The summer of punk turned into the fall of punk. Awesome line
To Be Honest I Think Triple H Has Done Enough Signing...Now Its Time For Building New Stars With The Talent He Has.
He should be put on a edge Schedule
HHH needs to stop bringing back fired wrestlers whom Vince McMahon threw out the trash. He needs to sign new faces and create new stars like he did with Gargano, Champa, Velveteen Dream, Aleister Black, Bayley and Sasha.
@@nwo2cool way in 2 years to revamp that WWE didn't push them.
Punk honestly should hang up the boots at this point. Punk's legacy in the ring will be great, but outside of the ring, not so great. I do wish him well and I would like for him to enjoy the fruits of his labor
Or he could sign the same contract that Lesnar, Goldberg, Kurt Angle signed and just wrestle 2-4 matches make even more money and then when you retire still make money off of a video game, a HOF induction and off merch.
Earlier this year, Cody Rhodes leaves AEW for WWE and here we are now⊠Look at what has happened in the wrestling landscape throughout this entire year since then. Boom! Butterfly effect.
Brawl Out shows Punk still is the same guy who blocks a friend just because he was asked for an acquaintanceâs phone number. I agree with Solomonster on this 100%
Punk acts like a teenage girl
A wealthy one thoâŠhonestly in my opinion, I wonder what would of happened had he not got injured in that matchâŠI believe his grievances wouldnât of been aired in the manner they were.
It's sad within one year he became one of the biggest returns in wrestling history to becoming one of the most nuclear wrestlers in the company today the fact that he bought embarrassment to aew to Tony Khan to the locker room and to the fans was messed up as hell and ever since he was out due to injury and the Young bucks and Kenny Omega be suspended aew has gotten so much better with the shows it feels like the shells has gotten so much better without them and also if I was CM Punk I will apologize to Tony and to the locker room and to the fans for being disrespectful let's be honest WWE did not want him back with Roman Reigns as a top guy

I don't think Triple H will bother bringing him back. At this point, Punk isn't worth it. Besides I think Punk has too much pride to go back.
8 years later and Punk is still the same person who doesn't know when to let a grudge go.
I guarantee you if Punk goes back, he's gonna cause the same problems he did in AEW, rubbing a lot of the newer folks the wrong way, becoming a headache, and not to mention the people in the company who already don't like CM Punk like Kevin Owens and AJ Styles.

@@Based_Proletariat edited my post just for you buddy đ
So sad to see what happened. We got robbed of so much great tv.
That Media scrum really made me re-evaluate my view of Punk. It really leant itself to the rumors of how he was received when he walked out of WWE in the middle of his last push. He had legitimate gripes, he was hurt and performing/appearing almost every night of the week, he was going to be put into yet another story line with Triple H... it was a story we've heard in one permutation or another from talent since, and Vince seems to be to blame for all of that nonsense. But to see what happened at that Media scrum all while sitting next to the owner of the company, and talking shit about his talent and therefore his product... cutting Tony Kahn off when he tries to interject... all I'm thinking while I listened to it was:"does he not realize that the people he's talking about aren't above giving him receipts? I mean, yeah, 3 out of 4 of them are both active talent as well as executive vice residents, but they're still wrestlers..."
I think that a lot of former/current WWE talent that knew him from his stint in the company during the mid-teens and the AEW talent that either got to know his reputation before he joined or discovered his personality backstage, have been somewhat consistent in their assessment. He's a bit of a diva. A narcissist. That's not to say he hasn't been helpful to those along the way that have benefitted from his advice when he was positioned to give it, they will always consider him a mentor of sorts, but it's the general consensus around the upper card, that he's trouble and not liked, and definitely not wanted... and the way that Media scrum went down, I completely understand why.
And after the way Punk continues to talk about Hunter and Stephanie, they'd be absolutely idiotic to sign that locker-room poison into the company again. Punk's attitude towards others was on full display, and we all got to see what other wrestlers got to see. The petulant child behind the attraction. And it's not worth destroying a wrestling promotion from the inside out over a box-office draw.
Let Punk disappear into obscurity. Let him be locked into a contract and not have anything available for him. Let him try negotiating working for New Japan, if they haven't black-balled him already. Anything but letting him work in this territory, meaning North America. If Tony won't let anyone be released, then don't release him either. Let him twist in the wind and learn how to play nice with others on the ground instead of the view from his high horse.
He couldâve been justified in the past and been an absolute ass now. One doesnât always have to correlate to the other.
