Have planned on picking one of these up. Both for the nostalgia and I want a good, reliable
gun that doesn't injure my pocket book. I have a sig 320 classic that is a fine pistol, but it's so expensive that mostly it just sits in the case. I'm hoping the JSOC will be a good gun that I won't mind banging around with. So fat I have only seen one negative report on the fit and finish after a ton of written and video reviews.
I don't understand the issue that some folks have with this pistol. Fit and Finish is great on mine. It is accurate, it is reliable and functions great!! You can't beat it for the price either!
And like any other 1911, you can take it to a gunsmith to get it "Tweaked" to fit your needs.
I bought one very well built tight gun. I did have some last round jams I did totally clean gun on the inside. I also got to around 300 rounds and the gun broke in great I now have over 1k through it it's very accurate runs great.
It just needed some break in and like you did, a good cleaning.

In all honesty, it’s a good pistol.
This dude shoots .45 likes it's 9. While many youngbucks shoot a .45 with no recoil control 💪
.45 has more recoil and muzzle flip than 9mm, but I tend to put the fear of God on my pistols, sometimes too much...

This gun is like that girl you can watch hockey with... Her parents are not rich and shes not a snobby stuck up bitch that thinks she is an instagram model and uses her parents credit card number to purchase things with your amazon account. And gets your account locked out because of it. No that's not this 1911... This is the 1911 that you bring home to mom.
Seriousness though... I believe that the mid to late 90s delta operators were the end of firearms training. Things only come full circle and eventually end up rite back there. And tend to go so far away from that they just look ridiculous. This Handgun represents to me the pinnacle of handgun training. And is all you really need.
This is for those that like basic 1911 Fighting Guns and don't want to get a second mortgage to get one

The truth is there was nothing wrong with the Kimber I had for 15 years before this Wilson.

I just bought one and it’s been a total disappointment. Slide to frame fit is sloppy. Thumb safety is mushy. Throws at least two casings from each magazine back into your face.
I don't understand the Sloppy Slide, but the ejection, it is a normal and easy to fix issue, ANY gunsmith can fix that in no time.
