I know this is quite an old comment, but couldn't agree more! Dont get me wrong I do love the other stars of the decade, but Chuck and fats domino are some of my favourites!!

This really is a beautiful song. I've always wished that he would have recorded more ballads. His version of "Cabin for Sale" in that doc is one of my favorite pieces of music of all time. RIP, King.

"The good times come but do not stay' is a line lifted almost word for word from the poem 'The King's Ring' by the American abolitionist Theodore Tilton. Chuck recorded his version of it back in the 70's . Mr Berry of course having impeccable lyrical taste would take only from the best...

I played this at my grandmother's funeral since she introduced me to chuck Berry and gave me my music taste. I miss her just like this song describes. I wish I could hear my grandmother say something like this to me just like chuck Berry talks to daughter after death

Makes no difference what genre of rock guitar you play, if you play rock guitar at all. If there'd never been Chuck Berry... you'd be doing something else. If you weren't directly influenced by this man, you were influenced by someone who was influenced by someone who was. Rock guitar (IMO) is built on the backs of four guys: Hendrix, Van Halen, Yngwie J. Malmsteen...and Chuck Berry. In any cases, RIP. The music lives on...👍👍
