60hz if you’re in the us
225mhz club, also couldent workout today because my wifi was down.
The most intelligent fitness system is a power rack, barbell, bench, deadlift platform, and plates.
Agreed! People who are serious about working out wouldn't buy this, only newbies with alot of money would.
Perseverance, otherwise the equipment is just dust collectors, expensive or not.
Wipe down your equipment.
I'll add a good heavy bag, boxing gloves, kettlebells, abwheel, jump rope and now you are a happy camper.
Cody Absolutely 💪🏽

I don't know, looks like a black mirror episode
Hahaha true dude
Yoooo that is exactly what i thought as i was watching lmaooo.
Yo this looks sad. I go to the gym for social contacts also
Best comment ever. Usually, black mirror episodes doesn't end well, so I will pass. 😂 😂
Ya not suspicious looking at all 😂
“..what if this gym wasn’t across town but across the room”
Yeahhh we’d still find an excuse not to go
People like jokin about it but honestly I’m wayyyy too lazy to go to a gym so it honestly helps alot
Assembly by myself was not too hard. I took my time and followed the diagrams. I particularly like the pictures and names of the exercises organized by muscle groups on the front of the czcams.com/users/postUgkxKJHyBZ9I1py9vVi-XLpEBg0y-qmdhn3q . Considering the number of exercises it has a relatively small footprint. I needed a machine that was not too tall because I only have 79" headroom in my cabin and this was just over 78". It is easy to use, seems to be well made, and I am pleased with my purchase. I am doing upper body muscles on Monday and Thursday. Lower body exercises are being done on Tuesday and Friday. Not using it on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. I am a reasonably fit 66 year old man and this is a great workout.
technology is increasingly isolating people
Damn right fuck this bullshit training like how our ancestors did barefooted on mountains
that really hit me hard ☹️
You can probably facetime while training😂
Ok boomer ......... But for real though
Bruh moment
My mom : how much it cost?
Me : everything
well that's deep cuz "everything" includes gains and socializing too.
Thanos😂
$3,000 plus tax and delivery, AND $49 month membership. That’s crazyyyyy
dasaini that’s like the mirror it’s only diff is you don’t get the equipment who wants to see the self work out
When he says “imagine a perfect gym”
Comes to my mind Ronnie Coleman rusty hot and loud gym, with nice and big guys to chill scream while lifting heavy weights. Thats the perfect gym 👊🏻

Yeeeaaaahhhh buddy!!

This comment right here
I would buy this right now IF a membership was INCLUDED for the first 12 months. The fact that this thing is expensive already, and then they’re requiring an additional 12-24 months of the monthly membership paid up front nearly doubles the price. That’s INSANE to me.
Exactly!
They'll probably roll out tiered subscriptions in the future. Want EVERYTHING? $50 per month. Don't need the guided classes and just want the smart features and tracking capabilities? $25. And this will become cheaper as more are produced. Economies of scale and all that.
honestly the 50 bucks a month is well worth it cause i love just the guidance of someone just getting you through the workouts . going on 3 months now and it’s a game changer . i spent 15k on various gym equipment and selling them all cause this literally does everything i need and more
clearly it's not for poor people, yet
@@JDBBB OR for older people who haven't been gym rats (well, except for the treadmills). I saw a number of things that would give me serious injuries.

This band stuff is only to get toned.
I was laughing to see the squats 😂
why no gains? You can do every exercise, and as soon as you can choose weight it's no different to a gym
Tonal for free. Run, walk, squats, pushups,...
So many things can be done without dropping 3k.
Calisthenics
@blossomThey will always have the idiots who will buy their products.
Pullups and bridges also to prevent imbalances
But ideally you need vertical pressing and pulling and horizontal pressing and pulling along with isolation
Just saying
Zach Rob almost 4k
I wish there was equipment like this at bus stops and train stations to excercise while waiting
Nah..I want a heavy bag to punch in those situations.
that would be considered communism. we can’t even have public fruit trees in california
That's actually a good idea. I read once that if everyone in the USA just walked 20 mins a day, at a brisk pace, we'd save billions on medical bills per year.
Looks cool. But all you need to make gains are
- Rack
-Bar
- Weights
True but this is an innovative idea useful for busy people
@@soham3156 busy people like me will find all kinds of excuses to not exercise. It all comes from within. A dumb exercise machine won't change that
Немезида
Or even 30minutes x 3 days in a week if you workout at Home with your bodyweight.
Pushups squats jumping Pike pushups squatholds planks pull ups
All you need is a pull up bar and some ways to make your exercises harder.Pull ups, dips on the bar, leg raises, rows on the bar... is enough to get big.
That might be useful too man, if we thinking about old peoples like my Grandpa, but he still like to do some kind of exercises. This maschine might make them still motivated to being healthy as before.
It’s like putting a tiger in a city rather than in a jungle
Well said
Like that
Yep. Good analogy
Apart of paying 3.000, you have to pay a membership every month?
That's a good deal....
Every year I think.. But this needed after 1 year of purchase.
$50 a month. Does it stop working if you stop paying? Is the repo man on the way to take back my kidney?
Wtf?? Montly pay w t f ....?
Dont waste ur money and just get gym membership
$5,360 total.......🤪
@@dredxler2201
No, that's false. You also pay for the first year but the first year (12 months) the membership is obligated, you literally cannot get Tonal without paying the first 12 months of membership.
If anything breaks, you can't do anything except pay for a new Tonal.
The limited warranty does not cover technology, it's on their website.
Expect to waste money...a lot of it.
Been working out for 30 years. Truly one of the most advanced pieces of equipment I have ever used. Convenient. Versatile. Challenging. So many different programs and exercises at the touch of a button. No need to remember weights and reps. Got this back in October. Work out with wife or kids without changing weights! Built in music. My PR on bench is 350lbs, and I am no where near maxing out on these workouts. It is idiotic to make negative comments about the Tonal without trying it. Amazing, and will be a game changer for home workouts.
Yeah I tried a demo at somerset mall in Michigan. It’s totally different and I think it’s amazing how it increases your weight as you go. I bought it. I can’t wait to start my journey. I don’t have time to go to a gym. So this being at home is perfect for me. I can workout anytime I want
Bet you got paid to write this review.... or you are part of the company....

