Take two is still a fantastic video with great commentary once again. Love the cab ride part also. We enjoyed watching and have a wonderful rest of your weekend.(Steve)
Move from LA to East TX? When I lived in Dallas, Louisiana was referred to as "Deep East Texas"... And on a trivial note, our company delivers some of the fuel oil used for the steam engine there.
Very nice trip! That is the one downfall about a drought. It may keep you from having to mow grass as much, but the burn bans wreak havoc on having a steam engine.
Great video! What day did you film? My wife and I made a day trip over from Ft Worth for the trip yesterday (Saturday) and had a great time! Definitely worth the drive!
We were in the observation car, and I mentioned to my wife I saw someone ‘chasing’ the train. Lots of Louisiana ties on their Saturday excursion - besides you filming, I’m originally from Alexandria and there were 2 other couples In the observation car from West Monroe! And I have a #610 Louisiana fact for you - next time you are there, ask one of the crew if you can see her……..check out the bigger plaque mounted on the left side of the tender - you’ll find the name David W Givens - he was a MoPac engineer from Alexandria that was on the #610 restoration team………and served as a fireman on the crew while she was pulling the Freedom Train thru Louisiana! Thanks again for documenting our TSR excursion so well!
Alright take 2 🎬! Got the quality issue fixed so y’all enjoy! Thanks for watching!
Hey, I was your engineer, nice video, it was a pleasure having you aboard.
Can’t thank you enough! Did Adam get the picture of you in the cab to you?
I wonder which combination car you had on your run. I sold mine to the tsrr in 88, I bought it from Bert Dockall. The equipment is looking good.
@@LouisianaRailProductions Not yet, but he will.
A cab ride on their Texas State Railroad FP9.
I went there back in August of 2020 and saw 125 on display at the yard
Thanx, I was wondering....😎
GMD also built some F units for the Wabash for use on their southern Ontario lines.
Nice video man
It was super hot when I went there on the 13th, tho I got to get some good shots from the open air car

Man you ought to catch some trains on the BNSF Longview sub!
I’ve definitely got it on my list. I have no details on any operations, traffic, etc.

Anytime good sir, hope to see you out again for the steam runs next week!
Aw man they’re next week? I’m gonna be in Fort Worth. Figured it would be the weekend of the 21st.
@@LouisianaRailProductions yes we’re running steam the 5th, 6th and 7th next week
Those the only dates for October? I may try and squeeze in the 6th as a pitstop on the way there
@@LouisianaRailProductions as of right now yes
Joe, the engineer, is my son...
Raised quite the guy! Appreciate you watching!
@@LouisianaRailProductions Thank You...
How did you get to ride in the cab? Do they offer cab rides or not? How much do they ever cost to ride on?
