#DieHard #BruceWillis - Krátké a kreslené filmy
I love the cinematography in this one, it really feels like a hot overcast day in NYC, also the fact that it was shot on location in New York gives the film a genuine feel.
It shatters my heart that Bruce is retiring due to a terrible illness. 😔
I had no idea, though I generally don't keep up with all the machinations of Hollywood. Shame about Bruce though, thanks for the heads-up, he's actually one of the good guys.
At least he gave us a shit ton of good movies..the 4 Die Hard movies...I refuse to count the 5th are great examples of Bruce Willis and I'm both sad and happy he retired...he did it on his own terms! Live Free or Die Hard will always be the final!
Me too and I still hate that fucking illness he still had
yeah, totally agree. i love the style of this film.
@@StarWolf_88 Live Free just doesn't fit well with the first three movies. It just lacks that 80/90s aesthetic. The cinematography takes a huge dip with the weird bluish tint. McClane isn't the same, and it was released as PG-13. Like Indiana Jones, for me, it's a trilogy.
This was probably the greatest of all the Die Hard movies.
Yeah, but not Die Hard 5
I second that
@@user-hu8dq2ug4c I'd go 4 before 5... but still not as good as 3. Let's just forget 2, #1 set the ball in motion!
I believe DH3 is the last big-scale action movie in history. Other movies were either assisted with CGI or filmed in other countries to imitate New York or other US cities.
@@tomarnold7284 I can believe that... it's a shame though...
When Jackson said “GET AWAY “FROM THE GODDAMN PHONE!” to the white dude I always bust out in tears 😂
The days before smartphones.
The sheer irritation in his voice
I can't believe the Incredibles took part of this scene. It makes that movie even more brilliant.
what?
"I just need a drink..."
Ahhh Frozone
@@guts-141 thank you, no idea what the fuck that dude was talking about
WHERE IS MY SUPERSUIT!?!?
Cant believe this movie's pacing was so damn awesome.. it really nvr takes a break.. kudos to the movie's directing, writing and editing 👍👍
From the man who gave us the first Die Hard..this was in a sense a direct sequel hence why in didn't say Die Hard 3...if you never saw the 2nd this could easily be a direct one since there's no mention of the Washington DC Airport incident.
@@StarWolf_88 I agree, and I think this is why there's a lot of contention among fans about whether Die Hard 2 was even a good movie: I always thought it was, even if it was entirely disconnected from the plot in 1 and 3. All of the first three were amazing: but I have a soft spot for the 3rd one. Like the OP said: it never gives you a break. You're on the edge of your seat the entire time - 30 years later and I still watch it with the same intensity.
@@Itsmytest agreed.
3:11 Bro? .... GET AWAY FROM THE GODDAMN PHONE!!!!! 😂😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
The look on the guys face kills me. Jackson goes 0 to 60 in a second. GET AWAY FROM THE GOD DAMN PHONE!

If someone bro’d me like that, they’ll eat their hearts out with my evil eyes 😅
It's not a normal day in NY if there's no alien invasion/ avengers battle or someone trying to kill MacLane
🍷Tell me about it sister ! 👭 😆
This wins...NYC always has some kind of shit going on in a fictional universe!
@@StarWolf_88 and we all fucking Love it
"Duck! Asshole!".

"Trust me guys, duck"
that is the line I will always associate with Mr. Jackson
Why?
As much as i like this movie there are way better lines to associate SLJ with motherfucker. x)
"I've had it with these motherfucking snakes on this motherfucking plane!"
“What does Marcellus Wallace look like?”
back in the day when Bruce Willis was making good movies. good times!! ;)
To be fair it also has allot to do with directing and writing .
@@Shadowman820 I think it has to do with Bruce choosing better projects this time he is straight to the bin (DVD) I mean the bad kind
@@Shadowman820 Indeed, John McTiernan's skillset with a major studio backing him would always deliver great quality.
I feel that Bruce is making bad movies either to kill time or returning favors. He's not short on money, right?
Unfortunately he's going to retire during to a brain condition
Still one of the best action movies ever made.
"Bro?... GET AWAY FROM THE GODDAMN PHONE"
Samuel L Jackson was hilarious in this movie! 😁😆😂
Ger away from the god damn phone
As compared to nick fury character that more serious.
"112 Wall Street or I'll have your medallion suspended"

best die hard movie by far!! they dont make them like this anymore the 90's action movies are the golden era of action movies

