So basically there is no difference other than the name and the fact that now UK graduates will also have to sit for this exam whereas, earlier they were exempt from it. Hence, basically no difference for IMGs.

Depending upon the time of implementation of UKMLA, you'll have to take UKMLA. However, if you have booked your exam earlier then you'll have to take PLAB exam.

For now its 4 attempts as far as I read. With UKMLA coming next year, you will have to keep checking their websites for any updates
