I have a friend with MS. She was the life of the party until she was diagnosed in her mid 20's. I witnessed the most outgoing and fun girl transform into someone who pushes everyone away. The sad part is her story went backward. She started with a man who "loved" her unconditionly. Once she got diagnosed, he ran away and her "dark" era started. Some people do not get to have movie endings.
This movie was hurting me hard. I'm in a similar situation. My disease is not as bad as Parkinson but it's bad and it becomes worse. No treatment at all yet. When I got the diagnosis I was already married to my wonderful husband. It has changed a lot but also things in the good way. But in this really hard moments I was also trying to push him away. Sometimes I feel as I would be stealing a part of his lifetime and worsening his life quality. I cannot imagine to be without him and I fear this moment but even more I fear that he could regret meeting me. He is helping me a lot giving me so much love. Would I do the same for him in opposite situation? Yes, absolutely and always and anything. But it's so much easier to suffer than make somebody else suffering. So this movie reminded me exactly of those feelings.
I never got a chance yet to see the movie....but it was your comment that I loved, referring to your marriage. Love isn't an emotion or a feeling...it's greater than that, it's a choice. My prayers are with you and your family. Thank you for sharing.

I have never been a Jake Gyllenhal fan to say the least, but this movie was so incredible that it made me fall in love in with him for the duration of it. It's an incredibly underrated gem of a film. Definitely in my top 10 romance movies without a doubt, and probably my top 50 films period (and I'm a film school graduate that sees pretty much EVERYTHING). HIGHLY recommend this for just about anyone.

One must be an advocate for themselves as these companies want to frustrate you so you would give up and they wouldn't have to pay.

Seen the movie years ago great movie a lot to learn from it for people that are dealing with people with Parkinson’s in the 70s. My grandfather passed away from it and it’s a terrible disease. He went from working so hard being a truck driver to not being able to hardly move and shaking all the time, as the oldest grandchild at the time being close with him, it’s just broke my heart to see him like that terrible disease like anything else

Also, most hospitals in Canada don't accept walk-ins, so a lot of people don't have access to an ER. In the US, mainly liberal States, any illegal immigrant can walk into an ER and get free care.

Morning and evening for 3 mins each exercise to start with. Total 10 mins. Then after say 15 days for 5 mins. each exercise, total 15 mins. Breathing technique very important: Inhale, pause, exhale, pause....Sit straight. These are finger exercises.

There is always a trade off. While some prescriptions may be cheaper in Canada, waiting times for oncology specialists can be 9 months. Cancer doesn’t always wait that long.

Guess that supposed five years is better than never if you can’t pay on the US.
Actually the US has many many programs that help pay for prescriptions I used them myself all the time before I got on Medicare.
@parkviewmo If they don't like their doctor and want another one, they are put back on the end of the wait list. Also, most hospitals in Canada don't accept walk-ins, so a lot of people don't have access to an ER. In the US, mainly liberal States, any illegal immigrant can walk into an ER and get free care.

Its difficult for me to believe that Anjali didn't have any choice other than laughing it off as if nothing happened. Unknowingly , its sending out a wrong message to many women and men out that when a famous man misbehaves with a woman, its a laughng matter ! I remember watching Katrina Kaif giving it back sternly yet being elegant when Ranbir Kapoor passed some remark sitting next to her in an interview. She even took her firm stand during a press conference for JTHJ , having SRK with her. Thats called a personality ; truly appreciate Katrina Kaif for that! Women can take their own stand if they want.