@@JohnnyC01 what are you smoking
@@JohnnyC01 3,1,2,4, but all movies are banging especially the first 3
I love how they scaled the explosion to above ground as well to the station. 😂 ALL that to McClain just laughing his ass out of the wreckage.
From an Aussie, don't know what Americans think, but the Twin Towers were simple, but some how more beautiful and Iconic than 1WTC.. Even the the name "Twin Towers" referring to two 110 floor giant square identical buildings, is more Iconic. Glad "Zeus" looked up to admire them 😁. Great movie & great buildings! "RIP" to those buildings, but TRULY, *Rest In Peace* to the lives lost 😔 🇦🇺🇺🇲
When the truth comes out about what happened that day, there is going to be hell to pay.
@@kleetus92 oh shut up.

Samuel L. Jackson elevates any movie he’s in.
All practical effects the moment the explosion happens, amazing work and always loved this POV at 5:18. You can see people jump onto the track for safety.
Did you ever see the making of for this movie? Director flat out said this is a real live subway car, if it hits you, you're not going to have a good day, so stay on your feet and away from the moving car!
@@kleetus92yea….but maybe they wouldn’t be moving onto the tracks if there wasn’t a train on the platform.
@@VermyScrubs No, I mean literally the director said before the shoot, it's not a foam model, it's gonna kill you if you get caught up in it.
"The wooles applied to both of you. I'm afwaid zees ees non-compliance. Goodbye."
Samuel L Jackson's face after that goodbye is great. Not sure exactly what's about to happen, but knows that it's going to be really, really bad. 😬
At least McClane minimized the damage as much as possible.

I still laugh at how he said you don't like white people. I miss those days when this was comical today people would be saying that it's offensive and racist
I found It Hilarious how that guy at the end of this scene looks scared Shitless after having a terrifying fast Taxi ride with Samuel L Jackson’s Zeus. On the bright side at least he didn’t have to pay the fare Haha.
You know what's interesting...your fake....
Yeah man, the joke wouldn't fly today. Good observation 😒😒
@@MrKYT-gb8gs Neither would having the main character stand around a sign saying "I hate niggers" lol
it's supposed to be offensive. the character was meant to be a prick.
Love This The Chemistry Between Bruce Willis & Samuel L Jackson Is Superb. Also John McTiernan Direction Is Awesome, The Action Scene's & One Liners Make This a Brilliant DIE HARD Film
Watching these movies..along with the Lethal Weapon films and films like Pulp Fiction...Demolition Man and I know Ive missed a few othrrs.....makes me think back on all the great movies that came along during this time frame...a great time of my life..✌️

0:38 The Twin towers stood still back then... RIP
Just realized that incredibles made a reference to this movie in this scene
One of the best action movies ever
They don't make huge budget action movies like this anymore
It's always chilling to see the World Trade center in older movies.
Love those “action” movies. After all those crashes massive destruction .. the hero crawls outs, coughs and gets ready for more action. 😂😂
Samuel's voice is great and hilarious
Enjoy retirement Bruce, I hope you will be relaxing in the beach earning 20% 😏
earning 20%!!! very good :-)
John Mcclane is an underrated hero. He was one crazy son-of-bitch doing a bunch of insane shit all at once in order to save lives
Die Hard with a vengeance and Unbreakable, these 2 do great together
4:00-4:21 this scene was also use in the movie the incredibles when frozen was trying to get a sip of water
The jumpy cop in the subway always makes me laugh, even if it is kinda real hahaha
He was in the incredibles as well
5:34 The first time I saw this scene I really thought that Zeus had died there.
Same dude lol
This is my favourite Die Hard film it’s so damn good
Excellent movies 🍿 to binge watch
This is Bruce's best film!
I was working down there when they filmed this. Right across the street from 112 Wall Street that the guy in the cab was going to. It was wild when they blew up the park that's seen above the station.
What days...what movies...

