The 1st one was hit too early and hard for him to react, the 2nd one was inches over his finger tips, and you can't say whether the cb would have stopped him or not, because it didn't happen and I think it was Rush who was behind the number 4 on the edge of the box, so we could have squared it to Rush anyway. I'm sure this was supposed to be Cantona's day anyway, but no, Fowler took it from him and claimed it for himself. Rushy actually played a big part in both goals just by being there occupying defenders.
Wow. Firmino scored an almost exact replica against Man City today of Fowler's goal V Man Utd in Oct 1995.
I guess Mane's goal had elements of similarity with the first goal by Fowler.
