My advise to those preparing: Definitely don't listen or discuss your exam with those who haven't taken plab 1. They think it's doable to the extent of taking the exam with minimum prep. That's not true. It's only doable once you're properly and fully prepared.
I just took my plab 1 test and results are pending. The exam in not hard but is tricky enough that if you do not prepare well you might end up failing. I did not do so well in the test because of the stress and time pressure. It is a pretty doable test but never underestimate it.
Can I be attached with a single resource or duo from the first? In either cases which one is best according to you keeping in mind that I'm a low average student & just going to get started. TIA
Building your knowledge base is key. In addition to question banks, I took simulated tests every other day to build stamina and speed. I used podcasts while driving. Passed with above average marks.

Yes! Many pass PLAB after large breaks in their career. Age is no barrier for eligibility :)
