The apostrophe perfect an easy thing I did not know, I was struggling with "e" at the end of numbers like in ex. 2583e2 always giving me 2.58E+05 and it reads 25800, with the apostrophe the correct number should be 2583e2. Thx Sumit.

Should you find that you are manually entering long numbers, formatting the column as text before you start entering the numbers is more efficient than manually entering an apostrophe before every entry and achieves the same result.
Sir i an working on data where i need to apply concate function on two numbers, that results in number with 15 digits… after that i apply paste special to convert the result in number.. but excel convert that into scientific… what should I do to elemenate this
Sir jab hum calculation with text k sath karty hen through ctrl+1 k sath, or agar aik he column mai different multiple item hon with text text. Like 1, minute, hour, gram , kg, etc. Tu hum aik aik cell mai ja k control+1 kar k her cell mai bar bar her aik text k liye type karna parta hai. Es ka koi solution batain k ya tu format cell option mai ja ka aik bar he kise tareqy sy value type karlain ya dropdown ban jaye ta k bar bar aik he column mai her cell mai formatting na karni pary. Thanks! Easy to understand. Sometimes when I import numbers from other equipment they end up as text without the apostrophe. How can I easily change these text numbers to real numbers? Format the cell can't do that. Instead, I write a 1 number in an empty cell and copy it. Then I use Insert Special and multiply the text number by the number in the clipboard and get the correct number. Can you tell me an easier way to do it?

Yeah, that's a weird issue Excel has. Apostrophe is the only way I know to solve that.

You missed going over p values in analysis where excel uses sci notation such as a pure e.g., 8.1235E-15

If you don't have more than 15 digits try changing the data type to currency