One problem with your theory. CM Punk is part of a select group of folks walking this earth who can call their own shot due to the amount of money they have earned and saved throughout their life. The old saying that money talks and everything else walks is appropriate here. Punk can retire comfortably to Chicago with AJ Lee, Larry the dog and The Chicago Blackhawks and not need to give a worry nor two dimes about anyone associated with professional wrestling. That includes promoters, peers and fans. Heâs a made man likely to become richer still when he is paid out hundreds of thousands of dollars by AEW to just âwalk awayâ. Not exactly the type of experience that is likely to cool an ego or humble anyone. Like it or not at the end of the day CM Punk wins here. He eviscerated his peers and the company he worked for and will not only get away with doing so but will be paid very handsomely not to ever have to take another bump nor smell a professional wrestling locker room for the remainder of his life.
@@elijahnakumura4375 true, but if you go back to how WWE shamed uncooperative talent (i.e. Sasha and Naomi), the crowd would start to chant for CM Punk and someone would shut down the crowd. Stephanie. Paul Heyman. Charlotte Flair. They'd make a comment and the crowd would hush. Especially a Chicago crowd.
Remember how Vince brought back Brock Lesnar? Critics called him a part timer. He showed up on regular TV and only wrestled every other PPV. The talent all had a response that sounded diplomatic and generic. Essentially they all said the same thing: "We're fine with it. It's good for the company." Meanwhile, whatever creative plans that were in the works for them to move up the roster, get shelved indefinitely for a guy that's only under contract for millions and doesn't have to do anything on TV, and gets a mouthpiece to deliver all of his promos. It might be good as a one-off deal leading to a PPV, but not for years. Do you really want to see Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar again?
For me if I was Tony I was just let him go I mean he already got big names for aew he don't really need CM Punk they are perfectly fine without him even WWE don't want him back cuz I'm not sure he will work in a Roman Reigns Era in WWE it's best for him to just swallow his pride and apologize to Tony to the fans and the locker room for his behavior because he bought a embarrassment to the company and to Tony
They tried to ruin the happiest day of his life.
They gave the Z Pack R word their lawyers to bleed him dry.
When THIER paying crowds chanted his name at their shitty shows, Stephanie tried over and over again to bury him while he stayed silent.
I stand with Punk.
CM Punk will have a future Darkside of the Ring episode.
I was gonna say
Why ? For what reason ?
. Either for potential he never lived up to because of his controversial nature. Or just on this brawl backstage alone. This incident is like another plane ride from hell. The producers will get everybody involved to talk and tell they're versions of the story. It would make for a funny episode.

But they wouldn't be working together would they? Triple H is now the office, not an active wrestler anymore. If he thinks he can make a splash and make money with Punk, he's going to consider it. I agree with all the CM Punk criticism Solo, but the guy was enabled by Tony Khan weak leadership to do and say what he wanted in the moment he didn't get any punishment for calling out Adam Page unprompted and making him look like an idiot calling him a coward for not coming and fight him, basically cutting his balls off on live TV. After that he should have never been close to the title picture for a while and yet TK awarded him with the AEW title just a month later beating Moxley in Chicago. That's what I call spinelessness, if a guy proves that he is unprofessional then you should never make him the face of the company. MJF was buried by Wardlow at Double Or Nothing even tho it was most likely Kayfabe him skipping the meet and greet, i feel like CM Punk got instead rewarded for being a miserable malcontent and that doesn't sit well with the locker room. Punk screwed Punk
I used to admire the dude because I thought he wore his heart on his sleeve. But after that disaster of a scrum, it's obvious that he has a lot of issues he needs to work through. He's self-centered and such a pain to work with.
It put a whole new light on the drama that he had when he was let go from WWE. I thought that he was completely innocent, but I'm sure some of his hardships was justified due to the way he carries and conducts himself around people.
Color me disappointed. Some of his programs in both companies have become my all time favorite wrestling moments. It's a shame how they're tarnished.
Punk isnât worth the headaches he causes. Heâs in his mid 40âs and has suffered two serious injuries back to back. WWE is doing fantastic without him.
Punk is overrated and one of the most unprofessional talents in the business. Hes given some good content over the years, sure, but his backstage attitude reeks of a modern day Hulk Hogan.

