    I bought my lawn mower 3 years ago. First year it ran great. Second year would not start. My son was supposed yo fix it but never got around to it. Today I tried draining old gas from the tank n putting in fresh gas and carb cleaner. Nothing. I sprayed carb cleaner thru the holes on the side where the air filter is located. It tried to run but kept cutting off. I watched your video and followed your instructions and it started on the very first crank!! Thanks for the video, Im happy my lawn mover is running again. Not bad for a 63 year OLD lady

    Lubricating the wheels is such a simple, yet effective way to keep your mower healthy, so I'll definitely be doing that to every mower in the future. I have two older German mowers (Solo and Sabo brand respectively) and I was pleasantly surprised to find actual needle bearings in the wheels. I removed all the old and dirty grease, put new grease in and they're rolling so effortlessly now.

Your presentation is wonderfully simple and to the point, you have such a pleasant voice and I've picked up a couple of things already from watching your videos. Just this week I was tinkering with a Stihl FS 38 trimmer that wouldn't start and I knew how to inspect the carb and what to look for just because of you . It still doesn't run, but that's besides the point lol. Also I really appreciate that you're always in the comments talking to your community and answering questions, I love that kind of interaction. Thank you for your content, keep it up!

    Question: Have my Troy Built push mower (about 10 years old) set at the highest cutting level yet it's still too low. What to do?

    • @HomeGaragechannel
      @HomeGaragechannel  Před měsícem

      do you know if the blade adaptor was ever replaced? I'm wondering because if the wrong one was installed it could put the blade lower Than it should be. Question, how thick do you want your lawn to be? More than 4 inches? If so, you'll need a different mower

    How do I find a tutorial for my specific model?

    • @HomeGaragechannel

      you mean from my video library or a tutorial from Someones else? The answer to the first would be to ask me and give me the model and serial number. And as for the second, I have no idea.

    Those plastic cabs are just such cheap and nasty things. Plastics are find when used in the right areas along with metal or brass inserts and other parts in areas where stress and other things like removing parts could cause the plastic to break. But with those carbs they seems to be all plastic with inserts in stressed areas so its easy to see why so many have had issues with them.

    Dogs? I do believe those were coyotes, that’s why they were skittish. Yes I would lube the wheels. Why push a mower with the wheels dragging when you can lube them and push with ease.
