A bonus from getting a pdf on Word is that the text-to-voice on Word seems better than that last version I've saw in Acrobat. It helps some tasks and with accessibility.

I always used a standalone PDF converter. It's only now that I understand the note on my Android Word app that says "contains multiple apps."

No, you’ll need OCR functionality for that conversion.
Hi Jason. Thanks for this.. great tips. Bummer that the same functionality does not exist in EXCEL. For PDF to EXCEL conversions, I must use Acrobat DC or other tools to get .xlsx. Maybe Microsoft will add that some day. Thanks again. Thumbs up!!
Have you seen this video? Excel Mobile Import from Image. You can use Excel mobile to scan a printed PDF document into Excel.
@@SeleTraining Thanks Jason. A lot of what I have to convert is already in PDF. So, Acrobat DC gets me started in one step, directly on the desktop. Would like to see it native in EXCEL, like you showed in WORD. That would be ideal. As always, thanks for the tips and good advice :)) Thumbs up!!
Not sure if is in the scope of this channel, but there is VBA code for getting the selected passages of a pdf into a word document?
I mean, once you highlighted the text on the pdf, can you use a script to insert the highlighted parts into a text document?
That would be a helpful option too.
@@SeleTraining I work as a clerk in a court of law. Half or more of my "physical" work is to copy-paste passages from the appeal and from the previous decision, then organize it on a text documen to finallly draft the decision. In some versions of Acrobat it seems possible to export highlighted passages into a txt document. I am not proficient in programming. But It seems feasible to automate that - highlight the desired passages in the pdf, import it thru VBA, macro it into the final format. If you could show the first steps to thatit would be awesome.

@@mustavogaia2655 I've never given that a thought, and I wonder whether I've understood you correctly. What I've always done is to copy highlighted PDF text and paste it Word. Paste options allow for original formatting or destination formatting. Alternatively, paste the copied PDF text to NotePad and then copy and paste that to Word as plain text.
Is this also applicable to older MS Word programs (Word 2007, 2010, 2013)?
I believe this feature was added to 2013.

No need. You can view a PDF in the Edge browser and you can edit it in Word. Works great!
What to do if you want to save it back to a pdf once you have edited it in word
Go to File-Save As and select PDF as the file type.
That has not worked for me . I see all contents on Word as an image
What about if the pdf is lock??
It should still work. Does it prompt you for the password to unlock?
I'm knew on this, my co-worker have all the information in his file he got promoted and send me the pdf but is lock, ask me for passwords and of course I don't have it.