I think we can safely say that the media scrum really exposed Punk's behavior and true feelings of what he felt about the company. I agree, the big question people should ask is if it is worth it for WWE to pick up the phone and offer him a contract and could they deal with the headache of an aging wrestler? I will still like Punk as a wrestler but I would not, at this stage, strap the rocket to his back
If CM Punk leaves AEW and WWE refuse to have him back then guaranteed CM Punk does a shoot on someoneâs podcast where he does the full story (from his side anyway) and goes in hard on Omega, Young Bucks, Hangman, Tony and Triple H just for good measure.
I think HHH would rather get the bucks, omega, and mjf over cm punk
MJF yes bucks and omega no. Before they were suspended over 200k people were tuning out of their main events theyâre a ratings killer
I wonder if this experience showed Punk that despite how bad WWE was, all major companies will inevitably have politics and drama. And doubly so when the boys run the show and have their boss completely whipped.
The sign Punk is holding up in the thumbnail is genius, and to also have HHH's pic on it is the cherry on top. I forget who Solo says does the thumbnails, but it's perfect.
Concur with your point about VKM âwalking awayââŠbased upon everything we have heard about his personality, one could easily assume youâd have to drag control from that company outta his cold dead handsâŠmakes you think at the end of the day, heâs a businessman, a capitalist, and instead of âMr McMahonâ the character, fighting for control of his creation, we saw him do the damage control he thought would serve his now (more) questionable legacy best. If he did anything criminal, obviously my opinion of him would instantly change. Iâve never held his morals in high regard anyways, and I feel most embarrassed for his wife. But we donât know what kinda âdealâ or arrangement they have, nor should we. So at the end of the day VKM made the logical, safe decision to quietly go. One I have to doubt he would have made 20 years agoâŠ
according to Punks own rules he should quit or Ace should get rid of him as a friend
I get that point. But assuming then rumors are true, I still think it would be beneficial to both WWE and Punk to do business one last time. While what he did left a bad taste in everyoneâs mouth, there were a lot of positives in his last run. He sold merch, he got buzz, and he proved he can still work very compelling feuds and matches. And letâs face it, WWE still needs star power. Theyâre pretty thin on it, and Punk would add to it by the amount of potential feuds he can have with people from Austin Theory to KO to Seth Rollins to Cody Rhodes and so on. Yes, it occurs to me that it would be swallowing a lot for Punk to go back there, but WWE would also be swallowing a lot, too, as theyâve had issues with Punk before. If they can put that aside and work together, well, it wouldnât be the first time weâve seen it before. 5 years ago, I though this wouldnât even be a possibility. Yet somehow, here we are.
You approach it like youâre in sports as a GM to a championship contender and thereâs a big star player out there whoâs a free agent, but is troublesome. The bottom line is âCan this guy help us win the title?â If the answer is yes, you make the move and keep him in line later. When the Bulls brought in Dennis Rodman years ago, he was a headcase, yet he helped make the Bulls one of the best NBA teams ever. Sometimes the risk is worth the reward.
Punk HAS to realize, assuming the reports are true about him being done in AEW, that it would pretty much be his last chance to make a major payday in wrestling. So I doubt heâd be stupid enough to pull the same thing again. If he is, well, thatâs his fault.
If Iâm Triple H, I sit down with Punk. And I say, âLook, we realize that things ended badly between us last time. But weâre still open to doing business together. But we also saw what you did at the presser. That shit doesnât fly here. You even THINK about doing the same thing here, youâre done. Finished. And Iâm talking potential legal consequences. No more stupid drama, no more public tantrums, none of that. You have a problem with something, then come to me, weâll talk. This is your last chance to save your legacy and make a lot of money in something that will help both of us. If youâre willing to put the past behind you and actually work with us, then fine, so are we, hereâs your money, hereâs the dates, and hereâs what weâd like you to do. If not, thereâs the door, thanks for coming.â
I think he underestimates how much Punk and Trips hate each other.
"Triple H would meet with him, and he would make that deal."
He might try, just to say he tried. But he wouldn't want to and Punk would make it far too expensive.
As for reaching out to Punk before? Vince was in charge then. And the thing about that is when you're in charge, sometimes you DON'T have to do what's best for business, because you're the boss. Although, who says Punk is best for business right now? Punk going to AEW was huge. Him going back to WWE would be nowhere near as big, now. WWE just got Bray back. He will do far more good and far less harm than Punk. I'll go so far as to say AEW needed Punk, but WWE does not right now. And neither company will collapse without him now.
