    This is a very informative video, and I've been looking into trying PSA grading for the first time. I've always said that if you have a card, no matter the condition, and it holds some meaning to you, then I personally think it's worth it. People are just so bent on prices, and perfect condition, and all that, and that is something that I understand a lot. Condition and price can be a big deal to most collectors, especially with the more popular cards in a set, like the more expensive ultra rares, secret rares, etc. But in my eyes and mind, I would get my cards graded not for any specific purpose, like selling it or anything like that. Just to treasure them, and hold on to them in the future. That's my personal philosophy for things like this. This is a fantastic video, by the way. :) Keep it up.

    Some great advice here 😀 I, personally am a great fan of PSA 9s, so much cheaper than 10s and for most of us just more affordable and collectable...! Sweet tips on what to grade as well. But the best answer to give in general is that it’s really up to your collecting/ trading needs!😆

    • @Ruxin34
      @Ruxin34  Před 4 lety +1

      PSA 9 is a great value buy! Not necessarily as good to grade and get 9s, but nothing wrong with them either. Just not going to increase the value of the card to much.

    • @CasualYugiStuff
      @CasualYugiStuff Před 4 lety

      Ruxin34 yea totally agree, I’d say PSA 8 are like NM raw cards almost the best a raw card can get other than those raw cards that have 10 “potential” which is the reason we send to psa hoping for 10s.. cause to us we think they have 10 potential but end up getting 9s!

    Only cards that did great for me selling right away are with Hidden Fates since the market got crazy, that won't always be the case but for sure agree that assessing the benefits and sticking with older cards is the best way to choose what to grade. I have a starlight rare that is clean from eternity code and has good centering that I was gonna sell but will probably grade it instead now. Any thought on the Toon Chaos Collector Rares? Have a 1st edition CED CR but its a little off center so think Ill just sell it raw, only thing is these are more collectible cards so maybe it might be worth it to grade as a 9 either way.

    I know nothing about these cards and even tried to learn how to play but no one to show me and I read directions over and over and still didn't get it and no one locally plays...so I guess it would not hurt to start picking out a few hundred to send in? For example I pulled a Chamber Dragonmaid from Eternity code in Starlight Rare and it is my first Starlight Rare pull since I started collecting 6 months ago. I know you said that grading new cards is a waste and most new cards are only high price for the current meta but with something as hard to pull as a Starlight Rare, would that make it worth it?

    • @Ruxin34

    I have two JMP-EN005 Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragons that are still in the factory sealed wrapper and I can't see any blemishes or scratches or anything on them. Would they be worth getting graded? As well as would they keep it in the wrapper or would they remove it? Do they put the card in a sleeve, if they do would you have to supply the sleeve or is it just a generic one they use?
    Edit: I'm watching the video as I type on mobile and it's difficult for me to see but I think the reflection is making it look like you have a black border on your cards, hence the sleeve question. I'm assuming they don't sleeve.

    • @Ruxin34
      @Ruxin34  Před 4 lety

      I don’t think they grade sealed cards. Those are probably better kept sealed, as they don’t have super high value, even if they get 10.

      asdfasd not reliably. Basically, you want to look at the collectibility of the card, and the rarity of the card. If it is an iconic Yugioh card it will probably increase in value, such as Blue Eyes. If the card is hard to obtain, it will go up as well. Mass printed cards that are good in the meta but not iconic will probably lose value over time as they are reprinted/fall out of play in the meta.

      @@Ruxin34 I figured it would be worth a shot lol. I forgot I had it and ran into a guy that had a PSA GM10 of the Rayquaza for 4k on ebay and looking up similar sells and people bought them. I also have a Secret Rare Trainers Mail, M Rayquaza EX secret rare, as well as a secret rare Gyarados EX and PSA 10 sells like hot cakes right now for those. I wanna send in this Mewtwo and Mew Tag Team GX but I don't know if I wanna wait later to send it in or send it in now and see what grade I could get. Only issue I have with PSA is that it is expensive as hell. You're already shelling out over $100 for the gold membership just so you can unlock the benefits then turn around and spend like $500 just to send the cards in. But it's really a gamble cause you're relying on that grade to get you the fullest value out of that card.

    • @Ruxin34

    • @Ruxin34
      @Ruxin34  Před 4 lety

      Right now the popular ones in 10 have good potential because the print quality is terrible (harder to grade), and there aren’t to many first ed boxes (unless they have another 1st ed run)

    Hey, if a $3 card becomes a $30, I would consider that pretty good lol.

    • @Ruxin34
      @Ruxin34  Před 4 lety +7

      Yes, but the negatives are the chance of not getting a ten. Also, you have to factor in the grading costs. So add $8 to the $3, its $11 cost. So the card goes up $19 but it takes 85 business days aka about 5 months to get it back. Also the card may not get a ten, or it could get damaged. So there are a lot of factors involved. The simple 3 to 30 is great but its not that easy usually

    • @andrew8930
      @andrew8930 Před 4 lety

      But it cost you $20. So a $3 card becomes $7 card. You made four bucks, great.

    • @philipc3262
      @philipc3262 Před 4 lety

      @@andrew8930 your math is wrong. If it becomes a $30 card and my cost basis is $11. That would theoretically be a $19 profit. Now, assuming a fee of 0.1295 and shipping which is $3, you make around $12 bucks. And if you already have a bulk submission, why not throw the card in there? You have nothing to lose.

    Doesn't it get tedious going to ship out cards to people everyday? Consider doing the give away once per week, instead of everyday. With the concept being similiar to what it is now. Just keep track of the people that like and comment on your videos for the week and choose from them. That way it's easier on you in general, and the give away is still done.