My friend sold his gym and a kidney to buy this..
$3k+$50 membership. I've tried it in person and it feels great. I just couldn't justify the cost, especially the monthly fee. I went with free-weight setup in my small condo. I couldn't be happier with my decision.

@@Sonn69 a hour of gym,30 minutes of commute. Most people don't have gym equipment at home. And I am talking about extremely busy people who wanna start but can't due to time, this is perfect
@@soham3156 Are u saying most people don't have two hours of free time? Since most jobs are 9-5 you have a five-hour window to workout/eat food/relax. Maybe i'm just ignorant but I always make time to workout. Also, three thousand dollars for an "intelligent" cable machine is stupid.
Stoked for the BIG launch. It's finally here!
I have a question
What holds the body when doing a heavy pull down in seated position?
The higher weight on the eccentric is super cool. Wonder if you can do long eccentrics (like 4 seconds)?
This is really smart! I knew the future would get me in shape!
And make you broke at the same time
I feel like the wall will break
My wife is ordering one for the workout room we're selling the big bench and rack system in the garage we never use anymore and I'm stoked to have all that space. Putting a stationary bike AND some shelves in its place.

Great additional options to have when you need to do quick homee workouts!!!!
Literally loving this already
Wow! So awesome to see this is now here!
So many haters, this is definitely going to benefit some people to get in shape! Yeah we get it you only like real barbells and weights but this is a very nice machine for some, respect that!
Where's the built in soy latte dispenser?!
Bars, handles, bench... adding and removing acxessories multiply times during one workout will double the time of exercise. It looks slik and smooth, because on video they hid clattered accessories, that most of the users would keep in some box next to the panel
All accessories are already behind the screen, just pull them out.
thats a mssive exageration considering how much u waste going to the gym arriving there changing clothes and not even taking in consideration the fact that most of the times the gym could be crowded or the machine u want to use is being ocupied by someone and u have to wait for em to finish and it gets very frustraiting when u have to wait after 2 gym bros to finish a retarded 10 sets of bench press because they saw some bs workout on youtube from a roided out individual also the time u again have to change the clothes after the workout and the time wasted on going home so im sure its better
INSANE!!!! I NEED THIS into my life O_O
If this didn’t require a subscription I would purchase today
The most intelligent fitness setup can be a smart human being having some deep knowledge of human anatomy and proper biomechanics...
Nothing else is needed.
I really find it funny when people give excuses like lack of time/money/equipment and blah blah
During my student life in hostel days or in my master's day while I was busy with my research or now in my working life no matter what it is I always find a way to work out and keep myself in shape and fitness..and I've been in setups from supremely well equipped gym to below average gym to "no gym" to few therabands setups..
And based on my line of study and work what can I tell you is you can do it no matter what.. just know anatomy, mechanics and practical implications of those that's it ..
Fitness is not an adjunct..it's a lifestyle..embrace it!
Best wishes..have a nice day
Sounds like you were raised with it. Some of us "older folks" never got an education on it, so we'd get hurt in a hurry just grabbing weights, etc. That being said, this Tonal thing looks like it could get you hurt in a hurry too.
Can't wait to max out the stack on lat pulldowns with this.
Lmao imagine deadlifts. I cant imagine it being able to resist a fast pull of even 200pounds of force
I suddenly buy this product 2months later my wet under wear and under garments hang on this product

