This pedal needs a dual mono mode: delay to output a, reverb to output b. Delay for the main signal, shimmer reverb through a separate amp. That way, you could use a splitter in front of the Specular Tempus, to add an overdrive to the delay and a volume pedal to the shimmer (both have to be in front of the delay or reverb.)
Very nice unit, sounds very large and ambient. Great riffs and licks Leon.. And these tones, OMFG they're magnificent! Edit: this might be somewhat trivial to some but I've never even thought of using different colour cables. This could make things very simplistic.
Man. Opened YT and there you are! Too cool! It does sound really good. Really love those delays. Man, I can see how one can get lost in the ambient stuff for days. Just too cool. Great video Leon
This pedal is truly amazing. I have had mine now for about 3 months and I am just now building presets with the pc software. Thanks for always sharing. Your playing is so awesome! Like you I am all about delays. This pedal does dotted 8th real easy using the pc software. Should be i to the midi next week once all the presets are built. Can’t wait to tie it all together with my G3. Thanks again great video!
I got the guitar, I got the amp, I got it all, but I just can't play. When I watch videos like yours I love how you can just strum out tunes effortlessly, but at the same time It's depressing... Great video about the machine.
Stick at it - guitar is such a rewarding experience when we try to expand our own abilities rather than compare them to others. If you can afford it, find a teacher who can help you set a practice routine and work towards your goals as a player. If not, feel free to ask anything you like here!
Ok dude....It's been 4 years. How are we doing? Also don't forget, there's always someone better than the best person. It's an endless battle. Just play for the joy of it. Use Leon as inspiration not depression ;) Have you been practicing?
Been debating and teetering on the fence about getting this one for a long long time. With all the reverbs I own it's hard to justify, but wow, this sounds good. Ryan through the Anti-Shimmer was epic to the power of infinity.
Yeah it's definitely a "want" rather than a "need", but I'd be pretty curious to hear what you think about it. It's nowhere near as intuitive to use as something like a Bigsky (what is?) but there's some really lovely smooth, deep verbs in there.
@@LeonTodd Hey just curious, were you running this pedal in stereo with 2 amps? I’m guessing that you did in the demo given all the cables running thru it. How does this pedal hold up in Mono on a pedalboard for typical guitar use?
WOW great video dude! I was thinking of buy a Strymon Big Sky, but after watching your video i think i want the Tempus instead to run my Synths through!
I don't need this as I have an HX effects that I'm really happy with but, that doesn't mean I can't share my opinion and that is i think it sounds awesome. Also your singer... the way he accents "cry" was great!
O M G What was that first song? My computer is down for the count so I can't go through my iTunes right now to assist me in figuring it out. I did hear a bit of Damn Yankees sound in there later on but that first song is bugging the hell out of me Leon. Oh wait,,,, !!! I think I know now but my computer won't bloody start to verify it!
@@LeonTodd yep. I figured it out during the vocal part. There is another song that it reminds me of as well but I can't place it. MSG, Lillian Axe, Krokus, Helix, Armoured Saint, Saxon, hell it could be Whitesnake but I swear I have heard something close to it a long time ago. Oh well, it is all just a _Memory in the Making_ after all.

Interesting pedal. The multi tap delay and plate reverb sounded pretty good. I'm a simple guy when it comes to reverb FX though. 👍

It's a wonderful rabbit hole
Yea, more videos on this please! lol Now you got me wanting one. Over the internet it sounds stunning, so in person it must be absolutely epic.
It's a stunner, not a bad sound in sight

Couldn't agree more!
Great video as always- would love more with this pedal. Benn Jordan did a fun review for those wanting more.
Benn's vids are the best, I'm addicted to his channel atm

Don't despair! Keep banging on at it and never ever loan out your 1985 Peavy Patriot guitar and amp to anyone or you will never see it again! ;-)

Keep at it my friend! We were all there at one point so you just gotta keep on keepin on. Practice practice practice
Thanks for the support and encouragement guys. Much appreciated.

excellent demonstration. thank you

Well done Brother! Enjoyable and Pleasant! Thanks for sharing Leon and Be Well All!
Great playing, great demo. Fantastic 👏
Thanks for listening! So many sweet verbs

@@davemcafeeguitar stereo, correct. You miss all the fun panning stuff in mono but for straight up delay and verb it's killer.

As I see just Delay or Reverb can be turned on, not both at same time, right?

I think the vocal reverb was the best tone of the video.
Would love to see you check out some old Lexicon PCM70/80's
As would I. All the clips I've heard sound incredible

Man your fingers are like a machine, Fast! I thought I was fast.
Very nice! I must have one!
Green PRS...a man after my own heart. Your playing is kind of similar to mine, too. Its kind of like a twilight zone episode watching this 🤨
Cool video, as always. H9 DelaysReverbs vs GFI who do you pick and why?!
Honestly they're both so good at what they do it's hard to split.
I feel slightly sea-sick, but enjoyed your playing as usual Leon.
Love GfI 😍
yo! would i be able to individual turn on and off reverb and delay separately? cheers!
Hey Leon I really enjoyed your Circular Delay Boss video. Is it possible to make a circular delay using the 3tap delay in the Specular Tempus?
great question! I need to try that
@@LeonTodd Did you ever try it?
Do a review of gfi synesthesia
I would love to do that! Looks like an epic pedal.
It would be fantastic👏🎸🎛
Cool vocals
Ryan's great isn't he?
Leon how could you put the Specular as vocal fx? You reamp the vocals?
You can simply run it after a microphone preamp. Or use an AUX send on a console. Or a hardware effect loop in DAW. There are plenty of ways.
Now you've made a video with the kind of playing that made me purchase it in the first place. Bahahaha :p
Meet ya halfway across the Great Australian bight and we can both jam through it in stereo!
Five Kilo Tons
Wait until you see the price
I've heard it's very hard to program not versatile, and there is only 3 presets where you can play reverb and delay together. Is it true or not?
@Leon Todd HA!!! STOP!!! Your product demo videos make me want to spend money!!!
Say jewel next say dual. 😂
To me, almost a glorified reverb. Not very versatile.
