- Can I beat Pokemon Scarlet and Violet using EXCLUSIVELY BRAND NEW Dark type Pokemon? I LOVED doing this run, and I became so attached to the whole team. The clutches in this video are crazy.. I should've lost the run more than once.. I GOT SUCH GOOD RNG.
Generation 9 introduced a bunch of new really incredible Pokemon and I plan to do this with every type.. Let me know which type you want me to try next :)

THIS VIDEOS RULES:
1. NEW dark types ONLY (or pokemon that evolve into new dark types ie: Pawniard - Kingambit)
2. No overlevelling
3. Set mode (no switching between trainers pokemon)
4. No items in battle
5. Nickname every pokemon.

Floragato evolved differently from Lokix because of where you were. if you're inside/at the end of a major fight like the gyms or Team Star (but not Titans, since you're always outside for those), the evolution screen will not be in the overworld

In my nuzlocke we lost lots of mons to Giacomo, and we had nothing for Iono and Mela. Thats when we found a shiny Stamina Mudbray. His name is Mason and he saved us against Mela and Iono. Love this donkey. Keep up the excellent work!

The knowledge that you couldve ACTUALLY caught it.
Use and hold the left shoulder button, move the camera with the control stick and eventually, you will be able to focus the Pokemon. No need to swim, you can just throw the ball and start the fight.
I did that with a tadbulb not too long ago

My first gen 9 shiny was also a psyduck. I started a game on my alternate profile. You know when Nemona leaves you on the lighthouse and you have to run towards los platos? There's always a duck standing next to the bridge across the stream there. That duck was shiny, nearly gave me a heart attack lol.
I named him Sir Blu and hoped the rest of my run was that lucky. It wasn't lol.

Maybe Fighting type only next? You have Quaquaval, Pawmot, Flamigo, Combat and Blaze Breed Tauros and Great Tusk:-)
One with ghost also could work with Scolidurge, Gholdengo, Blameghast, Houndstone and Annihilape. If you the last one in Violet you could add Ceruledge as well:-) Water also would be fun with Quaquaval, Aqua Breed Tauros, Dondozo, Palafin, Tatsugiri, Veluza and Wugtrio to choose from:-)

My first gen 9 shiny was a Dunsparce! I ran into it within just a few hours of playing, around where the riolu and scyther spawn. So hype since it has an evo now (sadly, it wasnt a 3 segment lol)

The one and only shiny pokemon I have caught... came after playing and finishing violet and playing it for a total of 150 hours...
And then playing through half of scarlet at 22 hours I caught a shiny deerling. That is the ONLY full odds shiny I've found so far. Need to add that 98% of my gameplay has been done handheld and not docked, so the screen is kinda small and a lot is easy to miss

I think Evolutions and Egg screens work by the same logic as Picnics (aside from being able to hatch/evolve in towns). By which I mean you don’t get the over-world animation unless you’re on level ground. Even a slight incline stops it.

Also, against Iono you mention Nebula eating a berry (which we see) and then say that they get tera stab miracle seed boosted seed bomb, but I suspect it wasn't actually miracle seed boosted since Nebula had a berry, unless there's some strat I'm missing.

Do any nuzlockers not fully realize that the 3rd phase of the 5th Titan Pokemon is Lv. 57 which is higher than the 5th Team Star Base's level cap which is 56?! This is the order I did in my playthrough of Pokemon Violet before the end of each storyline. I'm not a nuzlocker just to let you know.

The different screen depends on the location, it does the same when hatching eggs, my first shiny in gen 9 was a Salandit, first reaction was to panic and hope that against the odds of the gender ration it would be female, encounter it and it was male. Caught it anyways it was the first shiny I found in the game.