The only reason I get out of my house is gym, gusse no more socialising for me
Good way to seclude yourself further like social media isn't doing enough :)
Does it make a clanging sound like when two iron plates hit each other,or does it mimic a roaring sound like when the other guys in the gym push the last rep, does it smell like old iron plates...i didn't think so.
This is a computerized version of PLANET FITNESS, no judgmental zone, lol 🤣🤣
The vegans and liberals will love this. Real gains are made in a gym
Andrew Davis I’m vegan and lean towards the left and I don’t love this. This thing looks stupid af.
@Matt Ford To 200??
not necessarily bro! all you need is adjustable bench, dumbbells and mind muscle connection!
@Matt Ford Oh that's pretty less for squats and deadlifts really.
@Matt Ford Yea dude! as long as you're hitting every muscle correctly, you all set!! Muscles obviously don't have eyes to tell weither you're using a machine or a goddamn sand bag lol
After two weeks Tonal would be an amazing wall masterpiece..
Wait so when it detects you are struggling it will make the resistance less? What if I want to go till failure?
This is insane. If I could imagine the perfect workout device it would look a lot like this. I really really really really really want one.
In your case, this overpriced garbage is just for you !
All you need is a barbell, plates, and squat rack.
Can I max out on bench, squat and deadlift on it ? My bench is around 405 lbs.
Can we have details on the wall strength and The weighing technology
Some cool features, but can’t beat the traditional lifts. 🤙🏾
Yeah Buddy
Its totally amazing workout machine...very nice...perfect
What happens after the 12 month subscription? Do you lose all access to training videos?
Is a monthly subscription mandatory or is it possible to use tonal without it? if it can be done without a subscription, what exactly would be lost from its functionality?
Nah, I still prefer the old school way
Tonal .!!!
Light weight babyyyyyy.......!
😂😂😂😂😂 Only legends got this ...
This would be dope for people with less space to work with or in these quarantine times
I just bought it can’t wait to use it during this crisis
The Luddite in me wants to not like this machine, but wow, such integration. I wonder what all the ancillary costs are associated with this machine? Are their monthly fees to access specific workout packages or does everything come at once. I'd imagine there's a pretty robust backend offering (read monthly membership) that completes this concept.
(edit--->) $50/month for content, $500/bench+accessories+200 exercise access, $250 install fee
most likely u will have to pay a huge sum for it and it might come with the ea type sistem where u get workouts that u have to pay in order to do but its mostly has a free style optiin but i think the batterys or the elcticity bill is the problem here
All until you realise that you were concentrating on the safety of the machine hung on the wall than your own workout !
I mean, it’s on studs. So nah
@@jamminjimmy4545 a strong person could easily cause a safety issue with this
How does the weight adjust itself? I mean if someone is up for progressive overload thing then how the machine is gonna deal with that? Does it create a tension in the rope/band and lets you maximise your efforts? Somebody please enlighten me on this
It uses electromagnetic weights in order to achieve this range. I own a tonal, so from experience, it feels heavier than free weights. 1 pounds on this machine weight about 1.2 to 1.5 freeweight.
Would love to try this
Jake : How much do you lift ?
Me : it depend's on the Wifi
Bought this a few months ago. Surprisingly the weight system is almost identical to lifting physical weights and has been challenging so far. The calibration and multiple profiles are great features along with being able to workout with a partner and have it automatically adjust the weight to match each specific person's goals during all your workouts. The music playlists that come with it are also on point and always updated (built in speakers are amazing). Well worth the money in my opinion.
yes k lol
Hello from France, hope you re doing great.please how much did you pay for this equipment? Thank you.have a pleasant day
I lost it at the deadlift! 😂😂
But can you train legs with it and can you do compound exercises on it?
This is a “NOOO BUDDY”
I'd rather have a loaded barbell, but I'm not too tough to admit that this shit looks cool
Interesting... But can it build calves? Or can we do deadlift?,. Or squats?
I own one - how do you instantly dial up the weight at the click of a button?
This looks incredible! I'm so excited!

Sounds like Edward Norton doing the voice over
Do you have any intention of bringing this to the UK any time soon? I’m holding out for it in my home gym

After investing in a octane lateral for cardio...Im looking at adding a ski erg machine or this!!!
This looks great, but the exercise instruction looks very poor. You should consider making it possible for exercise instructors to create custom programs and instruction to sell through this, maybe on a subscription basis and pay them a commission on subscriptions. I would love to recommend this to many of my readers and clients, but only if better quality programming and instruction could be provided for it.
Jajajaja and we used to fight mamoths and now we need “motivation”
Our ancestors did not fight off saber tooth tigers and pull through the winter in a cave for us to be weak. Sad reality is that people are getting weaker both physically and mentally these days.
@@rpcombats2283 it's sad
We didn't really fully fight them with our bare hands. We as humans are Inherently weaker than let's say a mammoth or a saber tooth tiger. We fought them with spears since that allowed us to leverage our strength into something with a sharp point. I'd honestly say that we are stronger than ever before in human history simply because of how accessible body building information is nowadays.
How to deadlift with these??
Everyone in the comments is talking shit but people with tonal right now are taking the W since all the gyms are closed
