am trying to lose weight, LOL.
Very interesting insight about Filipino culture. Filipinos live in islands but really no Filipino person is an island. It's so much easier to live as an island in the West where you can go to work and back home without really having to connect to anyone. In the Philippines, the society at large is a lot more integrated.