I can confirm firsthand that Punk did have an office job in the company. I am being 100% honest when I say this. There's no reason for me to lie about this. I worked as a stagehand for the recent AEW show in Philly a few weeks ago. Unloading and then loading stuff from the trucks. An item that we unloaded was a sign that had the office locations for several AEW figures. Including Tony Khan, Omega, the Bucks, etc. CM Punk's name was also on that sign and it had an arrow next to his name. It was there. I saw it. Believe me or don't believe me. But I'm telling the 100% truth.

My question is would Tony still have let him go if The Elite hadnt had a fight with him? I like AEW, but as mentioned Tony really loved Cm Punk and probably would have tried to sweep Punk's media scrum comments under the rug.
Most likely suspend him
Considering his ego, I wonder how much all this is eating him up. The fact he won the title back in his hometown in the main event only to be out-shined by MJF (even with the crowd chanting his name), that a majority of the locker room don't want him back (based on SRS' reports, sounds like that extends to many in the WWE locker room too), and unlike 8 years ago, no crowd has broken out into chanting his name to hijack the shows (the closest was on Impact when fans were trolling Bobby Fish). One thing is for sure though, if he hasn't already, he really should seek some form of therapy; holding on to grudges for years and the self destructive behavior when he had everything he could want makes me think there's something a bit deeper (sure the simple answer could be he's just a narcissistic a-hole, but poor mental health can manifest in different ways in different people; after all, he mentioned himself how miserable he was during the foot injury, and being cooped at home like that while dwelling on past BS isn't good for anyone).
I remember hearing a story about how Punk was in the WWE locker room telling everyone he was the locker room leader and he would beat anyone up who threw trash on the ground. Booker T then threw trash on the ground in front of him and he didnt do anything. Thr whole situation made him seem like a drama queen and a shit starter. He's not a locker room leader, hes an instigator.
So what does left for his ego ?

Triple H and Punk I don't doubt can do business together, as HHH I think is more willing to compromise for the sake of business. But Punk's honestly just got too many enemies from his actions and he doesn't stop making them. I think the talent in WWE is full and ready to be showcased fully to their potential.
You bring in Punk for a Wrestlemania
I don't see anyway CM Punk returns to WWE. To begin with I don't believe CM Punk wants to be part of a professional wrestling locker room anymore. He's allegedly very wealthy and has nothing left to prove from a professional wrestling standpoint. So why would he put himself through the politics and rancor that being part of a professional wrestling company entails? He also spoke recently about being old and hurt and it's not a stretch to see him as a professional wrestler whose body is beginning to betray him. He's in a advantageous position right now from the perspective that he is part of a very small group of individuals who can publicly eviscerate the company they work for and instead of being sued for every dollar, is going to allegedly be paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to simply walk away. For WWE to bring him in at this stage they would probably have to bend over backwards for him. Big money, assurances that he'd be booked as a top guy, limited dates, the whole works. That alone should dissuade them, but WWE has always been a bottom-line first company and will set aside nearly everything and anything for the opportunity to draw money. So while I fully expect them to make CM Punk an offer, I just don't see Punk coming to terms.
I want Punk to go to WWE just to see all the internet fans have a meltdown and call him a traitor and hypocrite and what not. Just like people did when Cody Rhodes came back to WWE lol.
I honestly really doubt the story that Megha was there with them tbqh. If itâs as clear cut as the EVPs went into the room calmly with head of legal to make sure nothing blows over and they did everything right when all the sudden punk outta nowhere threw a punch for no reason, then punk should have been fired within the first week or two. Thereâs details that we donât know what they are yet if it isnât abundantly clear that punk was clearly the only person in the wrong.
Nobody will have read this far but this ainât an endorsement of punk by any means, I just think that the âofficial storyâ as we have it now ainât the full picture.
@@Lancun why i put it in quotes, im gonna not pass any judgment on this until the court details come out, cause clearly its something more than whats being purported, i just dont know what it is yet
Everyone thinks this all started with hangman or Colt Cabana. But, really, people forget, this was all the work of that dastardly guard rail that Punk lept into foot first. Ha.
And another reason I think Trips might consider signing Punk, to once again stick it to Tony. Basically saying, we signed Cody away from you, now signing Punk away from you. The question being, would it be worth it? That I can see doubts on. But guess we'll wait and see.
HHH is taking digs at aew and trying to take way any momentum. I mean why else would wwe have two ppvs on Labor Day weekend (same day as all out). HHH might want to bring punk as a middle finger to aew and use him to bring in views.
@@javo10ful tbf that was probably scheduled many months if not a year in advance with the way wwe runs things.