"GEDDAWAY FROM THE GODDAMN PHONE!!!"
Watched this last nite. Great movie 😎👍
Imagine if riddler, calendar man , or joker from the batman 2022 were intense like this
This is what happens when you don't give Bruce Willis the role of Vincent Vega!
Willis went as far as to ask Samuel L. Jackson to play his "sidekick" as they both wanted screen time together.
In Pulp Fiction, Butch & Julles do not share the screen ever. Poetic justice when Butch shoots Vincent.
Die Hard 1 2 and 3. This is a great trilogy. Forget the rest lol.
4.0 is ok.
@@romanmazur3793 yeah 4 was good 5 was just……garbage i don’t know why Bruce signed on for that shit

3:18 almost reminds me of that scene from the Incredibles movie.
This film made me a Samuel L Jackson fan!
100%. First saw this film when I was 10 years old and will never forget it. IMO it is the best one.
I know it's only a film, but I laugh at this cop every time I see him, he's so unprofessional 😆 firstly, all Zeus did was shout at a guy, does he really need his gun?? secondly, does he look like he should be even handling a gun??? hilariously bad cop 😆
Must be a rookie. LOL
@@armorpro573
Or a racist cop; this move sees race quite a few times, after all : p
Good points, there. Why would a policeman pull a gun on a man who just shouts at someone. And yes, the policeman looked like he might be too scared to handle a gun lol.
@@nicholasleclerc1583 Nah, I still think he's a rookie.
He was after him for jumping the turnstile. Still not really a lethal force sort of thing but it does put the phone part in a chain of apparent small crimes. The cop of course knows nothing about Zeus's motive, which is a major source of the scene's drama.
everyone panicking when the bomb is about to go off in 20 seconds at 3:50 lol
It's an action movie starring Bruce Willis. Of course it's going to blow!
Awesome practical effects.
Having just watched this in its entirety I’ve seen bits here and there growing up I was nervously chuckling like: “ain’t no way this movie would be possible post 9/11.” The explosions might hit too close to home
Wasn’t there a bombing at the WTC back in ‘93 I mean it’s no 9/11 but it was still close enough
@@edercortes1960yeah but that happened in like the parking area below, in 9/11 the whole towers went down
I love how that subway car’s undercarriage just vanishes.
I like how the underbody of the last car went “bye” allowing the car to skid across the platform straight up
superb movie and action pack of this is awesome.

0:38 the twin towers were so majestic
No subway cars from the MTA New York City Transit were harmed or damaged severely during the production of the film... as this was filmed in Hollywood.
Actually, The subway station crash scenes were shot on a stage built at the former General Dynamics plant in North Charleston, South Carolina.

Absolutely bizarre it's been 28 years this summer since i saw this.
Probably been answered somewhere. But why was there a trip wire to set off the bomb if it was already mixing. It was going to detonate anyway. There was already a timer on it to start the mix of the two liquids and so presumably the bad guys knew the length of time needed until it needed to explode as it arrived at the station. Or perhaps once the two liquids are mixed it requires a detonator which is what the trip wire was used for. I don't recall the bomb expert at the beginning explaining that a detonator was needed, just that the liquids needed to be mixed. But then again he mixed the two on the Captains table and they didn't explode. Only when he threw it at the chair it exploded. Or maybe im thinking about this too much, lol
And this is why you don’t take the 3 train
did the incredibles get this idea of a cop vibrate while holding a gun?
Cop: FREEZE!!!!
Jackson: I need to answer the phone.
Cop: I SAID FREEZE!!!!!!
Jackson: Just let me answer the phone.
Cop: Alright, you had your call, now I want you to- -
Jackson: Ik, Ik… *Freeze*
Yes and Captain America's elevator fight scene is directly inspired by John McClane's confrontation with the thugs disguised as cops in the elevator. Too many direct parallels.

There's no way any cop would open a suspicious bomb box; with all those passengers right near him. But still, it was a good movie & good story line!
Well he knew there was a time limit on him to subdue the threat, he may have felt no choice in the matter
@@mg19cal Yeah true, fair enough
They had less than 10 mins to attempt to outsmart Simon and diffuse the bomb. You're not going to sit there and stare at it like a retard and wait for it to blow. Also McClaine is not an average cop. He's a borderline mercenary.
