Some people don't understand that their dogs might not like lawn care equipment I been there did that
I agree. I bought a 32 inch vr2 to go with my 48 inch vr2. Love the combo. They both use the same size blades.. so thats a plus.
Toro grandstand 36” is my next business move for sure. Been using a 30” turfmaster for about three years now for my solo business and i’m getting pretty burnt out from all the walking. My phone averages 16,000 steps a day from push mowing 🫨
But no complaints, i love what I do. It’s fun hitting new milestones and upgrading. Great vid per usual!
Hey Johnny, the pet's safety is always the biggest concern. However, ill admit, I run a full mulching kit 365 on my toro 36 inch grand stand in Jax, and with St.Augustine grass mostly, I hardly have anything leave the mower. I've found most dogs don't like sound of loud mowers they go away or go inside etc. Accidents can happen, but showing people you love pets as much as they do, has made me more money in the long run. I also cut my own yard with my dog outside but only with a mulching kit too, naturally they don't come close. I'm always struggling in gates like that! nice video
Hustler surfer pro 34 inch does me well. I absolutely love it. Was doing 17,000 steps a day with my 30 inch tour push mower. Now I get around 5-7,000. Crazy. Feeling lazy but feeling great.
Those mowers are well worth their price point. It will save your body alot of wear and tear
Love itttt, just took on 14 yards from my old boss's route, idk how I'm gonna do it but Lord willing I'm onn itt 🙌..
48 husqvarna rider & 30" toro pusher..
Thats the mower i use everyday for my business. Living in Metro Detroit, there are a ton of small lots that it works great on.
Figure ill buy a 48 inch or a 52 next but this mower is very capable of mowing most small to medium lots.
This is my best purchase since the beginning of the season! I can access almost all the backyard courses. I'll be honest with you, Johnny, I charge a little more when I can't use my grandstand in the backyard because the gate isn't big enough. Question for you: Should I invest in a two-blade Exmark or Toro Turfmaster mower for my business? Currently, my push mower is slow and can't handle long grass.
I found that my turfmaster I used to have could not handle long grass either although it was the less powerful Kawasaki 189cc engine. I ended up getting a Ferris fw15 with twice the power and it works great but that mower is expensive. If you do get the turfmaster or Exmark 30 definitely get the larger Kohler engine.
I personally found that the Kohler engine on the 30" mower is better and could handle tall grass better, but I'm into minimizing the push mowing scenario because it takes too much out of you through the day
Johnny man I bought the 36" and I use it on most all my yards. And it cut down on all my weed whacking and time and I cut the yards and a acre about in the same time as a 48" and I see a lot of crews running 2-3 36" now.
Trim, or edge, mow! Watch the money flow !
What's up? I feel you on that 36 inch. It is a little expensive, but it saves so much time on those small gate big backyards. My 36 inch has saved me a lot of time on those backyards. Anyone on the fence about getting a 36 inch should go ahead get one, it will save you so much time and effort. Great video as always.
Another thing ya could do is offer to enlarge the gate for them, even say you’ll do it for free if it convinces them. I’ve done this with a lot of my clients this season, it doesn’t take that long and even if I’m out a little bit of time and materials, the time savings on the mowing more than pays for it, being able to cut a backyard w a 48” grandstand vs a 21-30” or even a 36”
We went from back pack blowing off driveways sidewalks and the like to useing a big stand on blower year round and not just in fall for leaf clean ups it saves on wear and tare on the biggest component to the work crew the worker themselves
I use 32” stand on mower for those tight gates.
Have you had the chance to check out the Ferris 36 stand on mower. The toro is a top notch mower too. Thanks for posting
I looked for a dealer.
A bunch who don't carry the Grandstand came up.
I stopped doing yards a long time ago that had dogs they were gigantic headaches. I do have a couple three that have inside dogs and that is fine and they actually keep their yard cleaned up from the dog bathroom breaks :) I tell anybody with a pet I don't do yards with a yard dog and I am not responsible for any pets or gates that may break or fall apart. The gate issue is annoying some people have terrible gates that are hanging on by a bolt so if it breaks I am not fixing it
Nice job Mr Johnny those 36 inch stand up come in handy 😊
They do, thanks!
Great Video I have been watching for a while keep up the good work
Many thanks for sharing Johnny. Great care taken when entering and leaving this back yard and great advice around consideration of pets. As friendly as they may be, some sudden movements could be catastrophic. Lovely crisp finish. POP SMOKE PEACE ✌️
I would offer to set another pole to make gate wider…it’s nothing but chicken wire lol
What the best shoes to get for my lawn service business?great job OG.
When you buy this mower you most likely will be in close quarters, so do your customers a favor and install a mulch kit. So many out there just want to side discharge. People are not fond of having grass blown all over things. Especially if you mow in a mobilehome park do not blow grass all over people's skirting. Pisses a lot of people off.
Good video, like your 36” grandstand.
Thanks 👍
How is the cut quality on the GS? Considering the GS and a wright Stander I
I want to be a landscaper when I grow up
Good morning.good advice 👍🇬🇧Manchester England 🇬🇧🍻
Thanks 👍
Just a curious question . Why are the gates always so small on backyard ?
Good info, good video, thank you!! 👍🏼
Glad it was helpful!
Shame they don't do 21 inch stand on mower.that probably make it quicker. I don't have big lawns
Pets in the yard are a definite not cut. But I have mulching kit for cats just in case... 😂😂😂😂
I have to see where to get a Toro Grandstand 36. Push mower would have taken f o r e v e r
How much do you charge for yards like that?
Great videos
Thanks!
Thinking of buying a 32 stand on or would you recommend a 36 inch instead?
I had the 32 and upgraded to the 36 which is much better
I’m planning to purchase one mainly for my small back gates. Does the 36 fit most gates?
Has tora ever sponsored you are let you be the first to test equipment? Are ever gave you discounts
Do you mow as a sub contractor as well for Gardening companies that don't want to mow for their clients?
No I don't
@@Bladesofgrasslawncare I own a gardening business, I don't want to mow any more, trying to find a sub to take over that line
Sorry for eye watching your video so late my apologies