Punk generated AEW's big business, and was actually pretty liked outside of the EVP's and their camp. Though he could've handled winning the AEW title more professionally, he only responded to what they had already started. If Tony Khan didn't make the Elite EVP's for brownie points, there weren't media scrums in the first place, Dave Meltzer didn't lie about Punk getting Cabana fired, & Page didn't go into business for himself, this whole debacle wouldn't have happened. The reason Punk's getting all the blame for this situation is because people like to tell people how *react* instead of telling the responsible party (you know, the "executives") how to *act*.
Triple H was actually right in this. Fuck Punk then, now, forever. It makes my heart glow knowing he will die alone.
I appreciate VKM even more. Vince would have never put with this.
good video
Tk is a mark , also every dude in their locker room is gonna back up the elite they are all their friends
Punks ego ate him alive.
i disagree with the CM punk being AEWs Roman Reigns analogy, i feel like CM Punk is AEWs Brock Lesnar, AEWs Roman Reigns is Kenny Omega.
I donât believe they gonna rid of punk sorry
I agree. After everything that happened in AEW,I believe CM Punk is no longer a draw that is worth fighting for
This particular situation seems to have, from the outside looking in, come from the perception that Punk told Khan to move Cabana to roh to keep Punk Happy, but punk says that's not true, and tony seemed to agree with him, on stage at that moment in the scrum. Which may mean Tony moved Cabana on his own, didn't tell anyone why, and let the perception that it was Punk's decision, fester amongst his peers resulting the hangman promo and rumors spread.
If reporters like meltzer, Sapp, etc, are being truthful that the Bucks/Omega haven't been spreading rumors that Punk is responsible for the Cabana situation, then that would mean others in aew are 'telling tales out of school' so to speak. Which would feed into the idea that the aew locker room is more discontent than it seems.
Hypothetically, if the previously mentioned scenarios are true(or close to) that would mean that the majority catalyst of this particular situation is Tony Khan and poor communication to his staff. He should have made clear to his evps, and punk, that he moved Cabana on his own. Maybe he shouldn't have moved Cabana? He should have addressed the rumor spreading of the situation early on, addressed the hangman promo the moment it happened, and maybe the scrum tirade and ensuing fight my not have happened.
You can make a long Playlist of videos talking about punk shitting on everyone throughout the years. He's the problem.
It would make sense for WWE to sign him for a short term deal to come in and main event a PPV w/Roman. That is the biggest match anyone could make amongst ACTIVE wrestlers in the world. It would still cost them a bunch of $, but is would be a low risk move. You can't tell me that match wouldn't draw. If Triple H did something like that and it worked it would be a tough blow for TK and AEW. Also, Punk deserves a lot of criticism for how things unfolded. But, any capable leader/CEO would have stepped in and tried to at least handle the issues between top talents prior to it getting to the point that it did at the scrum. Tony Khan did nothing and really this is his failure in the end.
I mean why people act like there never been fights backstage, EVP should not be relating to wrestlers, unless is business.
No saying what I said until I found out that they didnât kick the door and I thought that maybe they could bring him back in storyline and make some money off of it but after knowing that then youâre right, he needs to go
Hunter's doesn't need CM Punk in his company. And given their hatred towards one another from years ago and CM Punk's recent issues following the media scrum shoot, last thing HHH needs in his company is any backstage issues
Austin vs Punk next year WrestleMania lol
This time I think Punk got screwed out of his job with AEW, everybody started shit with him and the way he handled the situation by responding to it verbally and physically, was wrong.
This aged like milk
Except for the body made of glass đ
@@mr.awesome6011who isnât hurt? All of the top stars are missing time
It's sad to see that cm punk is the being blackballed in a situation that all parties should be a fault about but ok
Best in the world my ass

Letâs play fantasy booking, If WWE brought him back for one more run with a match at WrestleMania who would you guys want to see him work with?
The moment that same punk knows that triple H is the creative Director he will turn around and leave if anything he will want their money to do absolutely nothing
I'm surprised Tony isn't just paying out Punk's contract by having him sit in catering or something. Set the ring up or whatever.
The one thing you all don't realize is that WWE would never give Punk the chance to allow that to happen. Which is why I believe the number one issue here is Tony Khan and his all friends wrestling mentality
I wouldn't think they would take issue with bringing him in for a one off run. Maybe an Edge schedule. They need names for Raw. Outside of Roman, the current talent just isn't ready yet. They need more rehab from what Vince did to them.
Eddie was right all along
