Aurora's coast sits behind the impenetrable Sierra Madre mountain range, that protects North Luzon from all kinds of natural disasters. Getting here, and travelling this road, is a testament to its engineering.
I took the road all the way to Dinapigue, actually over the border in neighbouring Isabela province, but a place where you can feel the isolation.
Riding over its former airstrip, I found a different world...
Waterfalls so tall and beautiful, accessed by trekking along a river bed.
A coastline so rugged, yet amazingly beautiful.

Kumander Daot Rainforest Challenge, motorbike edition. I can't imagine you minded taking a fall into the river with the heat that you were experiencing. What a great adventure, and the scenery throughout that area is incredible! That coastline is gorgeous with such spectacular blue waters.
wowwww... you made it till dinapigue. while we stopped at dilasag back in 2018.. i see the road has improved pretty much. Now dinapigue is on top of the ride list this june.. always appreciate you KD.. ride safe and enjoy

So many beautiful coastlines, yet no luxury resorts in sight. There are still a lot of undiscovered beqches in the Philippines.
I wish they will not allow construction of resorts it will ruin the place.

Napaka gandang lugar need lang e promote ng lokal tourism, yung LGU dapat mag invite ng ibat ibang vloggers para e promote ang lugar.
Dayuhin na ang lugar na yan pero kalakhan ng dayuhin sa Luzon nakatarget sa Manila market, puno yang mga resort diyan sa weekend at holiday. Nasa top regions sa turismo ang CL at ST mula lang sa Manila market

Right! Dinapigue is the site of numerous light aircraft crashes in the Sierra Madres mountains. If you've seen the East coast of Taiwan, there is also a long line of high mountains aligned with the Sierra Madre, such that you can say that they may be connected underwater or was connected once in the geological past. And there are peoples of Taiwan and Batanes who are similar ethnically. Bah? Amping Kumander. Nice motot! :)
The indigenous mountain cultures of Taiwan are also similar to the Igorot cultures of the Cordilleras! I remember that... Yes... I think before sea levels rose millions of years ago it was all one landmass!
The people of Batanes (Ivatan) and Orchid Island (Yami/Tao) of Taiwan are closely related, enough that they can understand each other when they speak their respective languages. The story is that the people of Orchid Islands descended from people who migrated from Batanes few centuries ago.
The waterfalls is really beautiful...

Might as well go to Infanta via Marilaque. Before going down to town proper, there's a stretch of the highway traversing along the Sierra Madre that is still heavily forested, and you can hardly hear yourself in the midst of birds and insect interminggling with each other. Had to preserve it for generations to come.

You should do the north Luzon loop one of the most beautiful roadtrip route. You already started in Baler the birthplace of surfing all the way up to Sta.Ana the location of reality show Survivor and to Pagudpud the windmill capital and back to Clark airbase the former US military base.

I would go with some Off road tires and just keep replacing them rather than run stock tires that last longer. Dunlop 606 and replace them every 3,000 miles...Not run 70/30 road biased tread.
