You’re so transparent and honest in your testing and reviews!!! I wonder how many knives get fully tested before makers start selling them to customers! Great job to you and Levi!!!
Thank you so much best!!!
As always I love your transparency and honesty. So much respect for your integrity and the fact that you’re not bought and paid for by big companies to market their products. However, I would hope that knife makers you collaborate with compensate you with a no charge knife that you helped design. Hopefully someday I’ll get my hands on a “Dart”!!!
Yes! So the knives I help design, I am given for free. But I do not get any part of the money made off my designs when they’re sold. And I don’t want any!!!! I love just being in this because I’m passionate🥰I appreciate you brother!
thanks for the continued testing
Thank you for tuning in!
I haven’t been over for a while so I thought I’d come over and say hello Erica! Great video and pocket dump!! Blessings to you!!
@@J.O.VenturesOutdoors hey JO! Blessings man!!!!
You always have awesome working knives
Thank you so much!
Thanks for the update. I hope you are having a great day. God bless you and your family.
Hey thanks so much man!! I appreciate you! Have a wonderful day!
Hey Erica! Grettings from Germany 😊!
Hey there! Thanks so much for stopping by. I appreciate the support! 😊❤
Have a nice day my friend full summer here and my knife back sharp 😊
Wahoo!!!🎉
4V sounds like an interesting steel, I have never messed with it. You are absolutely right on how important edge geometry is. A "lower" and "cheaper" steel can hold an edge longer than a "super steel" if it's edge geometry is good, but the super steels geometry is too obtuse. First decide on the tasks that the knife is to preform, then choose a proper steel for the job, heat treat it for the intended use, and put on the proper edge geometry. When everything is thought out and implemented properly the result is an outstanding tool! The steel and heat treat determine what geometry the knife can support. That geometry can be altered in the workable range according to the tasks at hand. Many times if you have some of those tiny rolls a steeper micro bevel will solve the problem. The advantage of this is that the knife will also be faster to sharpen since the micro bevel is so small.
You got it K!!! Geometry over rides a LOT in a knife!!! 4V is a BLAST!!Thanks so much for watching!
Carrying my Spyderco Manix 2 in S30V, chrome version of the space pen with the removable pocket clip, a Bic lighter, a cleaning cloth and as always my MiniBuck Tool which I've had in my pocket since 1997, maybe 98... I have quite a few fixed blade knives, and I've never thought to check bevel angles or the thickness behind the edge. I think I have some homework to do. Good video. Thanks Erica.
That is a sweet carry! Thanks for sharing brother. And thanks for watching!!!! BTE and DPS really impacts performance!
Very cool carry! I really like the Super Tinker, it's become one of my most carried SAKs. Cheers, E!
It’s so good!
I love that Nitro V knife. I’ve got a couple knives in that. Also have one in 4V. It’s cool you mentioned Nick Shabazz. Like that guy. He’s hilarious. If you are bored sometime. Watch Nicks video where he goes through TSA confiscated knives. You will belly laugh. It was GREAT!
Thanks for stopping by Joel!!! Hope all is well!❤
that is a nice knife! and great to hear of the testing! "just a hair" can be a much bigger difference than you might think. when I first got into making straight razors, i started measuring things like that. most of the head hair that i measured was between .003"-.006" in diameter. if you take a normal edc class knife and run the edge at .010" at the shoulder of the edge, then just a hair thicker might be .016" which is 60% more. thats a lot more.
Exactly!!!! Geometry is so important and I don’t think everyone knows how crucial it is!!! Thanks so much for watching Joe. I always enjoy hearing from you!
Thanks for sharing about your EDC and I look forward to the upcoming reviews. I too find that my Super Tinker is the one SAK that always winds up in my pocket over all the other ones I own. 👍 Take care and Cheers!
It’s just too good!
Take care ST! Thanks for always stopping by!
Nice update Erica. Looks like green is ready to go. Have a good day with the pups at work too.
Thank you so much M!❤🎉
Nice follow up on the knife👍. How many prototypes did you guys build before you nailed your final design? Have a great day tomorrow Ms E.🇺🇲🔪🌲🔥
Just one!!! Thanks man- have an awesome day!!!
How's it going fam?! I need that fixie!
You truly do!!!
E……. It’s been awhile just checking in seeing what’s gone on😊
It’s been a while because you acted nice to my face then said some really nasty stuff behind my back. I have no interest in being buddy buddy with you Pete.
Gotta love the super tinker. It’s the scissors for me. Can’t go without them. I tried the tinker deluxe for a while but never used the pliers and found it too bulky. I don’t know who that Peter guy is but fuck him
I love the scissors!!!! And it’s ok he’s just two faced - no time for that in my life haha
😂 awesome. Keep up the great work. You feel like the only edc channel that actually uses their knives
@@smallcanadiandairy I appreciate that! There are a few that use them, but they’re *generally* not the big channels you see CZcams pushing! Check out Richter Knives, Motown EDC, Doggone John, and Junkyard Fox if you haven’t!
Hey Erica. Have you used Shapton Glass stones? Would Maxamet be tamed on them? Gotta ask as I value your sharpening experience , far better than I am. Hope you're well :)
I have a ton of them! You need to use diamonds on Maxamet to get the best/fastest results. Cheers!😊❤🎉
Hey Erica, I am wanting to get into k390, but I’m a bit low on coin. Does spyderco do a good ht on there k390, or should I hold out and try to save up for a custom? Thanks.
Spyderco does an AMAZING JOB on it!!!!
@@ericasedc Thanks! I’ll plan to get one soon and see what it can take
@@sircassie891 yay!
Spyderco does an excellent heat treat and pretty much all their steals
The spyderco enuff in k390 is sick
I get why people like magnets on their lights. But I dislike how Olight forces you to have one on every single model. I already don't like them for other reasons. If you're gonna buy a Chinese light, I think you get way more from companies like Acebeam and Lumintop.
That’s a good point!
